  1. Fair enough. I was considering round 1-2 as "early." I suppose it is a very subjective word to use. I apologize. I personally like Latu the most if we're going that route.
  2. I both agree and disagree with you. The Chiefs absolutely won the Super Bowl because of their defense. Having said that, I think we should go offense. 😂 I wouldn't be upset if we went corner or edge, but I'm tired of drafting guys with potential. We need to see what we have on defense, and honestly, I'm starting to doubt Ballard's ability to draft corner and edge early, so I'm just scared.
  3. I don't see Bowers as a TE. I'm not saying it's going to happen, because I don't think it will, but Bowers is a playmaker. You line him up in as many creative positions possible. He's not locked into playing as a traditional TE.
  4. If AR is healthy, I like us over Houston. CJ looked good when he was given forever to stand in the pocket and looked bad under pressure. If Gus will call up some blitzes against him, we can win. Regarding the Texans scouting department convo, 2023 alone doesn't make their group good. 2018 alone doesn't make Ballard's group good. 2012 alone didn't make Grigson's group good.
  5. I knew it was a conversation like a year ago, but I thought things got smoothed out recently. I guess not. Regardless, the Texans likely have the best WR group in the NFL now. I feel like I could have a decent season at QB with that group! 😂
  6. I leave the country and the Texans decide to do this?! If they remain healthy, they might have the best WR group in the NFL.
  7. It's terrible that both Demaryius and Vontae have already passed. Prayers for Vontae's family.
  8. I'll admit, I was 4 when Manning was drafted, so I don't remember the draft itself, but wasn't he almost universally considered to be the best QB prospect since Elway?
  9. If AR wins 2 Super Bowls, does he get a statue twice the size of Peyton's? Does the statue size continue to go up exponentially? 🤔
  10. I'll admit, I'm living off the Kool-aid right now. If AR is healthy (and gets back to form), he wins at least one MVP in his career.
  11. He held his own against Marv Jr. and JSN when Iowa played Ohio State. He also had some great run stopping plays in that game. Watch his pick-6 against Rutgers.
  12. This is how I feel as well, but I've become comfortable with staying (or trading down) and picking DE or DB.
  13. I agree. Watch his film. He keeps up with everyone he covers. He could be an elite safety or corner. He's the best run stopping DB in the draft also.
  14. I love Corley. YAC monster. The guy is tough and doesn't give up on plays.
  15. In 2020 I had Henry Ruggs as my 6th receiver on my personal draft board, and the Raiders made him the 1st WR taken, so you never know. This class is deep, so maybe teams will value other positions higher, but I'd say I'm 99% certain than Marv, Malik, and Rome are all gone by pick #10.
  16. I don't disagree that our defense has lacked elite talent, but Gus can't expect to get the Legion of Boom again. His defense is simple and depends on elite players to just dominate. Teams with worse defensive players need to throw in some interesting and complex coverages and blitz packages. If Gus doesn't change, Stroud will sit back and accurately pick us apart two weeks every single year. Texans fans are already insufferable as it is.
  17. I like the GAS rating a lot, but I'll agree that it doesn't match what my eyes see with McConkey, or what his separation numbers showed. If I had to guess, I think Ladd tends to get open with his route running and subtle body movement. He puts guys in skates, even when he isn't explosive in a route. I believe I read a few weeks ago that when compared to the college numbers of all current starting NFL WRs, Ladd's separation numbers are in the 98th percentile. That's not among current college players. That's against the numbers of starting NFL WRs when they were in college. Ladd is clearly elite at separation, but it seems GAS doesn't translate to his game. In general, I'd prefer a player with a high GAS score, but Ladd is an exception, 100%.
  18. I believe one of the PFF guys he's going to start using the GAS score heavily into his personal big board for WRs, because WRs that score well have a much higher hit rate than those who don't. Apparently Puka Nacua was around like the 98th percentile. RAS doesn't matter if the player can't get open and move with the ball in his hands.
  19. That's very likely. I'm not sure how Ballard views the value of WR at #15 if the big 3 and Bowers are gone. I've been going back and forth recently on BTJ. If the pick is WR, I would expect a trade back first.
  20. Unless TJ Tampa or Ennis Rakestraw are there, the 2nd round isn't good value for a CB. The 2nd and 3rd round are AMAZING value for WR however.
  21. You had me until the AR doubting. The kid is 21 years old, and he has more athletic ability than probably anyone in the league. Let him heal, teach him to protect himself, and from the glimpses I saw last year, he's a top 5 QB in a few years.
  22. In 2015 the Colts were considered winners of free agency. Granted there were a few good signings, but we haven't been the same since. Ever since then, I've been completely fine with not signing free agents. 😅
  23. I work for a large government agency and one day someone accidentally sent an email to the entire agency (30,000+ people). People started sending reply-all emails saying things like "You accidentally sent this to me." Then people started angrily sending reply-all emails saying "DON'T REPLY-ALL!" but they were sending reply-all emails too. It became a vicious cycle, and by the end, I had received 500 emails because of this one accidentally sent email.😅
  24. That's rough. I'm 150 miles from Indiana, but only 15 miles from St. Louis, so it's easy to get out of Illinois. 😂 When I've driven through Iowa, it feels like a safer and less populated Indiana.
