  1. I mean, I've been one of those who've given Ballard a longer leash than others so to speak but if we suffer because of the OL play this season then that's totally on him and he needs to be held accountable! It's been glaringly obvious to most that something needed to be done even if it was better depth and yet here we are with the season upon us and the situation no better unless the starters take a big leap forward and none of them get injured!
  2. Regardless of all the posturing and back and forth between both camps the simple fact is Taylor has virtually no leverage whatsoever. The Colts hold pretty much all the cards and could do for the next several years with him if they wish to via tag. Honestly his best bet is to get his head down and prove his point with his play this season and see where the market lies next year.......I don't begrudge anyone trying to earn more money but he played his hand and the Colts hold the better hand so deal with it.
  3. I kind of like that it's the Jags first up at home, it's a good opportunity to have a chance to set the tone for the season. A win against the division champs will give the new regime the perfect start and get the feel good factor with the fan base going early. It's so hard to predict win/loss at the moment because AR is such a wildcard as it stands but even with Minshew I think we're in a better position to win more than last year and show progress.
  4. Probably because there is very little chance the NFL has any luck selling as many tickets or even at the price they do, to an essentially meaningless game that wouldn't even have many of the starters involved. Don't get me wrong I can see the home fans argument when their team goes to Europe to play but a preseason game isn't the answer.
  5. In the same way that the Irish should call the Gaelic football league winners world champions!
  6. People should probably stop refering to the winners of the Superbowl as World Champions then......
  7. So we will know how far Levis fell after Colts went with AR........but do we think that if they'd have picked Levis, AR would have fallen as far?!
  8. Yeah I hear what your saying. Then again the Jags seem to have had good young talent for years now and never make consistent strides forward. I think Lawrence is really good but I don't think they're gonna become the Bills or Chiefs next year suddenly. I think we can still compete in the division.
  9. To be honest I don't think it's a massive leap to challenge for the division next season, Jags won it with a 9-8 and if we hadn't shot ourselves in the foot numerous times last year we'd have had several more wins.
  10. Did you Google it and see the corner from Bears in Wikipedia lol?
  11. Joey Fisher must be wondering what he's done wrong......thought he would have gone a while ago!
  12. Everything else I have read had him listed as a probable day 2 pick........
  13. Tackle first off the board today......one off the list I would have been happy the Colts would have picked.
  14. Once it came down to AR or Levis I was cool with either tbh.....both need to be worked on but AR probably has the biggest upside. Whichever of the two was picked it was going to be polarising to the forum.
  15. Who's the bigger head case?! Him or the people prepared to give him what he wants!! It's like any job negotiation, you make requests and see what you get.
  16. You have to wonder why they haven't realised him already don't you!
  17. I guess people knocking this are frustrated because of the lack of other signings. Because let's be honest, the Colts have proven in recent seasons that unreliable kickers cost games.....no one is caring about his price tag if his kick sends us into the post season.
