Good to see you posting here again, man!!!

Thank you for the kind words! I am thankful to be blessed with so much to keep me busy. :)

Family, the day job, coaching football, and my many other football hobbies are fulfilling my life more than ever.

I make an attempt to peek in here from time-to-time to take the temperature, and see what the main topics are. However, I have learned not to stay long. I have found that a lot of my good energy can quickly turn into bad energy on this board, which then ends with me contributing to the bad energy. I think it stems from most members having so much passion for the Colts and football.

This place can become a melting pot and I have come to the conclusion that it is best to distance myself from Colts boards, and use my energy on something that is actually productive.

Yes and no.  I used to use the AER for the office pool but it's not a very accurate indicator until about week 5 or 6.

Just like the Redskins have an overall AER than the Colts but the Colts just beat them.

I have the same issue with my system, which is why I use a manual override for specific teams in the first few weeks. The manual override is where I can add my objective opinion to override the statistics. After a month or so has been played then my system predictability starts to become very accurate and I remove the manual overrides.

  3. I am a big fan of Aikman's ratings too.

For what it is worth, I developed my own rating system a few years ago, and this year the Colts are scoring well in my rating system too.

My system currently simulates the Colts to finish the season with a 10-6 record.

  4. This was against a lot of players that will not make their teams 53 man roster. However, that should not take away from the effort of our offensive line in preseason week 4.

    LEFT TACKLE

    Le’Raven Clark, Indianapolis Colts – 80.2

On the field for 51 snaps of pass protection, Clark more than held his own for the Colts, surrendering just one hurry and earning a PFF grade of 86.1.

    LEFT GUARD

Mark Glowinski, Indianapolis Colts – 86.6

A former starter on the Seahawks offensive line, Glowinski was a member of the Colts unit that featured some high-level displays in their final preseason encounter. In 22 snaps of pass protection, Glowinski didn’t allow a single pressure.

    RIGHT TACKLE

Joe Haeg, Indianapolis Colts – 87.3

Another member of the Colts finds their way onto the final preseason team of the week in the shape of  Haeg. The former fifth-round pick didn’t surrender any pressure across 22 pass-blocking snaps against Cincinnati.

Thing is Turbin is the best at pass pro. If one of these young guys can prove to be efficient at that then Turbin will be dropped. If not, I think we keep him. You see who they had out there with Luck on passing situations. They weren’t gone risk Luck in game one with some rookie in protection.

Someone will have to for the first 4 weeks.

Someone has to emerge in preseason. I think Wilkins has the best chance.

Only glaring things I seen that were Bad were Hines on SP Teams but it's only 1 game and we need AC back at LT, our O.Line isn't as good without him. Many Positives = Luck looked Great and Healthy, Vinny is Vinny, we showed some signs of having a Pass Rush, we really didn't have any silly Penalties, and Wilkins looked tough.

Yeah. I would add the Thomas penalty and the bad snaps... BUT overall there were some very positive signs.

I’m not writing the kid off yet but when you use mid round picks on RBs chances are good you get your fair share of disappointments. You get what you pay for most of the time.  That said...I’m still holding out hope for him. I really want him to succeed here.

Absolutely. One game does not make a career. I have seen hall of famers have some very bad days in their first NFL game.
