Here comes the Jets running on to the field. I have 1 million dollars on the game that the Jets win 22-16 in OT and Aaron Rodgers gets injured. I need to get both right to win or I lose. -

I actually don't have the game either, but I can follow it on ESPN.com. Sucks these games just aren't on the NFL Network or WTHR like the used to be every year. Only the opener is. One thing I will give the NFL Newtork credit for is, I do get Bills at Jets instead -

The Cubs got major help today. Reds, Marlins, and D Backs all lost. So the Playoff race for the last 2 spots looks like this heading into September 15th: Cubs 78-69 (5th spot) Giants 75-71 (6th spot - win .5137%) Outside looking in Reds 76-72 (.5135%) D Backs 76-72 (.5135%) Marlins 75-72 = half game back of 6th. *Cubs have a 2.5 game lead on the Reds and D Backs, 3 ahead of the Marlins. -

I think he met the Rockies. To me the Phillies, Cubs, Reds, D Backs, Marlins, and Giants are all pretty equal. I have never seen a crazy WildCard race like this ever to be honest, 6 teams to try and get in the playoffs. 3 of those teams will be sitting at home when it is said and done, 3 will make it. Regarding your Cards, they just had a bad year, I dealt with the same Bull the last 2 years. It sucks but they will bounce back being the type of organization they are. -

As of now my worried level of not making the playoffs is at a 5. Not real high but high enough. That is on a scale of 0-10. This 3 game set coming up at Arizona is huge. We need to win 2 of 3 to stop the bleeding. -

Bad game all the way around. We better get our stuff together because the other teams in this race could close in quickly. -

Yeah those 2 catches were Gold Glove material. Kid is fast too. Hopefully, we can get todays game and the set. -
I have never understood why or how anyone can give up on a player after 1 season and 1 game. Sometimes it takes that 3rd season before a player starts to become good. Reggie wasn't good until year 3 for example as you stated.

Kris Bryant beat us, go figure. Luckily nobody gained any ground except the Reds and we are still 3 games ahead of them. D Backs, Marlins, and Giants all lost. Only 16 games to go, we stand at 78-68. The finish line is near, 'just get in'. -

Adbert just got put on the 15 day IL! not good, he is our main closer. Baseball is such a daily grind; I often wonder if they should shorten the season? 130 games would still be a lot of games and just start the Playoffs at the beginning of September when the weather is still real good too. Start the season in mid-April when the weather starts to be good everywhere as well. They will never do that because of money, but oh well. -

Yeah it is hard to follow Baseball when your favorite team is out of it by the beginning of August. Mainly because it is a long-drawn sport that can be boring at times. If your team is in a Playoff race in August and September, it is along with Football the best sport to watch. Every game almost feels like a Playoff game is why, and most teams play almost play every day. Like last night's game the Cubs vs the Rockies was a huge game but if the Cubs were out of it, it would have just been another game. We have only had 2 down years since 2015 and that was in 2021 and 2022. The last 2 years I wasn't even into to it because we were out of it by August. So I know what you mean. July is the key month because if your team catches fire in July and is a threat to make the Playoffs, they won't sell at the trade deadline. Cubs did just that this season. -

We are still only 3 games behind the Brewers and it would be nice to win the Division but just getting in the Playoffs is all that matters. Once you are in, you have a 1 and 6 chance of making the WS. -

It is dwindling down now folks. Long hard-fought season and many gut-wrenching games. Baseball is a 162 game grind, it takes a rare mindset to follow it every day. It can drive you nuts. You win 3 in a row, lose 3 in a row, you win 2 games by 1 run, you lose 2 games by 1 run. It drives you insane. Here are the standings through September 10th regarding the playoff race: 1. Braves 93-49 2. Dodgers 87-55 -those 2 teams have the Bye. 3. Brewers 79-63 = leads the NL Central 4. Phillies 78-64 = (1st WC Spot) 5. Cubs 77-67 = (2nd WC Spot) 6. D Backs 75-69 (3rd WC Spot) Teams that are out looking in: Marlins 74-69 (.5 behind the D Backs) Reds 74-71 (1.5 behind the D Backs) Giants 73-70 (1.5 behind the D Backs) If someone was tell me the Cubs would be in this position before the season started, I would have laughed and taken it and ran. Teams like the Padres, Mets, and Cards were picked to do better than the Cubs and those teams are out of it. We are almost to the playoff finish line. At 77-67, only 18 games left. 'Just get in' is my motto! -
