I wouldn't mind him at RT. Better sooner than later anyways, considering even if he does have growing pains it would be Reitz's normal performance anyways.

Problem is who do you put at RG? Is Bythe really a possibility there? And what is Good's injury status? We need to get a starting 5 set in stone, otherwise these "growing pains" will shrink our productivity.

I dont think Blythe is ready yet, They will insert only in a emergency like today but if correct he is the backup center and guard

  2. IMOP the colts got away with a couple of flags but I do agree when all the key pieces to the defense comes back they will be very solid. Anderson was on a snap count but was disruptive enough and he was in the back field a lot, I thought Green and Geathers was very good a little rusty but very effective, And Davis even not at 100 percent showed a difference. Colts get Jones Butler and Robinson back in a couple of weeks.

  3. Does anyone who went to training camp know how Haeg performed. he played LT in college from what i saw during preseason he was alright, Out of all the rookies left on the roster haeg is the only one that is able to step in if needed

I think that was the game plan....run the clock, limited possessions, keep it close and hopefully pull it out in the end.

Yes i do understand the running of the clock but I also understand first downs moves the chains. that is what will keep the clock moving. I just do not see him looking at the defense and taking what they give him running the ball for 2 yards when you can pass for 5 yards buy changing a play seems to keep things moving.

I have said this for over a year.

Is he a very good QB?

    Yes.

Should he be the highest paid player in the NFL?

    Not even close.

He has a lot of faults. In fact I think fundamental wise, he was a much better QB his last year at Stanford then he is now.  He has regressed and I pin much of that on the OL and coaching.

Let me ask this can he read a defense because i have notice he does not do much in audablizing at the line

  6. well here is the question is the play calling or is it luck not reading the defense and audableizing out of a play he was given. I have seen during the game many of times were he would run the ball when denver had 8 or 9 guys in the box, this has me baffled.

Can you please at least attempt to form a proper sentence. I wanted to read it, but my brain was just like...

    No.

So let me put this in prospective for you to read. Both tackles for the colts are not very good it was shown today as it was shown last week. It does no matter how good ware and miller are they should be able to hold their own. The management payed Constanzo a lot of money to protect luck and so far this season he has performed below average, If ware was not injured in the 3rd quarter the LT would of been in the backfield more then the RB due to being pushed backed As for reitz I believe he is a backup and should sit and stay as a backup. Move Good back to RT, and put in Haeg and or Clark at RG as a option. Do you understand this

  8. I for one have seen enough with both tackles from the colts they were both abused if ware was not hurt the LT would of been in the backfield more then the RB it is time for the coaches to look at better options lets look at Haeg or Clark or move good back to RT and put clark or haeg at RG .

Kinda intense to demand a player better be injured because of bad performance

Was not stating and or wishing for any player to be or even getting hurt during a game so before you put to much into comment. The statement was he had to been hurt to began with because he was a complete no show for the game he had no pressures and no tackles and correct me if iam wrong his name was called only once.

  10. Sorry IMOP I like Ferguson he missed a couple of assignments last week but over all he did a very good job if all the teams the colts face this year are going to load the box I would put Ferguson in the backfield he can catch the ball out of the back field and do some damage in the open, Frank can also come in and confuse the defense who will think this could be a run play. I believe the colts should use the RB a little more out on swing passes like they did against detroit this might help open the run game

Why does the Colts scoring seem to be such a given? I realize Luck and co. were playing well but there is absolutely no guarantee that they score. If you have the chance to score and have a play that you feel will get it done for you, you call it and then rely on your defense if it works out. In a perfect world, the Colts score with little to no time for Detroit to do anything but that's not reality. The defense is the reason why the Colts lost, not Pagano's timeout.

i am not saying scoring was a given if you read what i said this was  was 4 down territory anyway, I  was more concerned with putting a beat up defense back on the field who could not stop a runny nose with 34 seconds remaining and 3 TO. The Clock was the Colts best friend yesterday if they would of managed it right and forced detroit to use a couple of TO things of been different. Thats all iam saying

The entire point of that drive way to score. If the Colts had an opportunity to score but passed on it to say maybe do a running play or a dump off pass to milk more clock, would it have really mattered?

I do not think it was about scoring or not scoring it was about managing the clock, the colts had plenty of time to score. You me and everyone on this forum knew the colts defense was not going to stop the Detroit lions due to the nature of how the defense was playing at the time or even how they were playing all day.  It was up to colts coaches to minimize the chances of the lions to drive 40 yards and kick a FG,  To me the TO was not the problem it was allowing the lions to have 3 TO and 34 seconds left to do it in. The Colts was depending on the defense to make a stop, but did not allow ST to help by not trying to kick the ball into the next county on the kick off or by not calling its last TO to try and ice the kicker so that tells me you have no confidence in your ST to try and stop them at the 10 or the 15 but you are allowing the defense to try and stop them with 3 TO and a whole field to play with. Iam not on here to disagree with anyone but their is a time to use the TO and the time to let the clock run. No matter how you look at it this was 4 down territory for the colts the last 1.10 of the game. and I sure in heck did not want detroit to have the ball back.

Again, I'm bringing this up because it was the reasoning Pagano used. If you want to believe that Detroit having one less timeout would've made the Colts defenders able to tackle on the last drive, by all means go ahead and fight that argument.

In reality in 1.10 no one knows how many TO the lions would of used, If chuck does not call his TO and forced the lions to call a TO or if luck used his time correctly and forced the lions into another TO who really knows the point is football is a game of chess and you force the opponent to make a mistake and the lions forced the  into a mistake and it cost the colts the game
