  1. Something like, "Listen, you guys know me. You've been doing this a long time. It's hard to win in this game. We like the position our roster is in, but we think we have a shot at adding some real difference makers."
  2. Agreed on Roman. He's faster than Downs though, but doesn't get separated as often. I wonder if AD is off the board because of character and Ladd is off because of injuries. I'd be okay with Franklin. If Burton is cleared character wise, he's the best WR available. Might be #4 WR in this draft, but his character concerns are massive. I loved Tez, but completely fell off after the Senior Bowl. He terrifies me now. I'm seeing Denzel Mims, and I LOVED Denzel. I don't want to make the same mistake again.
  3. In that case, we have a few years to prepare for BTJ's breakout. 😂
  4. Hopefully we can actually get some pressure now
  5. He will be a potential DROY, but I don't know how to feel. It's a deep WR draft, so let's just hold out.
  6. Dang. This is exactly what I didn't want to happen.
  7. Dang! Why don't we have the laughing or crying reaction anymore?!? 😂
  8. Mayflower Transit moved to St. Louis, so they'll have Mayflower move the team to St. Louis in the middle of the night after the draft.
  9. The Colts trade up to #8 or #9 for a WR or Bowers. My heart says Ballard won't do it, but he got a rare clock restart when he drafted AR. He has to win the division or at least make the playoffs or his seat will be hot.
  10. I don't know if he gets past the Giants, but if he falls to pick 8, Atlanta apparently wants to move down.
  11. Crazy, but he's so productive. He won me my dynasty fantasy league this year. Teams are going to start drafting multiple WRs a year and letting guys walk in FA more often.
  12. If we draft him, I'll go back and watch more film. Obviously, if he comes here he won't need to be THE GUY right away, and Reggie will be his teacher. If he can succeed anywhere, it's here, so I suppose his landing spot will determine a lot.
  13. What do you like most about him? Personally, I liked him less the more I watched film. I see his comp as if DK Metcalf didn't attack the ball. I think he'll be good, but highly limited coming out. I'd like to know if I need to go back and reevaluate.
  14. I don't think his history has negatively impacted the team, so I can't give you any examples. I said the players love him and only say good things. Yes, the media still mentions Jim being a reason people don't want to come here. Cowherd said it a few months back and I watched an ESPN clip during free agency where someone said it there too. I disagree with them, but yes, they still say it.
  15. Honest question; do you think Jim's history with substance abuse negatively impacts the team? The media certainly believes so. I constantly hear media say players, coaches, and front office personnel don't want to come here because of Jim's addiction history and personality. Every player I've seen talk about Jim absolutely loves him and says he's one of their favorite people in the world.
  16. In some simulators I've ran, Bowers is taken before #15, but Odunze is available for us. While I highly doubt this will happen, the situations that unfolded in the simulations did seem highly possible. Crazier things have happened. Having 4 pass catchers taken in the first 14 picks would be unusual. Is this year viewed like 2004? I also wonder if the amazing depth of the WR position in this draft will push some WRs down. The top 3 guys are likely immune to that, but you never know. You can draft an immediate impact WR in rounds 2-4 this year.
  17. I didn't say someone who only plays Madden. I specifically said someone who enjoys Madden could be a GM, but they wouldn't be a GM because of Madden. I think it's possible that a high school kid loves rebuilding in Madden, and goes on a career path to become an NFL GM. Madden might have been the spark to a flame, but it wouldn't be the reason they were a GM, and it certainly wouldn't have equiped them to be a GM at all. That was my point.
  18. I think it's certainly possible that a Madden player could be an NFL GM, but it wouldn't be due to Madden. Maybe having enjoyed Madden would drive a person to that career path, but it would be education, people skills, and hands-on experience that would make them a good GM. I'm an IT district manager for a federal agency. I enjoy building teams in Madden, but playing Madden didn't equip me to communicate and deal with people in high pressure situations, and it didn't give me the organizational and managerial skills required in my career.
  19. I've been saying, I won't be shocked if WR (outside of the elite of the elite) starts to become like RB. Teams draft them and let them walk after the first contract. These guys are so good coming out of college these days. It seems every year you can draft a guy in the 3rd round that will have 1000 yards a year.
  20. *Regardless of the question asked* "Now that's a loaded question! Listen, you guys know me. I'm not gonna flinch. Nothing is off the table, and we're gonna do our due diligence. Look, I like the position our roster is in. We've got real talent here. Would you like to be a little better at some positions? Sure. But I also think there's a lot of talent in this draft, and I think we can add a few difference makers on both sides of the ball."
  21. Thanks for the extra information. I'll be honest, I was working so I just glanced at the headline and didn't have time to read the article. Definitely a little misleading, but it was my bad for not actually reading it. He has all the talent in the world. If the Colts can draft him and keep his health in check and ensure there aren't real character concerns, I'd be happy.
  22. That is exactly what I thought! 😂 I watched him and he reminded me of George Pickens with his personality.
  23. Dang. Yeah, I didn't see this before my last post. Yeah, this absolutely matches what you see on the tape. Takes plays off if he doesn't think he's getting the ball. I'm not sure if he's a team first guy.
  24. I was very high on BTJ early, but he terrifies me the more I watch him. Crazy potential, but is a one trick pony, and you have to be certain you can develop him. I would prefer Adonai at this point, but he absolutely takes plays off during runs or if he doesn't think he's getting the ball. I don't think Ballard will think he matches the culture.
  25. Fair enough. I was considering round 1-2 as "early." I suppose it is a very subjective word to use. I apologize. I personally like Latu the most if we're going that route.
