I’m stereotyping the game actually.

It means they’re more qualified than someone who’s never played the sport. You need people skills to manage people. Madden does not require people skills.

Players with actual experience. You’re missing the biggest piece to this: humanism. Playing a video game is passive, there’s disconnect. You don’t have to work with people and manage them because it’s all 1’s and 0’s.

I don’t think any team is actively looking for the top Madden players for ideas of roster building. Unless they by coincidence happen to have a Harvard degree in statistics…

I can see that happening if and only if the person either played football or has been around football in some capacity. Think JT O’Sullivan type of personality. I can’t see someone who’s only background is Madden just stepping in and managing millions of dollars worth of assets.

My new favorite strategy is to hold at 15 and then trade back in the 2nd round.

Williams if I had to choose. But I think the expectations are already too lofty for him and Bears fans. I’ve seen some outlandish takes on social media, including one post that claims Williams would go #1 overall over Luck, Lawrence, Burrow, and Murray if they were all drafted together. Give me Luck every single time. Highest rated prospect since Elway. And Burrow had just about the greatest senior year season of all time at LSU. Lawrence won a championship. Maybe Williams would go over Murray, but he sure as hades ain’t going over Luck, Burrow and Lawrence.

I saw somewhere that there are 10 highly graded center prospects in this draft? I wonder if Ballard would go after one of them in the mid rounds with Ryan Kelly now at the age of 30. I mean, Ryan could still play for another 4-6 years but you never know...

I agree. Generally 1st round picks are 50/50, and from there the probability gets more difficult.

Yes. I feel like we’ve agreed on this for at least a month now. It all makes too much sense for us to trade back (note: I’m not saying I agree, I’d rather hold and pick at 15). Really feels like the Colts view this draft as having about 5-8 truly elite players and then it drops off.

Michael Busch has 5 consecutive games with a home run… that has to be a Cubs record. That guy is making a huge difference this year.

Chuck is still around, Adam V still has land in the area as far as I know, Andrew still has a place, Reggie has obviously stayed. Also seems like our old players love any chance to come back for events. I mean it’s not the most stunning state in natural beauty, but there are some really nice locations if a person is willing to look for them.

Indianapolis often gets a bad rap, but it does offer a lot for those looking for a place to raise a family. Even for millionaires, the cost of living is cheaper, most of the major schools are still top notch…
