  1. Should have made that trade in a heart beat... Richardson will be a bust as hes made of glass.
  2. Devastating defeat to atlanta 😕 WE have over the Raiders .... if not... bye bye playoffs :/
  3. Coach of the year candidate for sure. I gave up on this colts team weeks ago and oh boy was I wrong about this team. I didn't thought that this team with a backup QB, a banged up roster and that much noise in the locker room, with Shaq Leonard and JT would win this many games and be on the cusp of a playoff spot and have a fair chance of winning the division. With the final 3 games and everything on the line, it pretty much win or go home in every single one of these games. First it's the falcons (6-8) away - Should be the easiest game of the 3 remaining... but def not a sure win. Then it's the Raiders (6-8) Home - The Colts have a 9-10 record vs. the Raiders, so this game will be a tough one to win, regardless of the raiders record. Last game is vs. the Texans (8-6), and depending on the record of both teams in that game, it very well could be for the division title, as the Jags looks to be in decline and Jennifer Lawrence injured. But what a job Steichen has done with this team.
  4. A bit difficult to watch Richardson when hes always injured 😕
  5. Richardson is def not head and shoulders above Levis. AR and Steichen has do figure out how he can stay on the field. I hope AR comes back and have learned from his first 4 games and this "season" but tbh... I fear we have drafted Mr. Glass 😕
  6. The AFC south will be very competitive the next decade, if CJ Stroud, Jennifer Lawrence and Anthony Richardson can stay healthy. When looking at it, the AFC South might be the division where you will find the best QB group, if looking at how many good QB´s each division have. Ranking the best QB group in each division right now.... the AFC North with Burrow and Lamar might be the best, with the NFC East second, then the AFC East at third. But if AR comes back healthy and get's going and the colts win games... the AFC South is have three very talented QB´s, which no other division looks to have right now. In my time as a colts fan which is about 25 years ago, when I started watching the NFL and fell in love with the colts and Peyton Manning, I would say that this is the first time, the AFC South has been so loaded on the QB position.
  7. Right now... the Texans look scary going forward considering how well CJ Stroud has played. B. Young might be the Ryan Leaf of this draft, while Anthony Richardson is one huge question mark 😕 I fear that the Texans have a super star in the making in CJ Stroud and right now, he's clearly the best QB in the AFC South. Jennifer Lawrence is second, and AR 3rd. But damn he looks good and with DeMeco Ryans as their coach and how well he's done it so far, the Texans are headed to a super bowl within the next 3-5 years IF they can continue to improve and strengthen their roster. Furthermore the Texans are in a great position, as they have a rookie QB and going into 2024 they have a staggering $85 million dollars in cap space, which could catapult them into a true contender for a super bowl. The Colts will have $89 million dollars in cap space in 2024, but with Ryan Grigson... sorry I mean Chris Ballard as the GM, I don't think we will spend big money in free agency and we have a ton of needs that has to be fixed if we want to challenge the texans next season.
  8. Yes it depends on which stat you look at, but if I should mention the top 15 WR´s in the league without knowing their stats, my list would like like this. Tyreek Hill, CeeDee Lamb, AJ Brown, Ja'Marr Chase, DJ Moore, Brandon Aiyuk, DeVonta Smith, Mike Evans, Stefon Diggs, Davante Adams, DK Metcalf, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Deebo Samuel, Justin Jefferson and after those 14... it´s a dog fight in my opinion, but Pittman might squeeze his name in the top 20. But those 14 above are WR´s we find on our roster... (and I know they play for other teams) but we don't have those calibers of WR´s so I would say it´s a huge need come draft time. Pierce is he a legit nr 2 WR? He´s got the talent, that we saw against Titans, but is he a legit #2 WR?
  9. None of our WR´s are top 15 in the league, so IT is a huge need. Richardson... well, no one know´s how he will do in his second Rookie season (this one don't count due to injurie)
  10. That´s two different players. Darius Leonard was the Maniac Shaq Leonard was the player formerly known as the Maniac. Sad to see him decline due to injuries, but he´s not coming back unless a team gets him on a very cheap contract with no guaranteed money.
