  1. I've been 100% on AR being our franchise QB even before we drafted him, but I don't see anything wrong with looking back to critique the past to ensure you don't repeat it. God forbid in three years Anthony decides to retire after another bad injury, I would hope Irsay and Ballard would try to swing for another early pick QB rather than signing a 38 year old Kirk Cousins to limp along.
  2. I've been a Ballard defender, but this fact is a massive indictment on his tenure. The second Luck retired, we should've put some random kid in at QB to get the #1 pick. I was always against his plan of putting in old used QBs to try and win. I would rather have had one terrible season over seven years of disappointment.
  3. I obviously would love Marv for the nostalgia, but I agree that Nabers will be better. He's unreal.
  4. Dang. Has it really gotten that bad? I worked half a block from the Fieldhouse, but I moved in 2016. I worked until 1am many nights and never really felt unsafe.
  5. Puka didn't have mind-blowing stats in college though. Maybe Keon Coleman is the next Puka. Numbers don't wow you and his combine was downright slow for a WR, but he ran faster in the gauntlet drills than anyone because he trusts his hands and his body. Disciplined WR who is always where he should be, and just catches the ball. Maybe Ladd McConkey is that too.
  6. I think we can get a true #1 with our #15 pick. I think at least a few of the top 5 corners fall to the low 20s. If we can get a MPJ replacement and a #1 corner, that would be a great draft.
  7. Same! I think MPJ is a Corolla. Not gonna win in a race, but he's reliable for a long time and gets you where you want to go.
  8. I agree. I love MPJ, but there are probably at least 5 WRs in this draft better than him after one year. By better, I mean a true #1 take over game WR.
  9. Kid is coming out 5'7, 160lbs with a 4.32 40 out the birth canal.
  10. I've been watching BTJ film recently, and while I originally had a late 1st grade on him, I've changed to mid-1st, so I agree with this at this point. I would be completely fine with us drafting him at 15. I won't be surprised if both LSU WRs are top 10 receivers in the league in a year or two.
  11. I thought the same until I saw his measurements. 31" arms is very difficult to overcome at DL. I think it's enough to make Ballard pass.
  12. Are sure it showed me the same video? I didn’t see a single slide, and that was some of the worst QB play I’ve ever seen. 😢 Thankfully I’ve already seen him be amazing in the NFL.
  13. Minshew and Jackson have very similar skillsets and play styles, so it makes sense. /s
  14. You don’t want to put him on those twitchy route running #1s, like Garrett Wilson, but he matches up great against strong big body #1s, like St. Brown and Nacua. He also plays well against straight line speed guys. He absolutely can be a #1 outside CB in the NFL. You just might want to move him around when facing a few certain WRs. He immediately comes into the league as one of the best run stopping CBs. Dude sheds blocks like a speed edge.
  15. I agree, Jim is a rough name. Billy Bob Cooter sounds much more professional.
  16. I’ve heard he wants to play out West. Is there any possibilities of trading Pittman and pick #15 to move up? It’s wishful thinking, but do you think San Diego would trade pick #5 for #15 and Pittman?
  17. Believe me, I’ve already prepared myself for us going Edge. 🥲
  18. I think it’s fair to critique PFF’s grades, but I actually agree with this. He is helped greatly by the rest of the defense, especially the LBs who help a lot in coverage.
  19. I like Rome and would love if we got him. My heart says Woods can still be an elite TE, because I was so high on him pre-draft. Malik is my dream, but he’s almost certainly not going to be there.
  20. I’ve always thought Aiyuk reminded me of a shorter MPJ, but I’ll admit I don’t watch the 49ers much. I personally would love to draft a young WR in this draft. It’s deep and really talented at WR. I’d like us to get another weapon that will grow up with AR. Pittman can be the consistent old wise vet, Downs is our slot gadget guy, Alec is the burner, and maybe we can draft our legit #1 this year.
  21. I personally didn’t want anything to do with Young, but as a small guy who has tall friends, I just can’t get my mind past the thought of a QB throwing over guys that are that much taller than he is. I know what it looks like when you’re small, and I didn’t trust him at all. I loved both Stroud and AR and was fine with either one. I felt Stroud had the higher floor and AR had the higher ceiling. I still feel that way, and I think if AR was the QB against Houston, they return home crying.
  22. I’ve been a Ballard apologist, but I think his single biggest issue was not rebuilding when it was required. After we lost Luck, he wanted to stay in the playoffs with the same team, but with any number of sub-par QBs. Getting the franchise QB is usually when a team makes that big jump. I think we finally have ours in AR, but it took him 5 years and essentially accidentally falling into it. Who honestly thought Matt Ryan would be anything more than a 1 or 2 year bandaid? We’re lucky he was as terrible as he was and he gave us AR. I’m willing to start the clock over on Ballard and give him three years. If Nick Caserio can do it to the Texans in three years with extreme dysfunction and a terrible roster, we’ll see if Ballard can do it with a healthy culture and a good roster. If we don’t win the division within three years, I’m willing to admit I was wrong about Ballard.
  23. I won’t lie, I loved Parris and had him as my #3 ahead of Deebo as my #4. I expected Parris to be elite. I think injuries and Luck leaving destroyed that chance. I thought the Rock Ya-Sin pick was a reach, but oh well. No use living in the past. And although WR is the only position I seem to be good at predicting, I had Denzel Mims as my #3 in 2020, just behind CeeDee Lamb and Justin Jefferson. Sometimes you can’t trust your eyes.😂 I just hope if somehow a miracle happens and Malik Nabers drops a little, Ballard does the right thing. Heck, I wouldn’t mind at all if we trade up to get him.
