I would love to hear @Superman, @NFLfan, @NewColtsFan, @w87rthoughts on this subject because I am very weary of how the NFL is being ran right now. @Jared Cisneros as well wanting your opinion.
I answered above. I get what you mean and it is very upsetting when these game-changing calls are made. That Tuck game was terrible. I was upset when the Cowboys beat the Lions in that playoff game a few years ago. (No team I dislike more than the Cowboys. Lol.) There are awful calls in many games. But I don't think they are being called deliberately. Some teams seem to be luckier when getting calls but probably all teams benefit from favorable calls at one time or other. We just don't remember those as much as we do unfavorable calls that lose games for those teams we are rooting for.

This is a thought-provoking discussion. There are times when I momentarily believe that calls are made in favor of some teams. There was a Cowboys Lions playoff games when I thought the Lions got robbed at the end of the game. I used to think that the Packers and Patriots received most of the favorable calls in the last ten years or so. Then some teams seem unlucky and seem to get bad calls (the Lions, the Jets). Having said that, I do not believe the games are rigged or are deliberately altered by the refs to favor a select number of teams or to hurt some teams. I also do not believe the refs are involved in gambling.
I believe that questionable calls made at critical times in games, especially against teams we root for elicit strong reactions and are remembered. The day I truly believe the games are rigged will be the day I will no longer follow football.

They even have a stat line for how the offense does when she’s at a game. It’s driving me crazy
I prefer not to watch. I did not realize she was that popular, but the NFL is turning away those who truly enjoy football. I would not be surprised if Swift knows little about football.

You can’t take a look at penalty calls.
I wish they would.
(I know that doing so would slow down the game.)
Did folks like it when Pass Interference calls can be reviewed?

Might be best for you to write a letter to the organization, share your credentials, and let them know your thoughts. Best of luck with that.
No, sending a letter is not necessary. The forum is here for folks to exchange thoughts, ideas and opinions. Not everyone will agree with each other. That is okay.

Everyone can post here as long as they do so in a civil manner.

As loyal Colts fans it is natural to get down and a little negative after a loss, but personally I feel much different this year after a loss than last year. There is reason for optimism.
Although hurt, Richardson’s learning curve appears to be much shorter than anyone anticipated. The Moss trade is turning out to be an absolute steal. Downs and Brent are already in position to heavily contribute. Today we had late round draft picks lined up against an all pro DE and a #1 WR - A very tall order.
‘last year I cannot count the number of games we entered the fourth quarter with large defecits. This is a much different feel this year- for me anyway.
If more fans saw it this way, they would be feeling better. I agree with you. It is great to see young guys contributing so early in their careers. It is a sign of the future.
That does not take away the feeling that this loss was stolen from them. But there are lots of positives to keep Colts fans optimistic.

The Steelers did eliminate me from the Survival Pool by beating the Rams 24-17. @VikingsFanInChennaiNext year, I will participate in multiple Survival Pools. I enjoyed it.

Why does CBS continue to think that its Football Viewership wants to see repeated cuts to Taylor Swift during Chief games.
It's annoying.

I picked the Rams to win in the Survivor Pool this week. I expressed concern that the Steelers may win. The Steelers seem to win whenever they should lose. They might win. They lead 24-17 late in the 4th.

And going into the game, that defense of the Browns had only allowed 77 points all season long. We hung half their season total on them in one game.
They held the 49ers to 17 points. Scoring 38 points on the Browns defense makes me believe that the Colts can score against most opponents.

I read this week that scoring is down throughout the league. The Colts scored a lot of points. That is a good thing to come out of this.
I'm sorry it ended in a loss. I was rooting for you all.

When you lose 3 turnovers to ticky-tack calls or flags being picked up, it's definitely on the officials - every questionable call (or non-call) benefitted the Browns and not the Colts, and the timing of some of those calls definitely changed the outcome of the game.
It sounds like there were glaring mistakes by the refs. I hate it. I may watch the replay but it sounds like it may upset me.

As I said earlier, I am not one to fault the officials or place undue blame, but today's officiating was horrendous. No words for what we witnessed.
It is good that I did not watch this game. I hate it when the officiating blunders determine the outcome of games. It seems like the Colts offense was hitting on all cylinders.
I was at the Giants game. No bad calls there. Giants won 14-7. Vikings play the 49ers tomorrow.

Worst officiating I've ever seen in a game. The league needs to investigate these refs for giving the brownies the win.
Sorry to hear that, everyone.

High scoring game there.

Still 14-7 good guys.
Minshew just fumbled on a sack - Browns ball.
Ok. Bobby Okereke is loved by Giants fans. I have not seen anything from Parris Campbell.

Thanks. What's the score? Giants just scored their first offensive TD in a while. 7-0.

You've been hanging out on the Jaguars board, I see.
I think Autocorrect is to blame. Everything else says Colts.

Stapp it.
I love Soldier Field. I have not been inside but when I drove past it several times when I visited Chicago, I loved it. I like old-style architecture. I hope to go to a game there before they tear it down.
Please put up those coverage maps if you have not already. Thank you!

I don’t think Ballard would have any interest in a deal for Surtain. And he’s very good. But Ballard has only shown interest in having one quality outside corner at a time. He drafted Rock in 2019, he signed Gilmore as a FA in 2022, and now he’s drafted Brents in 23.
Also, Ballard has never shown any interest in paying a top corner big money. Dallas just recently signed Trevor Diggs to a 5/95 deal. $19 mill per. And Surtain would want something close to that. The most Ballard has ever spent on a corner is 2/20 for Gilmore. Much less expensive and far fewer years.
I believe Ballard prefers a zone defense, in part, because you can get good play for much less money than corners who play mostly man to man.
I think Ballard’s actions for his 6 1/2 years here support this viewpoint.
You're probably right.
I am a big fan of Surtain..

Your Indianapolis Colts (3-3) return home to face the Cleveland Browns (3-2) who are coming off a surprising win against the previously undefeated 49ers. The Colts need a win to be only one game behind the Jags who won on Thursday against the Saints.
The Colts offense will start Gardner Minshew at QB and Taylor and Moss at RB. The offense will have to be prepared for a highly rated Browns defense.
Final Injury Report:
It looks like Braden Smith and Granson are out for the Colts, and Watson, who missed the last two games, will start at QB for the Browns.
What are your thoughts on the game? Are you excited? Any of you attending?
Enjoy it. Good luck.
