Yes, D-Wade can get slightly overrated. Those Heat teams were average until LeBron came there, and the year after LeBron left, they lost 50+ games and didn't make the playoffs.

What I meant about the Hall of Fame thing is that; is there another player right now who is a difference maker like that, who can automatically turn a team into a playoff contender? Some will say Russell Westbrook but I disagree cause his playoff record speaks for itself. James Harden also isn't going to be remembered for clutch performances in the playoffs, and Curry and Durant both have tainted playoff histories.

A few of those Spurs players like Parker and Manu are borderline aren't they? And you got Wade. Not sure how this works though with the HOF in the NBA at times. I mean some of these guys may not be first ballot but can still get in.

Manu is one of the most underrated players in the NBA IMO. I remember watching him tear the Suns and Lakers to pieces. Tony Parker and Tim Duncan always got all the credit, but Manu has been a valuable piece to that team. Definitely a Hall of Famer.

I don't either, since if you want "Kobe" then look up videos and watch the real Kobe.

Thing is, Kobe is a player from a different era and that style of play isn't really common anymore. The triangle offense that he thrived in is OBSOLETE by today's standards. I don't think we will see a "next Kobe" any time soon.

Kyrie reminds me of Kobe at times, and you may want to kill me for saying that, but his shot selection reminds me of Kobe and he has that same tendency of going hot and cold like a young Kobe used to do. Plus, he has LeBron who can get hot and light it up too; people forget that Shaq and Kobe used to get hot at the same time and would throw down 30-40 points a piece together in games.

I don't really miss Kobe to be honest. The past 3 years were absolute torture watching that team still running the Triangle offense around him and that sad farewell tour. Lakers fans have a lot to be optimistic about; they actually have potential with this young squad (unless Magic Johnson decides to F it all up by trading them for some superstar that they don't need...cough, cough...Paul George) and Luke Walton seems like a coach with serious potential. I haven't heard a negative thing about Luke yet, the players love him and Luke seems like a more micromanaging coach with the way he's moved around D'Angelo and Ingram.

I don't want them to trade for Paul George, cause they'll end up throwing away these young guys for some superstar that they don't need. The Lakers had chemistry last year, and there were times where their young guys showed serious growth potential. They throw all that away for PG, it would be like trying to find a new Kobe I guess, that big name superstar (and this might be considered blasphemy, but I don't get where PG is seriously a big name. He's like 0-6 vs Lebron in the playoffs. That's basically all I know him as; the Pacers are "that team who took Miami to 7 games but never could get past LeBron")

I did watch Lonzo btw in the college ball tournament this year and I hate to say it but a good D can shut his aazzz down.

TRUE TRUE TRUE Lonzo looked bad in that elimination game and then his dad blamed it on the "slow white guys out there" (ironic cause Lonzo is pretty light skinned himself).

Also Lonzo's shooting mechanics are just down right weird. He focuses on his left eye so much, that when he gets in the NBA, that's going to get exposed, and plus he is SLOW. When he shoots, his shooting motion is so slow.

And LaVar Ball talks about LeBron and Curry and these guys like they suck. Lonzo is going to get lit the hell up when he plays against them, cause he don't even have good mechanics.

Lonzo isn't even the highest graded player in this draft; both Fultz and Jackson are ranked above him. If it weren't for his dad using him as a piggy bank, he wouldn't be this hyped up. But I see sites and articles that literally compare him to Magic Johnson as a passer. Magic was one of the most highest rated prospects ever, while Lonzo isn't even the highest rated player in his own draft.

      Quote

No this is good, this means he can screw himself over with the Lakers with this Kobe crap now. Lakers fans are getting hissy fits on him on Lakers Ground already due to his comments and the shoes.

Like I seen real Lakers fans go up in arms nuts over the shoes being cheap knock offs of Kobe's for 500 bucks and saying how wrong it is.

I see Lakers fans that want Jackson more, and a lot of them are very high on Fultz. The Lakers did meet with Fultz this past week. They've shown ZERO interest in Lonzo Ball so far.

This is great though. Let Lakers fans get a taste of reality cause the past several months, they've been in love with Lonzo cause it's UCLA local thing.

Saints fans are like this over LSU players being a local thing. This past year, they wanted to throw our draft to get that running back who Jacksonville selected just cause he's from LSU. So, I can understand why Lakers fans are into Lonzo cause UCLA is local.

Magic Johnson did tell the media today that if they did draft Lonzo, that his father wouldn't be a negative impact, so we still have a reason to be scared.

I feel like if the Lakers do draft this kid, they're screwed. They're going to have 5 years of dealing with LaVar Ball in the media constantly...it will be a PR nightmare, even for them.

I have to head out, will be back later tonight.

I am serious about that doctor being a conspiracy theorist. She blamed the pollen thing on chem trails. My jaw dropped. I had never seen a doctor that was a conspiracy theorist, and this was a real doctor; I seen the medical degree from Auburn University hanging up in her room. To the credit of the lobby, most people laughed their aazzes off about it.

I sure hope like hell the Spurs can beat the Warriors, but I fear the Warriors just got a lucky break cause they'll be playing an injured Leonard. This team gets so lucky I swear, they have yet to play anyone who isn't injury riddled and people are so quick to say "they're better than last year".

