  1. I miss the days of reading my sports on a daily newspaper and weekly sports periodical. So much less sensationalism, fabrication and flat out lies back then.

I agree. The local newspaper here carries nothing but local HS stuff with little other.

I mean in the general sense of journalism. Today any turd with an internet connection, blog and a Twitter account is all of a sudden a source of sport's news? Sorry but most of the so called "sources" out there are spewing "news" that is made up or the watering down of the actual truth....

  2. Why do I think you you like this song?

Not to intrude on your musical moment with NFLfan RR7, but it's impossible not to listen to 'Oh What A Night' & shimmy your hips in your computer chair & do some serious karaoke man.

The high pitched chorus is what does it. And best of all, nobody got kicked in a certain area to hit that high note either. Yes, I went there. Sorry about that. It's who I am. It's what I do humor wise.

      Catchy tune though.

I liked the song so much that I wanted to listen to more of this band's music. I listened to their Greatest Hits album (2000) on Google Play. I like their music a lot. Thank you again for posting this. :)

Silent Lucidity is to power ballads what Silent Night is to putting a bow on Christmas. 1 of the best melodic songs ever written. It puts me in a mental, take stock trance every time I hear it.

Thank you for all your musical contributions RR7. I really respect your tastes.

"Tiny Dancer" as a song never gets old. It's probably my favorite Elton John song.

  5. RIP Pearl! You made it look like you had the basketball on a string! I was a Syracuse fan prior to your time there but you helped seal the deal! RIP!

Yeah I seen where he passed. RIP to the Pearl! The Big East back then was entertaining to watch with Syracuse, GTown, Villanova, and St Johns.

I am a UCONN and CUSE fan as I had/have family at both universities. RIP to a great player.

  6. BR549 is a friend of mine and thinks like you.  I believe some words were taken incorrectly?  The damn internet has a way of doing that.  I hope all is well with you man and I feel like some down home rock and roll is in order!

I have no problem with him at all. He just got a little fired up but I have been guilty of that myself so I have no issues past what was said.

I like this dude as an actor and thought I may share some perspective?

    https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Hardy

Check him out in "Lawless" and "The Drop" and see the range.....

He is a darn fine actor no question. I saw him most recently in "Dunkirk" as a British Royal Air Force pilot

Yeah, I also reviewed him in the movies "Lawless" & "Locke." Tom is definitely talented. He knows how to convey genuine emotions without saying a word. Rage, apprehension, dismay, & you stepped on my last nerve & must pay the piper now. LOL!

Locke is fascinating because it takes place entirely in a car stuck on the freeway in traffic as he tries to get to the hospital before his mistress gives birth. Oh by the way, he's married to someone else with kids. Details; details. Complicated is an understatement.

Tom is good at subdued performances which look minimalist on the surface, but run very deep when you watch say "Lawless" twice & see how much he cares for the prohibition prostitute in the picture. He truly loves her.

Thanks for the Range recommendation brother.

SRV is bleeping superb no matter what the man does. Why must legends die early well before the world is willing to let them go? It always bothers me. At any rate, tremendous selection RR7!

Appreciate the insights from CC1 & Lolly8 as always too.

Thanks Lolly8 for the Bonamassa live clip BTW. Jesus! He's magical when he teams up with Beth Hart on stage as well. That's a long time to hold your cell phone up. Thanks for the sacrifice so the rest of us can marvel at his musicianship.

Yeah, NC was just too much for them like they have been for everyone it seems. Monday's game should be a great one. Villanova is playing out of their minds.

  16. Anybody that loves the bands you do plus likes Hitchcock needs to be a friend of mine? Too bad i can't figure out how to do it with the new makeover?
