  1. Let this play out..... get the facts......... We don't know the story If he is guilty....... see ya Stories dont always line up, once everything is shown the light.....
  2. Thanks for sharing this, it tells its own tale
  3. I agree with this...... This defense can work if we add some players When you run a 4-3, and you don't blitz, and no one gets home, you will give up big yards and scores (Sound familiar?) We have an excellent 3 tech, that gets the double team We have average DL after that If we had a game changer at DE, this defense improves dramatically (D. Hunter is THAT guy) Imagine the difference if we had a star DE, that the other team had to double (Do you remember the Cleveland game where one DL player caused havoc, where we had to chip them with a TE) Having to do this, removes an offensive piece and is MUCH easier to defense In the offseason, THIS offseason, I hope we put our pennies together, and get creative with the cap, and bring in ONE of these FA DEs that should be available This team needs it..... The THREE typical high cost players are QB, LT, and Stud DE TEMPORARILY ...... We have 2 of the 3 on rookie contracts. We NEED to move NOW (During the offseason) There are some excellent free safeties in the 2024 draft, that can contribute this next year. There are some excellent cornerbacks in the 2024 draft, that can contribute this next year. There are some excellent SSLBs in the 2024 draft, that can contribute this next year. I do believe that we need a speedy WR a pick in the first 2 rounds, but this team, if we want THIS defense to work, needs a stud DE, and prudent drafting of SSLB, FS, CB.
  4. I believe our best bet is to get a FA splash Defensive end
  5. Thanks for adding to the thread Some thoughts Likes Verse as an option at DE in draft. He isnt the best in sacks but the kid adds a significant number of pressures Van Pran in round 2 - I dont think we are ready to move on from Kelly yet, but Van Pran appears to be a stud Love Gray as a starting SSLB for this team. Dislikes On Burton I had to research him and found this "After Alabama’s loss to Tennessee in 2022, Burton lost his cool as Tennessee Volunteers fans rushed the field. Burton struck a female Tennessee fan as she skirted past him in celebration". This would seem to disqualify him from the Colts Overall... In my VERY humble and low value opinion, Going into the draft we needed a speedy separation WR (To open the offense), We need a playmaking CB, We need a play making FS, We need a SSLB, We need to add to the pass rush. (No order) Verse would add value at DE rotation, Gray would be an immediate starter at SSLB. The goal of the offseason is to take a 9 or 10 win team to to a 12-13 win team. We would still need WR/CB/FS Again thanks for responding..... these "What if" scenarios are fun to build
  6. At the end of the day..... who really cares what Shaq thinks today. I hope he will be successful in football and in more so in life. If you watch his last 6 games at the Colts...... The guy was hurting the team Let him be free and find what he needs to find I appreciate the fun that he added to this team....... that time is done
  7. He is a speedster that you HAVE to account for Unfortunately this team can barely afford one FA…. Rookie WRs are doing better and better….IMHO You have to resign Pittman. He will get a bit more than 20 Do you also pay another impact FA WR? This would put you over $40 for the position per year Seems too much i would rather take a swing at a rookie WR There are no for sure DEs in this draft…. We had decent play but not pro bowl play
  8. I understand what you are saying but Pittman is an excellent WR2 In Cincy …Chase gets max attention. Higgins GREATLY benefits from that attention IMHO Pittman and Higgins are similar in talent. Imagine if Pittman had someone on the other side that actually frightens defensive coaches Pittman may actually take his game up a notch if we brought in someone who could take the top off
  9. I think the team is sold on AR5 as QB1. We could save some money and not resign Minchew but he is a great back up Linebacker IS a need but I view it behind Stud DE Playmaker FS and CB
