  1. Well that was an up and down day. We go from maybe it’s not that bad to Irsay saying that’s all she wrote.
  2. Plus, the Browns are to the Bengals as the Jags are to the Colts… Weird stuff always happens between those two.
  3. I’m thinking somewhere around 16-13 as the score, most likely Browns winning, but you never know. Minshew needs to work with the receivers overtime this week and get the timing down.
  4. If any of those LTs drop out of the top 5 some team is going to be very, very happy.
  5. I saw Michael in person during his IU days. Phenomenal talent and fun to watch. I’m happy to see he’s succeeding in life.
  6. Apparently Reich has had to go to weekly meetings with the owner this season… and we thought Irsay was bad with meddling…
  7. I agree. There’s a real chance one of the bottom teams right now goes 1-16 or 2-15. There’s some really bad play going on league wide.
  8. Friendly reminder: Tua was once labeled as injury prone. Bad luck happens in the NFL all the time. Jimmy G has the worst luck I’ve seen since Alex Smith.
  9. I think we had a plan and were using it. But the plan failed when Minshew suddenly was inaccurate and made the wrong reads. You could tell Steichen was trying to throw the defense out of that base form, spread out the linebackers and create pockets for Moss to take advantage of. But the Jags know Minshew better than anyone and had all week to prepare for him. On top of everything else, every time we play Jacksonville odd things just happen…
  10. For consideration: Andy Reid (1999) 5-11 Bill Belichick (1991) 6-10 Kyle Shanahan (2017) 6-10 Pete Carroll (1994) 6-10 Doug Pederson (2016) 7-9 Bill Walsh (1979) 2-14 Jimmy Johnson (1989) 1-15 Mike Shanahan (1988) 7-9
  11. I need Herbert to absolutely shred the Cowboys defense tonight so I can win my fantasy football matchup. Right now I'm ahead by 15 points. If that holds I'll miraculously be 5-1 to start the season.
  12. With some posters, there's always an "agenda" after a loss. As if there is some controversial "thing" happening in the organization that's causing the team to lose... It can never just be the fact that the other team simply beat us...
  13. The Colts didn't run the ball as much because of the Jag's gameplan... Not just because we were down early. The Jaguars defense was in base formation most of the day. They were expecting Moss and Taylor and planned accordingly to limit them. And their run defense this year has been pretty decent: They've been holding running backs to about 3.6 yards per carry. So, Shane in turn put the ball in Minshew's hands, who up until that point had been reliable and relatively safe with the ball. It was the right decision to make when facing that type of defense, the players just didn't execute. Also for reference: base defense does not mean vanilla or basic defense. There is nothing basic about Mike Caldwell's defense.
  14. Again, we're overreacting to one game. How was Ballard supposed to know that Richardson would get injured and knocked out for the season. Leading up to this past week, things were actually trending in the right direction. We were 3-2, playing competitive and Richardson was shown to actually be ahead of schedule on development. We were defeated by a superior team. I know that's hard for us to admit, but it's the fact. The Jaguars this season are superior. They have a better QB, wide receivers, LT and edge rushers. They have all 4 required elements to be a playoff team.
  15. Last year was a huge anomaly in terms of how Irsay did things. It was extremely out of character and highly unusual. Look at how Irsay has handled business from a macro level. His history speaks for itself: he's generally level headed and patient. Irsay knew this season would be more akin to a rebuild and that meant less wins. He also knows that Richardson is out and we're now starting our backup QB. I give it a 0.00% that he would just fire Shane or Ballard after a few losses. You've got to step off the ledge and let it go.
  16. Dear God… Steichen is a rookie head coach and yet we’re demanding him to instantly be Andy Reid. Frick. Reid wasn’t instantly successful either his first time. In fact, most coaches fail at the beginning. All this vomit posting is nauseating. God bless you people and your misery.
  17. Where’s your proof the Colts players don’t hold each other accountable? Dear God…
  18. My expectations were low going into the season. Just from Ballard’s choices during the offseason it seemed like we were content to just “see what happens”. I fully admit I’m sad to not see Richardson out there. Huge bummer to lose him for the year. Sucks for the entire league when starter QBs get hurt.
  19. Just like the Jets were during the Luck years.
  20. Low effort? A low effort team gets blown out against Baltimore, which had to start Minshew mind you. A low effort team completely caves against the Rams. I vehemently object to the idea this is a low effort team.
  21. Friendly reminder: It’s going to be okay. And the Jaguars are no slouch team. They have legit superstar talent.
  22. They outright killed us during our Super Bowl season. Complete blowout and embarrassment. It served as a wake up call, ticked the team off and the rest is history.