James Harden does NOT deserve MVP either...Apart from how bad he was in the playoffs, Harden led the league in turnovers with Westbrook ranked up there too. Seriously, I don't care about these guys with god-like stats. LeBron James is your league MVP...When you break down Westbrook's triple-double record, it isn't even all that impressive. The Thunder let him get every rebound from missed free throws to run up his rebound stats, and in most of those games, after he got 10 assists, he stopped passing the ball around. People acted like he was the second coming of Wilt Chamberlain this year over that stupid record. The record is as meaningless as when Aaron Rodgers sets those TD/INT ratio stats and then gets blown out hard in the playoffs. Stats don't matter over wins.

      Quote

r the record there is an article on this from this year with current players who are big and the HOF probability they have. You won't have to agree with them all since it's one guys opinion, but he has Lebron/Wade/Dirk as all 100% getting in.

      http://www.foxsports.com/nba/gallery/nba-basketball-hall-of-fame-tracy-mcgrady-active-players-locks-stephen-curry-russell-westbrook-lebron-james-040117

Not sure I agree with this guy though. I think Lebron and Wade are maybe the only two to get in as locks. Then Dirk.

Chris Paul as close to a lock? Is he really? Then again I think I soured on him a bit due to the Clippers being such trash.

Chris Paul should've went to the Lakers and not the Clippers...but that's on David Stern literally rewarding Sterling as an owner, since the NBA owned the Hornets/Pelicans at the time of that trade and shot it down.

Chris Paul probably would be a Hall of Famer had he ended up with the Lakers but I am of the belief, that Lakers team was doomed to fail anyway cause Dwight Howard was never going to work out with Kobe.

I don't think I will be on tonight later at all. I am wiped out tonight. Going to put my legs up and follow the game a bit. I am hoping to get to sleep early. Sometimes when I get over tired or over worked my legs can get achy and tired and sometimes feel......heavy. It's kinda just well, I guess it's life. lmao  It usually goes away though over night if I elevate them for several hours in a night.

My legs took a big beating when I was young and skating so I have to be nice to them at times.

Also a good thing to do is to massage your own legs with oil.

You sound chattier then me today, I was last night. Tonight I am all like:

      cat-nap-name-address-phone-number.png

Going to watch some Celtics tonight if I can stay awake. Curious to see if they can win on the road or not. Wizards are perfect at home this season though in the playoffs but meh.

But if this series goes to 7 it gives Lebron a few more days off.

Either way I am kinda ready to see Lebron back on the court. I feels like he leaves us for too long.:(

I am starting to get down with the idea of Jackson more now. I don't mind the Lakers getting another big guy the second year in the draft at all. Everyone is insane over guards.......but you need some beef. Honestly the Celtics could use Jackson too but they pay Al F'ing Harford 20 million dollars a year to be average a lot.

I also would love Jackson since he was on Kansas who I rooted for. Kansas didn't lose due to Jackson either, their guards got owned in their final game IMO. And still Josh Jackson made it farther in the tournament then Lonzo dumb butt Ball did.

Jackson......well he or Fultz please. PLEASE. Magic listen to us!!!!!!

Jackson and Fultz are at least normal human beings.

Old man Manu is killing it this postseason. He owned Harden. lmao  He is 39. And I can't wait until he takes a crap on the Warriors.

BTW the Spurs have some serious DEPTH. I really don't even care, I am taking them over the Warriors. Leonard is slated to play game 1 but we will see how he looks. It was a genius move to sit him yesterday when they didn't need him. They still won in a blowout with Leonard.

I see what you mean now about a Lebron style of impact. I am not sure there is another one but Lebron right now but I will have to think about it. I think several players out there can help bring a team to the playoffs, but a championship or to the finals is a whole other story in itself. Only Lebron really can make a team go to the finals but many can bring them to the playoffs. A huge difference though.

I hate Lonzo Ball now and his dumb aazz father.

This song from the 90's reminds me of them now:

      I wish I was a little bit taller wish I was A BALLER........ugh.

      Key word, "baller".

The Ball family is a cheap ripoff piece of **** crap feast from the 90's and I DO NOT WANT ANY PART OF THEM.

Yep the only reason you got Lakers fans into the Ball crap is their Cali connections and UCLA.

Spurs are gonna F the Warriors up hard. Believe it, it's coming. Lebron vs. the Spurs happens so many years it seems anyway.

And if the Warriors win then Lebron is going to make them suffer an Old Testament style death.

I am still scared. We are used to seeing Jack Nicholson on the sideline. I can't spend years watching Mr. Ball Bozo the clown. I CAN'T.

True with PG never getting far in the playoffs. But everything Indiana touches in sports turns to choke keep in mind.

But if i had a choice between PG and Lonzo Ball I will DRIVE Paul George to the Lakers complex myself and clean his house for years on end.

But, seriously I do like Kyrie. I think he is the cutest little brother type in the league.

Besides, Kyrie thinks the Earth is flat.

So they think the Earth might be flat.

And then Lebron jumped in and said "It's okay if Kyrie thinks the Earth is flat."

Not exactly sound logic, but understandable. Without Kyrie there’s no way LeBron would have been able to fulfill his destiny and bring a championship to Cleveland, so he’s probably willing to support anything that his “little brother” says -- as long as he doesn’t say, “I want to be traded.”

      lmaolmaolmaolmao

Yeah this all happened. Earlier this year. How did we miss the flat Earth thing?

Of course Lebron is thinking "Kyrie.......the Earth is not flat dumb aaaz but just keep scoring and being good and you can think whatever you want."

      Anyway I got OT.

Kobe though was bigger and stronger then Kyrie. But I see your point in playing style a bit at times actually and especially young.

Although no way Kobe thinks the Earth is flat.
