  1. Nope, not new players. how do you think defenses get better? It’s all about scheme it’s all about philosophy first. if you have a lay 7-10 yards philosophy it’s never gonna work. We have defensive backs with a good speed. Just be aggressive being passive is never gonna win us a championship again. Good offenses get you into the playoffs. Great defenses win the Super Bowl It didn’t work for Gilmore and it won’t for any other that we have. We can’t simply play so passive.
  2. But all of us disagree with the fact that, for as many years, I can remember our defensive coordinators have always played way off the ball and we always get sick about how they drape all over us and don’t give us any room to catch. That’s the coordinator that I want there is gonna be risks but if you’re gonna give up 25 to 30 points a game, let receivers go off the hook for over 100 yards every game so how risky is it to change? As Venturi said we make kingmakers out of very average quarterbacks. Look who we lost to this year. It’s sickening Cincinnati tore us up with Browning and then they got popped the next week Atlanta rain all over us in the Bears in the next week. It’s all about defense and intimidation right now we have nothing to brag about in our truly the laughingstock of the NFL and have been for a very long time with this defense
  3. What do you think Andrew retired? Not because he wanted to go skiing because he was hurt too much. He would throw himself headfirst in the tackles and that ended his career. Yes, he was reckless at times, and Richardson needs to learn from that. When he was running that touchdown and he started slowing down that’s when he got hit and that causes first concussion and play the game smart
  4. We had Gilmore last year. How was the defense? Correct horrible we have fast and quick, defensive backs just like most the league does but look how they play man on man with us and look how we just have the after you approach if you can’t see that I don’t know what to tell you and you have been watching Colts football for long
  5. here it is https://omny.fm/shows/the-ride-with-jmv-podcast/former-colts-coach-and-current-colts-radio-analyst
  6. We have quick db’s and we play 5 yards off. When do you get tired of seeing players catch passes underneath every game we play somebody look at the good teams. They get up on the line and make it hard for the receiver to get into his route. I’m sick and tired as well of being complacent to this BRADLEY has always been a very conservative coordinator. Quit blaming the players start blaming the philosophy.
  7. It’s sad on defense it’s a scheme issue and how we make opposing wide receivers hall of famers. Check out the podcast on the fan. He lights into the issues and I didn’t like Bradley before but when you see the numbers I detest Gus’s philosophy!
  8. Houston loaded the box to stop the run and we kept running into it that is where Taylor was injured. It’s the lack of play action when that happened. Bad on Shane for that.
  9. Shane was NOT expecting to give the ball back to Houston until we scored. I like the call it worked! Minshew could muster an accurate throw. End of story
  10. Great video showing his precise route running. I have to say if you watch you will see many play action plays that worked well but against Houston they kept running up the gut and we didn't even try play action except for the 2 pt conversion (Which worked)
  11. The obvious one is the Browns game. Officials once again being in the spotlight. The Atlanta game was a dumpster fire. Pittman out made a big difference but in a game we could have taken the division lead they let us all down When Minshew was average we had a chance but when he was not we had very little chance to win
  12. With Bill leaving NE Vrabel is the odds on favorite for the NE job
  13. So for the detractor on this post, this is what conversation is all about people talking about a subject without being rude to each other. Colts fans are the best.
  14. What about his love child with Robert Kraft Josh McDaniels
  15. That’s most likely but I can’t see why they get rid of Belichick probably the greatest coach of all time. They have a very low draft pack. They can get their quarterback and don’t be surprised if next year New England is vying for a playoff spot.
  16. We don’t have to close the conversation it’s something we can talk about. Goodness sakes people just wanted to delete delete conversations.
  17. As you all know, he was fired today and my first thought would be is that he was a very strong defensive coordinator with a lot of energy. Makes me wonder if Ballard is considering him. just a thought for conversation.
  18. Goodson took the brunt of it and he was very emotional. he said if it hits my hands I have to catch it and all the quarterback said was, I should’ve thrown a better ball. Not once did you bail out Goodson at all? I have played sports all my life I never let anybody else take the blame for my mistake once again for those I haven’t seen this Goodson was heading to his left 200 pounds of momentum and Gardner just threw it behind him. It’s not the rookies fault. In fact, I played safety in high school, I tripped somebody accidentally and they called the penalty on another player on my team. I went to the referee and said sir I was that tripped him accidentally. The referee told me was very mature for me to do that considering I was a junior and he was a freshman. There’s just something between men that you stand up and take the blame for what you do and help other people to avoid taking the blame I guess I’m a different generation than you guys are
  19. Do you think that Minshew has something to do with a loss to the Texans. Isn’t it something worth addressing if you’re going to bring him back or not and he shouldn’t left Goodson take all the blame for it he should’ve taken the blame himself as the veteran and spared the rookie that’s what I’m saying, that’s just being a good person
  20. At his age and those of us over 50 respiratory issues can be very dangerous. I pray he gets better
  21. It is time for full time officials that are not over 65 years old. The technology exists now to show offsides if it happens its also time to have the officials in the booth to call obvious plays back to on field referee. This is 2024 and its time to correct obvious errors Every play in the last two minutes should always be monitored IE the blatant PI call on Baker when he did not impeded Cooper. That cost us the game and people are becoming more and more disgusted with this. The Lions game looked like it was fixed by bookies. They took several minutes to decide that it was illegal touching but that player reported to the official and Goff told them to and the referee walked away from them. Trust is at an all time low
  22. I was thinking how about draft picks for Minshew or a bag of used athletic supporters
  23. What?! I wasn’t taking about Ballard i was talking about Minshew
  24. He should have taken complete responsibility for what happened on fourth and One not just saying I should’ve thrown a better ball, but it was my fault that tells me a lot about his character
  25. I like your enthusiasm, but I don’t think Ellinger is ever going to be anything worthwhile That could be true, but like I said, high school quarterback at a good school, could’ve made that throw to Goodson
