I believe that Peyton is done with the Colts organization.  I would guess that he'd rather not retire a Colt, or come back to the team in any capacity.  I could see him going to the Titans...a good chance to put the screws to the Colts a couple of times a year which I'm guessing he'd enjoy.  He'll be in the Ring of Honor so he'll at least come back for the ceremony.  Beyond that, he's done here and I think it's very important that people move on from him.

Thankfully his work with the children's hospital will probably never cease, that's a part of his legacy that I think he places a lot of importance on.

May I ask where is everyone getting their information about Peyton being upset with Irsay and the organzation.

  2. IMO the same issuies arised last year in not game planning for each team you play. The coaching staff looks at game film knows what the other team might be planning. Rex who loves to pressure and said what he was going to do why would our coaches. not game plan a short game of 3 to 4 yards per play to stop the rushing Buffalo bills take time of the clock. such as more pitch outs WR screens and short passes to the TE. I had hoped that was the game plan but when i watched and sat their and luck keep throwing 20 yard passing routes to ty while the ol gets it lunch handed to it and luck is on the ground, To me sounds totally insane.

  3. First preseason game and I really will not say much until the second game. Considering some of the players we saw were playing in their first game as a pro, The one that stuck out the most and looked ready to play in this paticular game had to be robinson, we will see next week when he gets some action against a first string defense,

  4. Players of the Game:

    Robinson

    Parry

    Herrera

    Silvestre

On the other hand I think Carr and Tipton did enough to work themselves or of a roster spot. Didn't see anything from them. Montori Hughes was also invisible today which was disappointing.

Totally agree hughes was a non factor considering he was projected as a rotation guy, Really needs to step it up

  5. They got zero on Brady other than him complaining about the Jets ball that were overinflated to an illegal 16 psi that Wells never followed up on or actually did but did not bother to include his interview with the game day ref.

You have answered your own question if Brady was complaining about the balls being overflated in the jets game, Well then it goes to say he was aware during the course of the season if the balls were inflated or deflated to his specification. End of conversation it started over the deflation now it comes to where he was not truthful to the league about knowing anything about it

  6. ColtSense v. Peter King : We now know what King thinks ... this is what I think ... ( it's way too early, but I'll bite)

    1. Seattle

    2. Green Bay

    3. Indianapolis

    4. Baltimore

    5. New England

    6. Denver

    7. Dallas

    8. Detroit

    9. Pittsburgh

    10. Buffalo/Miami

This is considering all teams after the Draft & FA from my point of view.

You have not been to Assembly Hall lately

  8. I enjoy the banners it just reminds me as a fan of the colts some of the accomplishments the team has brought to Indy since moving, This also allows some fans of other sports who have never been to Lucas oil to look and see what kind of season the colts had by just looking up the year on the banner.

Remember the colts did not have a good following when they came to Indy, This state was all about Basketball, I can remember buying tickets for 20 to 30 dollars and being able to bring the whole family. My mother did not even like football or understand it until I took her to a game and after that she was a Colts fan for life. This is good for the fathers and sons, Daughters and Mothers who spent time at the Hoosier Dome and then to Lucas to look at these banners and remember the year the team won the Championship or the year lost the championship or the year when records were broken. This is just a way of showing the great fans of Indy the many accomplishments.

  9. As far as I am concerned you play the best player you have to advance to the next game . You do not start changing proven players with project players or developing players in the middle of the season. If your team is winning big and the game is out of reach then you can give some reps to the developmental squad, The purpose of winning is getting yourself as a team in a good postion for seeding in the playoffs and that you are also striving for the SB

  10. Running the ball efficiently will open up the playbook with whatever personnel is on the field-12,21,22.. Sadly, in the playoffs they took a linebacker out, and added a nickel corner.

Are you talking about the Patriots in the AFCG if so then this answered the question they game planed for the 2 TE formation by the colts, And you are correct running the ball opens the playbook for all types of plays that you might have in your arsenal. But the colts need to game plan differently for each team switch it up if not the team is doomed to fail, I went to this last year when I noticed the coaches not adjusting at halftime. So the coaches go into a game with the plan and if it does not work well lets not adjust at halftime.

