    Honestly, this is a lame excuse. The defense knows the offense is going to be dodgy. They need to condition themselves better. No other teams with struggling offenses have issues like we do on defense.

    I think the defense can be summed up as inconsistent.

    Agreed. My mentality this season is based more on AR developing and seeing him get better in the pros as well as identifying what talent we have on both sides. Take that and throw in some free agency signings and we’ll be set for next year.

    I think in the colts case, having your 3rd string RB as your number one option was a bigger issue. A decent number one, (not even a JT caliber back) would have made a bigger difference. Instead our starter was someone who had no business being a number 3.

    I’ve always been sympathetic to JT trying to get more money, even with holding out to an extent. Where I think he lost a lot of the fans was when he started pulling some of the shenanigans, specifically implying Saturday forced him to play injured.

    All of the first paragraph is a good point. However, he does need to play at a 100 million dollar level. Maybe he can get there. I hope he can as a fan. But I also know that if he can’t, he’s not immune to getting cut or traded.

    Agreed. His best chance for development is to not take off and develop his arm. These NFL defenses are fast and big.

    I’m glad Leonard played reasonably well. I agree that it’s his first game back and it’s gonna take some time but there was nothing to indicate he isn’t capable of playing at a high level.

    We haven’t given any player an extension. We have a new coach, a new scheme, he’s coming off of a significant injury, committed to playing then backed out. None of these should make you if your Irsay or Ballard giddy to sign him to an extension when we have waaaaaay too many gaps to fill.

    Do you think we’re contenders with this team plus Taylor? If yes, I appreciate your enthusiasm. Bit disagree. If no, then let’s see how it all plays out and not force Taylor by paying him more than he’s worth
