I think that theory was debunked when 2 different plays should have been reviewed by the crew upstairs when at least 1 would have been a first down and the other would have been closer.
To be fair, Getting a Superbowl MVP is not a fluke. Mahomes beat the Dolphins, Bills, Ravens and 49rs to win his 3rd Superbowl MVP. Also, to get to the post season means he had good regular seasons too.
Those who think the NFL planned on making KC win didn't see the 2 plays where a review would have given them a first down on one play and maybe a first on another but it was up to an upstairs review and they were never done.
That and he waited to one of the last preseason game to have it announced. He was on the sideline laughing and enjoying himself during the game, then the fans got notified of him retiring on their phones. Booing was a logical emotional response.
I was at that game and it was perfectly reasonable for the fans to boo him. It was announced at the game that Luck was retiring. What are fans supposed to do. They didn't have the benefit of reading into all the reasons. There were many fans cheering him, it wasn't as bad as advertised.
The Cowboys are also my most hated team. I think mostly because of the coverage the media gives them and the number of fans around the country. I root against them every week. My second most hated team is the Ravens so I was happy to see them falter.
I think I will be rooting for the Chiefs but it is close. I like Brock and wouldn't mind seeing him win.
Time to start getting some food ready.
I am much stricter on HOF credentials than most. I think you need to be a top 3 at your position for a number of years in order to be considered. Eli and Rivers were not.
