They are addicted to big star names there.

They've historically had that problem going back to the 60's and 70's. Only difference was, back then they slowly built teams at times. The Shaq and Kareem teams were moderately built. 

L.A. has been doing this though since the Miami Heat built their championship team. As much as they complain about the Chris Paul vetoed deal, they did that whole thing just one year after winning a championship. They acted like a team starving for a championship after winning back to back, as a desperate move to keep up with Miami. (That whole "Miami/LA" dream Finals match up was hyped up big time in 2010.) 

I wonder what they're saying on the Spurs forum.

Most of the fans over there are not happy whatsoever...They were in meltdown mode when the news was announced.

I thought of this too. 

But it's not all Lakers fans. From what I have seen of Lakers fans, there is a pretty vocal group of them who do NOT want Kobe anywhere near the team now that he's gone...This is Magic himself wanting to do this. Because he "understands winning".