  10. Regardless of the outcome of the game yesterday, I am STILL very happy with this coach and team....... I was expecting only 4-5 wins. But I think we are all in agreement..... This team has some holes to fill in the offseason and we need health at QB position for AR5 If I look at Colts FAs, I think these amounts would bring these needed players back, some of these numbers come from an Oct. Stampede Blue article that I tweaked. Grover Stewart - $12M Michael Pittman Jr - $22M Kenny Moore - $9M Gardner Minshew - $7M Tyquan Lewis - $3M Julian Blackmon - $6M Zack Moss - $3M Rigoberto Sanchez - $3M Total — $65M -Total $ to spend is 75M We will need at least 6M to sign rookies leaving a whopping $4M "free" However....... with signing bonuses, the Colts can "Play games" (Like KC, and MOST other teams do) You can move part of the above salary levels to get the one thing this team desperately needs A TOP SHELF DE, consistent pass rusher The player that we need to bid on is D. Hunter that is on the Vikings today. This will cost us 21-23M. This can be added with "cap games" and restructuring If you think about it the most expensive players are typically the Quarterback, the Left Tackle, and a Defensive end We are in a unique position, that we are in a very favorable but TEMPORARY situation have two of the three expensive contracts on rookie contracts I think we need to move THIS offseason, and this team with the right adds, could compete next year for the Superbowl I also added the following draft (From a simulator) This yields a new shut down CB to start, (If Cooper Dejean falls I would happily take him) A "separation" blazing speed WR (With hands) to be opposite of Pittman A new LB to play SSLB spot And a playmaking FS...... MUCH needed on this team I traded back in the first, which is EXACTLY what I think CB will do Let me know your thoughts
  11. Another week another draft. Cincy offered 2nd round pick in 2025
  12. Nice Mock Emeka has been in the slot nearly 100% at OSU but, I think he is big enough to be an X or a Y Awesome and precise route tree and quickness It will be interesting to see his combine results.
  13. Who knows But..... They will have to count on the other WRs and RBs In the long run, this is good for the team.
  14. I personally love the move....... a bad apple CAN ruin the bunch in the locker room. This is a culture build move.... ... much needed
  15. I can understand the concern, but when healthy its an amazing unit, that we dont need to break up...... yet. In the draft, we should continue to build depth at the enterior, so that 2-3 years from now, we can plug the newbies in to start.
  16. Sweat moves awesome at 360 He would seem like a good Grover rotation, until Grover retires or leaves (He is 30) If Sweat moves awesome at 360, you wonder how he would do at 325. If he stays at the current weight, he may be better suited as a NT in a 3 - 4
  17. I was in on Keon Coleman, but will wait to see his 40 speed at Combine He is dropping on predraft lists One of the draft talking heads, said that Coleman was separating against single coverage only 15 % (They said that Brian Thomas was separating at a rate of 70%) The single coverage will be much better in the pros Coleman is a monster on contested catches, but we have one of those already. I really want a home run threat
  18. Oh.... My bad I didnt see any reviews on the guy, assumed he was a FS
  19. Late 2 or 3 i am sure everything changes when they go thru senior bowl draft process and testing
  20. Thats a great question on DT When Grover was out we got mowed over Some folks like the ENORMOUS DT T Vondre Sweat to the Colts I think he is a 3-4 NT vs a 4-3 DT Byron Murphy or Masaan Smith may be consideration to back up Grover, (IMHO)
  21. We may disagree a bit on Zaire, He is turning into an excellent MLB (IMHO) If we replace Zaire, that would mean that we would need to backfill 2 LB positions Speed has moved to WSLB and I think he is getting better. We are left with a SSLB spot that could be filled by a number of LBs I really like these 2 to be SSLB on this team 3. Smael Mondon – Georgia - Round 2 or 3 (Borrowed writeup) I could see Mondon have one of the best, if not the best 40 of a linebacker at the combine. At 6’3”, around 230 lbs, teams that need a linebacker to drop back in coverage will keep an eye on him. Coming from that vaunted Georgia Bulldogs defense, he not only has the size/speed to help in the back end but also the awareness to make a play on the ball when targets come his way. He may seem to be a bit undersized, and maybe not the best-run defender, but I think he has a ton of upside that could draw a team to target him on day two this year. 7. Junior Colson – Michigan - Round 3 or 4 (Borrowed Writeup) I don’t see a major deficiency in his game. Colson is solid against the run or pass. My biggest concern is that he can be overly aggressive at times. He’s got solid awareness and is coachable, so NFL teams will get that cleaned up.
  22. I feel very confident in 44 as MLB for this team, so I wouldnt want to replace him We do need a SSLB or WSLB depending on where Speed plays We need a 3rd outside LB and their are a few available in round 2 or 3
