I think he would be a great fit. He is one of those lesser known ER but he would be an outstanding addition IMO.

This newly reported interest in Baker now has me rethinking what level of player we might go after. We might stay away from the big names and go for solid mid level players. Players like Simon, Sheard, Brown, Pastzor, Worrilow, Wood, Hyde to name a few.
-
Well, that came out of nowhere. A truly solid player for the Colts who could play many positions and play them well. Don't know if the team saw this coming but that should make acquiring a G or tackle in FA a given. Now who?
-
I like the Robert Woods signing. I have always liked him and he would be a great addition to our receiving corp. His receivers coach is now with us and I would bet he is giving him high praises. I would also think about Torrey Smith now that he has been released. I wouldn't bother with Kerr, Harrison and Thornton. I also wouldn't extend Moncrief or Mewhort. I like Perry and I would also sign a Guard. Foster would be a great pick with our 1st.
-
Torrey Smith was just released by the 49'ers. At just 28 yrs. old the speedster will find suitors pretty quickly. Stuck in San Francisco with no QB just imagine what he could offer the Colts as another weapon for Luck. Worth a phone call? I think so.

Larry Warford; 4yr. $36 million day 1
-
One trade I would think about is trading our 1st to the Browns for Dan Shelton their NT and their 2nd . They would have enough #1's to trade for Garopollo. We would have two high #2's, a 3 and two 4's. Enough to move back into the 1st if we want and we also save cap space on one defensive starter allowing us to still add two or three more players in FA.

I jumped off that train there.....I don't know who that is
Zeitler or Lang
///every year we spend the fall whining about Andrew getting beat up, stomped on and slammed down
and then we don't want to pay for top linemen?
Lets do it now.
Warford is the starting RG for the Lions and a former 1st. rd. pick. Rated just below Zeitler and Lang.

And I like Zeitler even better, plus he's 3 years younger.
And I like Warford as well and he is one year younger than Zeitler.

I would take Hightower and give him the big contract. He would give our defense a much needed playmaker, difference maker and three down player. Poe would be my second choice and I am hoping we find a NT regardless.

Sounds like he is or could be a Locker Room Problem
I was thinking the same thing. A prima donna! Doesn't sound like a CB fit for our locker room.

if this "Rumor" is true I think its mostly for special teams or as a reserve
Me too. Replacement for McNary.

Oh wow. He was listed at 6'2 before the combine. I think that'll eliminate people thinking he can be a MLB in a 4-3. With that size he's easily a 3-4 Will or a 4-3 Will. It'll work for the Colts though.
I just want to know what's up with the shoulder. Apparently it caused him to flip out on a doctor.
Also the poor interviews, plural! That doesn't sound good.

Where is Forrest Lamp?

I hope not. Says he's slow and not a good defender.
I read where he was a starter before he lost his spot. I was wondering if the switched their scheme and he suddenly wasn't a good fit? They described him as a tackling machine. Sort of sounds like Freeman IMO. Four teams interested including the Pats. There must be something there with that much interest. Everyone wants speed.
-
I guess he is a free agent. PFF didn't have him listed as a notable FA but it looks like he is per Rotoworld. Did not start last year but did his first three years and was quite a tackling machine until he lost his spot last year.
-
According to a report from Jeff Howe, a Patriots beat reporter for the Boston Herald the Patriots, Lions, Eagles, and Colts have expressed interest in linebacker Paul Worrilow of the Falcons. He is not a free agent and has been in the league 4years from the University of Deleware. I don't think he's a starter but I could be wrong. Really shaking the bushes now.

With all the quality backs available in the draft the last thing this teams needs is the huge distraction he will become. No thanks.

Luck threw For 31 TD's, 13 INT's, 4,250 yards, 63.5 %, 96.4 QB rating and he missed a game. The offense is not the problem it's always been the defense.
He still takes way to many hits and sacks and pressures. Right side needs to be a priority with a solid veteran.

Just watched the RB drills at the combine. McCaffrey really looked terrific. I thought he looked better than Fournette or Cook. His agility and footwork is amazing not to mention his speed. He can cut and accelerate on a dime. Great natural receiver as Falk and Maycock pointed out. Great route runner. A definite 1st. round talent. This is going to be an interesting choice when it comes to our pick. As a side note on the OL drills in the morning. Forrest Lamp, a guard, was one of the stars. They mentioned three teams where he could land in the 1st. rd. and we were one of them at 15. An immediate plug and play player who would start day one.
-
Great find. Outstanding highlights. If he can play NT he could be a bargain upgrade.
-
I want a three down player with our 1st. pick that starts. I think those ER's that are will be gone when we pick. So I hope he doesn't reach for one and really goes BPA. I just saw a mock where Foster fell because of his injury. I would feel better if he fell to us or one of the corners or RB's. . Hopefully we grab Perry or Simon in FA.
-
What might be more interesting is who are the other RB's they are interviewing? Fournette and Cook will most likely be gone by our pick. But there is a chance he could be there and he could be best player available at that pick so they have to start their due diligence. Donta Foreman is the one I'm most interested in. Curious to see if they interview him.

That's right. A lot of cap room. Reinforces the belief we are going to make some major moves in FA and we still have Jones on the roster who could provide more cap space. If we sign a NT or DL i expect he will be released.
