  1. guess what ? coyer has been working on new new stuff at practice, it is working great, my guy at practice said it was working great, no first pick for us, we win big sunday, i told you ,so you guys just wouldnt believe me

    O.K., so what is it?

Either you 'hate to tell us', or you can't stop telling us something you cant' tell us about.

    It's not that I don't believe you. Perhaps, I don't believe you're guy.

Right now I don't believe anything, because I don't know what it is, so I'll believe it when I see it, and I don't know what I'm looking for....'cept DB & LB.

Besides, I doubt the game's on here in Chicago so I won't see whatever it is anyway.

So, after whatever it is happens, please come back an tell me you told me so, but this time offer details.

If the Colts win, I won't care if you lie to me. I'll be amused anyway.

  2. Joe wont be out long guys... Maybe the next 2 games thats it. He said he's not feeling any pain in his hamstring so thats a good thing. He think he will be out 1 or 2 weeks thats it! (Im the source on this) Best Friend

Well, that's good to hear, and thanks for the info.

    I hope he's back soon.

  3. I can only imagine they wouldn't be the LA Colts. So still being a Colts fan wouldn't be possible anymore. I would continue to watch the team if they left, only until Indy put another team into Lucas Oil. At the end of the day...I support the Indianapolis Colts because they play in Indy, my hometown. If they left and some other team was formed to play in Indy...I would be an Indianapolis (insert team name here) fan. Wouldn't be very fair to Indys new team if their whole fan base was in love with the LA Bart Simpsons would it? All that being said...the Colts have to play in the Luc through the 2034 season as per the contract they signed before the contruction of Lucas Oil...so the question isn't really relevent.

I was born, raised, and lived all my life in the Chicago area. I've been a Colts fan since '65.

    I'll still be there.

I didn't know about the above, but it's good to know the Colts will be in Indy pretty much the rest of my life, or the end of time, whichever comes first.

    'Cause I like Indy.

Oh, and it's a pretty easy drive from here.

  4. Maybe your memory is not as good as you think. He was project 2nd. round. What kind of hype do you get with that? You might to watch Luck play before you declare him the next Ryan Leaf. Just say'n

    Yes, but....

Tebow still gets plenty of hype. He's already proven he's a ways away from being an NFL caliber QB and the fans still want him to start.

Nobody was declaring Ryan Leaf as a Ryan Leaf until he became Ryan Leaf.

I'm not against Luck. I haven't really had much of an opportunity to see him play, but even if I did, I'm not a scout.

To me, I'd be happy if we took him, and I'd be happy if we traded the pick for numerous other picks.

I trust that when the time comes, the Colts will know more about Peyton's status, Luck's feelings, and what they could get for the pick.

Beyond that, it's all a crap shoot. There are no guarantees of anything.

  5. Boy, I'm not a staunch supporter of Caldwell, but I don't disregard him either.

I really have a difficult time understanding the whole Caldwell = puppet line in this thread coming out of that simple statement he made.

    I live in Chicago.

If someone asked Lovie if Ehrlacher was starting this weekend, you might get a similar answer.

That's the way Lovie is. That's the way Caldwell is. Dungy wasn't much different.

I just don't see the power struggle you guys do in these two somewhat different statements.

'most likely' vs. 'it's too early to say'?

    Wow, big controversy.

  6. And which do you speak for wishing those whose opinion differs from yours to cease expressing them?

You people agreeing with this topic sure do slide down a slippery slope of double standards to do so...

I agree with the OPs feelings. I never said people should stop, I just have a problem with the repetition.

I even admitted that I don't ignore them.

I feel strongly both ways, but don't necessarily agree with each.

Anyways, don't look now, but you're turning into one of us.

  7. that will soon change mate... peyton isnt getting any younger, if Pat or any LB the colts have is actually worth the money they will pay him because of peyton.

I agree with you, but I'm not sure it's for the same reason.

They will pay him because of Peyton, but because we'll be changing the make up of the team for the post Peyton days.

    That's my feeling anywho.

  8. If you don't like a topic, or the subject of a post ignore it. Now, obviously, for some, that is going beyond the simple limitations set by your brain, but trust me, the world will be a much happier place for you if you learn how to do it.

Which government & / or religious groups are you speaking of here?

Our inability to ignore what we don't like is what's made this a great country.

  9. very happy counting their $$$$ AS I SAID OUR POOR CAP MANAGEMENT DOSENT INCLUDE LBS

Personally, I don't buy the 'poor cap management' theory.

The present system just doesn't value LBs as much as other positions.

    Same with RBs.

We feel we can use them through their rookie contracts then replace them. A couple of exceptions, and a couple of mistakes, but that's pretty much the MO.

It allows us to pay other key personnel.

If 8 tackles per 3 games becomes the norm for Clint, I can't imaging Session being a great cap move for JAX.

  10. colts dont value lbs when they get good and want money they go to tenn or jax, if angerer wants more money he is gone another fa will take his place, we dont manage our cap to include lbs

You know, it's funny you mention this. I was just wondering how happy ol' Clint Session is these days.

  11. I agree with the OP.

I understand there are plenty of drama queens on this earth, and everyone has an opinion, but I just get really annoyed with the redundancy of it all. People want to complain about the same things over, and over, and over again, from different angles.

The 'realists' (/..\) will never convince the 'homers' and visa versa.

Don't get me wrong though, as often as I get annoyed, I also feel the need to interject. So, I don't ignore.

One question though: Do we have any say on what words make the 'censored' list?

If so, my vote goes for the word 'Gerrard' :)

  12. Right, now is Painter's chance.

Hopefully he surprises me and plays well.

If not, they wont wait long to give him the hook too.

    I don't know.

I haven't seen confirmation Painter is starting, but assume he is with Orlovsky's arrival,

but I don't think Painter is on a short leash as long a Collins can't go.

To me, it'll be Collins/Painter from here on out, and Orlovsky is only here as an emergency QB.

Just my opinion right now though.
