I will be surprised if we take WR. Yesterday I was expecting it. Today not so much. I’m expecting center and safety.

Any WR we draft now would be a backup to Pierce and play special teams. If we are going to use the pick we should be moving up and get the best talent available regardless of position. Picks 6 and 7 won’t make the team. Move up and get someone who has a chance to.

That would be awesome. If Ballard tried hard to trade up for a WR I would think he would be aggressive in going after Aiyuk.

Mike Lombardi on the McAfee show today he thinks they would prefer to trade Deebo. He would the most expensive to acquire but he is really a rb playing wr. Reportedly they want a second and third for Deebo. Aiyuk plays the outside very effectively. Deebo is an inside receiver according to him. He thinks they will prefer to keep Aiyuk.

For sure but his cap hit is 28m. That’s a big problem for most teams at this stage. That’s why the 4th rd offers I would think. Would probably need another extension. For me Aiyuk is the perfect player for us given all the circumstances.

Yes they can. Aiyuk will play under the fifth year option this year with the 49er’s. That’s 14.2m. They can’t afford and don’t want to give him an extension this year. Next year they have Purdys extension. We don’t have to give him an extension either this year. So fitting under the cap is not a problem. Sure he wants an extension but that’s what 5th year options are for. So hopefully Ballard tries for him.

We are not paying a quarterback who cares. We can afford it.

Not really. People way over value what it would cost in these types of trades.

I also think we will be trading up somwhere during the draft tomorrow.

Now that the Jags drafted Thomas I think we are the prime team to trade for Aiyuk tomorrow. The receivers left won’t make a big impact for the Colts as a rookie this year. Trading for Aiyuk would supplant Pierce as our starter. I think we are trading for Aiyuk tomorrow.

So much for reading to much into visits.

The 1st rd is almost over. Maybe Buffalo. I don’t see a team trading next years first. I think a day two pick. We can give them Kwity or Dayo now to include a player.