  11. While reading the article it came to my attention the Coaches did not alter any of the game plans during the playoffs. This sends a red flag up for me, IMO you need to game plan each team that you face differently, Some teams you can play a 2 or 3 TE formation  and play very well some teams you need to play 3 WR formation. But they need to start mixing it up if they plan on getting to the SB. I'am sorry if this seems negative and maybe bashing the coaches but a lot of teams look at the week before games to study your offense and make adjustment

  12. IMO The colts have good quality WR, Montcrief will do fine in his second season much improved due to understanding of the play book and the speed of the game. Dorsett will play more ST until he can understand the playbook and the quickness of the game. Then you got carter he is the one I want to see and how he performs on the field if he is worth all the hype that everyone is talking about. I think their will be a lot of rotations to keep them fresh for the year. But it will all come down to it can any of them read a defense

  13. 1 Why are they holding Ballard out of OTA is he still injured or are they waiting for preseason and did they hold him out of last years OTA. If he is not injured need for him to start some sort of work out on his legs to see if he can handle it.

2 If Rice had his charges dismissed how much is he asking per year and would he be a good pickup. It never hurts to have extra running backs.

3 Does Gore do most of his damage in between the tackles or outside.

4 IMO Boom will get his chance to make the roster see how he does in his 2nd Yr.

  14. The other thing that bothers me is how some reporters are implying that a 4 time SB Champion should somehow be treated more leniently than say a say an NFL QB with no shiny jewelry on his hand. Excuse me?

I might give a man of his caliber [what Brady has accomplished in this league] the benefit of the doubt initially until he refuses to turn over his phone thru his attorney's law firm. That's a H-U-G-E red flag to me.

There are no special rules for HOF QBs & then everybody else. Your lawyer is there to protect you & verify that no sensitive materials outside this investigation.

We can do this the easy way or the hard way  & if you give me [ [NFL investigators]  additional work; we will nail your behind to the wall Mr. Brady. You turn over what the league asks for & be completely forthcoming & the punishment phase will be minimal, but if you act defiant & not comply with us & the league will sting you pretty good.

I just don't like the idea of preferential treatment. I don't give a crap how many rings you have. You play ball & the whole experience is a gentle one; You play hardball & you will feel like a porcupine took advantage of you. The ball is & always was in Brady's court. He determines how he is treated & right now he's created his own nightmare as I see it.

I have to agree with coming forth and be honest, And i have stated this before if he would of come clean at the beginning of this and when he was asked and willfully admitted to the deflation of the footballs and that he had some sort of knowledge of what was going on after the AFCG and before the SB. The league would of suspended him for the SB and he was not going to let that happen, This is why their was a investigation all he is trying to do now is poke holes into the investigation and hope his fans will understand what he did and try to get as much support he can before he goes forth with the appeal.

I honestly dont care if he is innocent or guilty anymore this whole thing has gotten out of control. All everyone knows for sure something happened with the game balls.

  15. The point is that Patriots fans have been saying that the report was written in a way that left a lot of questions...yet when we had the audacity to question the lack of proof, we were lambasted for it. Now you are saying that there is nothing wrong with questioning when there is a lack of proof of something...so I said that's all we were trying to say before. It doesn't matter what the topic is or what is trying to be proved...but when there is a lack of proof of something it is only natural to question.

Patriot fans have the right to question the wells report, So the patriots fans should ban together and get the organization to work with the NFL and hand over all texts to the NFL and put this to rest once and for all.

  16. Agreed. But it sounds like you guys are trying to make a case like 'oh there go the Patriots again, defending murderers and saying it's all good!'

No way. His actions in no way reflect the uniform he happened to be wearing on Sunday.

Possibly you are right no one will ever know but was he not tied to gang activities during his time with the organization IMO not all the patriots fans backed this guy up after being charged with this crimes and then again their are some patriots still believe he is innocent anyway enough said on this man

  17. I love how people keep mentioning Aaron Hernandez as if the Patriots or their fans have ever condoned his actions. In fact, the Patriots went further than any team ever when dealing with that type of issue by letting any fans with his jersey trade it in for free. They distanced themselves immediately when they were made aware that he went crazy.

Stop trying to tie him into this.

Not trying to tie Aaron into this but you got to admit the Patriots organization was warned about his character flaws from the beginning that is why a lot of teams passed on him during the draft
