  1. I know I should be rooting for the Steelers… but I just can’t. I’d rather watch the Jags kick the crap out of them.
  2. I don’t think the game is 100% scripted. Too many variables. But I will say this: some refs have overinflated egos and as humans have bias.

  4. It was actually right after he was hired: https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/frank-reich-i-will-call-offensive-plays-to-start-will-hand-it-off-at-some-point
  5. My bad, @Nickster I re-read your post and get your point lol… My comprehension is a bit off today, had to teach about the fallacies of feudalism and how it all works. Needless to say I’m tired…
  6. I was talking about last season my man, not ‘21.
  7. I hope for the best with Frank and Carolina. Their fans, like many others, have waited long enough to win a Super Bowl.
  8. I'm curious to see what happens. Generally, historically speaking, when a change at playcaller happens mid-season, there seems to be immediate success followed by a steady decline afterwards. You probably know me long enough to know that I like(d) Frank Reich and thought he was a decent coach. I wouldn't be surprised if Carolina wins this weekend, but in the end continues to struggle for the duration of the season longterm. And it might not even be all about Reich. The Panthers are lacking in talent. Ironically they could use Moore right about now as a security blanket for Young... I have no way of proving this, but here's my harebrained speculation: Ballard grew to be very close friends with Reich over the years, and wanted to remain patient. Perhaps he was planning to let Frank go gracefully at the end of the season. And little by little, from the tie with the Texans to whatever was witnessed in Denver... to the blowout loss against New England Jim Irsay grew frustrated enough to step in. My guess would be Irsay had a long talk with Chris to wake him up that a change was needed and things just weren't working out. The more I think about what happened last year, the more bizarre it becomes. Especially considered it seems that Ballard has been given one final chance with Steichen and Richardson to right the ship. I still think Frank should have probably waited before just jumping in to another difficult coaching situation. But... then again there's only 32 of these jobs out there...
  9. I don't get how anyone can say with any authority or certainty that any of these QBs are going to be more successful than the other as of right now... I remember when RG3 had the best rookie year ever and outshone Luck. Levis hasn't played a single snap and yet some are already crowning him and writing off Anthony Richardson? ... Dear God...
  10. I don't disagree. But I'm not sure if Ballard will do that this time around or not.
  11. It's very rare for a team to go winless for a season. The odds say the Panthers will win at some point this season. I'm banking on this weekend coming off a bye and allowing the OC to get ready to call plays.
  12. I'm glad to see him start and get a shot. I wasn't sure about him leading up to the draft, but thought he'd go in the first round. I'll say this from an evaluation standpoint in terms of AR vs. Lewis: Lewis has more experience, but his highs were consistently more in the medium range, even in his wins. Richardson has less experience, but his highs were much more impressive. The Colts saw what Richardson could become and decided that's what they needed to compete against the likes of Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Herbert, Lawrence, and Jackson. We can't settle for just okay. Either Richardson achieves his potential, or he burns out and we start over again. But that upside is what it's going to take to beat those star QBs in the playoffs for years to come.
  13. What I want is for us to win the Super Bowl. What I think will really happen is that we win some and lose some, and end up right in the 12-17 draft pick spot. There's a lot of bad QB play around the league right now. I think it's less likely we end up in the top 10 for the draft.
  14. I want to see what Richardson does next season before I get jumpy at the idea that he's injury-prone and that we should move on. And the organization has made it very clear they're doing the same thing. If by next season he's still not been able to play more than one full game, then we can start with the Sam Bradford style worrying. I'm concerned about Richardson, but I'm also hopeful if that makes sense.

  16. Can confirm: Zac Taylor indeed calls the plays for Cincy. Doesn’t matter. The Texans would have never dealt with us in a trade. They wanted their guys and got them.
  17. Yeah… I don’t think we have to worry about that scenario this year. If we were to somehow make the playoffs we’d probably play the Jags or the Steelers… and well… we know how that plays out.
  18. The final circle of hell.
  19. Still think Jones had the best spiral.
  20. To be fair, I haven’t dissed you to my recollection lol.
