  1. I was a Bears Fan growing up, and my poor baby brother followed in my footbsteps and has been suffereing as a Bears fan for a long time. They just can't get a QB. I don't know if it was you said it, but it's true. Sid Luckman lol.
  2. Luck was a stud. Even though he retired early. We also had a good year from RIvers and some will have a coniption fit but also Wentz.
  3. Any of them were better than wouned Duck Peyton lol.
  4. Yeah, man we just were real fortunate. Most orgs have QB issues most of the time. We are just one of the hoi polloi now.
  5. Maybe man, but the Colts the season before were 9-6 after starting 1-4 through bad OLINE injuries. They were darkhorse SB contenders by some media and fans at that point. Then they were 1 overthrown reciever away from making the post after a tough start with a QB with 2 injured ankles. Point is. Frank had earned some leash as his teams were usually good offensively and competive for the post season despite revolving door QBs.
  6. Paye is very consistent. He's just not much of a pass rusher. He's a decent football player setting an edge and cleaning up the gargabe.
  7. I think it's because that is what the topic in this thread is about Chloe
  8. Thanks for those pleasentries NCF. It makes for such an edifying Colts MB experience.
  9. I do think they wanted to have a fresh rotation and dominate on the DLine like SF had been doing at the time. And personally, I think this is a good strategy. A dominant front 4 can cover up a lot of ugly on the rest of the back 8. It just hasn't worked out. We do not have a dominant front and unfortuneately, there is a lot of ugly showing behind the LOS.
  10. Absolutely on the comps. And I agree Paye is who he was in college. There are reasons why a guy with his size, unreal speed and strength go later in the draft. Good Edge Setter. Pretty good player. Not a first rounder. Stiff hips do not a pass rusher make usually. I think he is probably better playing 3T and 1T on passing downs. I always thought he'd be a good 4, 5 or 6T in an 3-4 . Dayo, I've never been impressed. Sometimes Dlinemen take a while to develop. If he doens't improve drastically by the end of the season, he pretty much looks like a bust to me. 2nd on basically a back up linemen is not a good spend. Paye is at the least a
  11. Yep me too. He had his best season in a while last year and probably would have returned something good in a trade. I don't think his play and age warrants another big money contract from us., It will be interesting to see what we do there.
  12. Yeah I don't watch much CFB and usually don't pay attention to the draft until it happens and then I look up the players we draft. I do know there were several guys here who were disappionted we didn't take Darrisaw, but Paye instead. Darrisaw is is good as it gets over there. Lot to like about Raimann, not complaining about him, but he and Darrisaw paired up would be a dream for NFL coaches and QBs alike.
  13. Ditto on film watching. My son loves FB, and we got the All 22 last year, but after about this time last year it was no fun lol. It's a big commitment. The front four has a ton of responsibility in the Bradley D. It is a D that relies on great play from the front 4. We don't get great play from this group. We get averagish play overall. Buck is good but he's not the beast every year that he needs to be in order for his pay and trade capital to match his play. I don't think he does that consistently. He's paid to be like Donald, no one is but Buck is not playing great. He's playing alright. It's hard for some people to accept or understand the point, but when you pay a guy that much under a salary cap, he needs to play more like his first beastly year rather than since then. Last years' level would be OK, but this year he's not good enough to justify the spend. I think Buckner's unspectacular play is part of the issue. He was hired to be a beast, not just a solid player.
  14. Hey we agree on something. I think Frank was a decent coach for us . And I could t agree more about BB. The genius bloom is a bit of the rose. His record pre and post Tawmy ain’t good.
  15. love that last line. He and paye look like bad picks so far to me. Paye isn’t a bad player but he doesn’t bring anything a day 2 or 3 or mid tier FA would likely yield.
  16. Dayo is a huge meh so far. Not worth the draft slot. Paye isn’t worth his slot and doesn’t appear to be more than a good edge setter. Not worth the slot. Coulda had superstar left tackle Darrisaw and many arm chair GMs here wanted that. Darrisaw and Raimann would make QBs feel all warm and fuzzy for the next decade. IMO bad picks for this org so far and largely the reason our pass d is so bad. They were drafted to get to the qb. I said when they were drafted that it would largely determine CBs fate. His fate is up to Jimmy and that dude is a live wire and unpredictable. But this D isn’t good.
  17. I agree about it being good for baseball. The only issue husker is that you’d have to either change the rule to no contact whatsoever initiated by either player or there would still be subjective difference of opinion on PI calls. You’d have to do something like this or just correct the Uber obvious miscalls. In baseball they changed several rules or called it by the letter around the time replay was implemented. They eliminated the “area” play on double play by requiring the relay man to actually touch the bag with possession of the ball. But in order to feasibly do this without going trough about a million middle infielders season they had to change the rule and require base runners to slide directly to the bag. This effectively made these scenarios objective with little to no room for interpretation. Same with swipe tags. No longer was it if the ball beat the runner but if he was actually tagged . With PI, man you couldn’t go with a no contact rule. It just wouldn’t be football and then you’d have arguments about who initiated contact like the holding Sunday. I think you can’t expect the NFL to be as exact as baseball. They have tech that can get most everything correct including balls and strikes and I wish they’d go to computer balls and strikes. But in football I think the best you can do is clear and obvious errors like soccer. My point is that on most baseball calls we have tech that will demonstrate absolute correctness or correctness of calls. I don’t think that’s possible in FB but you could correct clear and obvious errors.
  18. Despite, because of, or coincidentally? That’s to me not particularly clear. According to PFF AR is slightly ahead of GM now at 52 to 48. Minshew was quite a bit higher before the 7-8 TOs the last two weeks. But ESPN still has Minshew well ahead in QBR 61 -46. I personally think AR not playing still favors higher offensive out put overall. He is better at getting balls to receivers IMO at this point in their careers. Astoundingly, GM has committed one third of his total TOS for his career the last two weeks. That’s almost incomprehensible. me personally, I think he was great this week despite the strip sacks which were not his fault IMO.
  19. Yes I like argumentation and debate . I enjoy other people who do too. There are plenty on here that don’t get all wadded up when someone disagrees with them too. That’s why I spend time here. But I don’t make stuff up. These are my actual opinions. And my success rate on opinion having here is astounding. That’s the real issue IMo.
  20. I’ve never lied about where I live or dirt tracking or anything else on here. I doesn’t matter to me if you believe me or not (Im not allowed to type your name.) Doug and I are not the same person. I don’t know what he believes. I don’t feel like a victim. That’s a loser mentality lol. Apology accepted.
  21. Dunk said he has a hard time letting his kids win as a Dad. That wasn’t addressed to you. it was something I said to him lol.
  22. I am a natural skeptic. I can tell you this. I’ve never knowingly posted something here I didn’t think at the time. So I don’t know what you think contrarian means but I think it implies dishonesty in my book.
  23. I hope AR pans out. Definitely have mixed feelings about the kid. but one thing I feel pretty strongly about is that he won’t be very good unless he’s a LJ, JH, JA type of running QB ie. 120 to 170 carries a year. Some here want him to be a pocket QB. That’s borderline absurd to me. I have a hard time envisioning him being successful that way.
  24. We are actually a half game behind where we were last season at this point before Jimmy started Sammy E then hired his golf buddy to come coach. I do think we will win more than one more game though lol. I agree. I see 3-4 more wins. The schedule appears weak and the oline is pretty good again. Not great but perdy good. I’ve never been high on this D though. They just don’t really have it in the most important area which is pass defense, both rushing and covering.