  11. Shaq was a shadow of Darius Leonard... so I get why they cut him. It´s sad, but sometimes you have to cut your losses and Leonard just didn't contributed to the team, asn especially not after he got paid. Next man up... Go Colts
  12. I understand winning games creates a winning culture, which of course is a huge plus... but winning games against the 2-8 pats, 1-8 panthers and 3-6 titans should not be that hard. Heck.... we could easily have lost 2 of those games. Winning a game like the ones against Baltimore and Houston was huge, but imo we are miles away from having a team that can compete for anything close to a championship or even a division title. I know us colts fans have been spoiled in the last 25 years with Manning and Luck... and that we right now are a team in the middle of the league, that are too good to be really bad and too bad to be really good. Imo the status of the colts right now is a big mess. Yes we have a chance for making the Playoffs, but there are far to many question marks than there are answers. I don't know what to expect before a game and that is really confusing and frustrating. In one week we look like a team that can match the best in the league and win a game like the one against baltimore... the next we look like one of the worst in the league, where no one know how to play football... and yes, its a young team and yada yada...but I don't see a team that is just a couple of pieces away from becoming a contender.
  13. Well... The Bills and Bengals are desperate team the rest of this season, which makes them that more dangerous as every single game from now on is a must win for them. I won't count them out in any way, as they have two very talented QB´s... but they pretty much have to win out to make the playoffs. The colts can make the playoffs, but what good would that make us as we only fight for a worse draft pick
  14. I hate we traded away Darius Leonard for Shaquille Leonard Ever since things just haven't been the same And yes, I know it's just a name change he made, but in a weird way it's just two completely different players. Darius Leonard was a DOG and one of the best, IF not THE Best LB in the entire NFL. Shaquille Leonard is a poor man's version of that dude and tbh... I won't mind we traded him for some draft picks or a another player of need like a young CB.
  15. Patriots (at Frankfurt) = L = Pats will have homefield in Germany and BB just always have our number Bucs = L = Baker is just better than minshew at Titans = L = We can't win in. tennessee at Bengals = L = Joe Burrow will be MVP this year Steelers = L = They fight for a playoff spot and are overall a better team at Falcons = W = 50/50 game Raiders = L = new coach, more energi Texans = L = CJ Stroud is becoming a beast This is how I see the rest of the season for us.
  16. That escalated fast 😅 from pick #7 to #15 in 3 hours 😅
  17. To be honest, I didn't like Levis... why? I honestly can't tell why, I just didn't like him and his attitude. I think many in here fell in love with AR because of how he handled himself and the way he spoke to the media, and of course, how he performed at the combine, where he just dominated many drills. But the tape on him... well, compared to many other QB´s he didn't have much to show. Can he become a good QB... absolutely... but he needs to stay on the field. Next year we have a "Rookie" as our starting QB, as this season in my opinion don't count due to the injuries he got in what... 3 and half game!! So lets say he comes back next year and gets hurt again with another freak injury... then what? I like AR, I do, but I just don't trust him. and Levis... man he looked good in his first game.
  18. If we land a top 10 pick, which it may look like we do at the moment (currently we have the 7th pick) I hope we go EDGE og CB, as those positions are our biggest need going forward. If we end up with a top 3-5 pick, which I don't think, but if we do, I hope Ballard go all in on landing Marvin Harrison Jr by trading up, as he would just be to good of an offensive player to not at least try to get our hands on. It would cost us draft capital, but we need to get an offensive playmaker that can help AR and JT. Pittman is okay, but not great... Harrison just looks to be on another level, so again, if we have the chance to get him and it won't cost us too much of course. But theoretically it would go like this. (and please correct me if im wrong) IF Colts have #5 pick in 2024 = 1500 draft pick value 2nd round pick = 530 draft pick value 1+2 = 2030 ( that might not be enough, as Harrison likely will be a top 2-3 pick, which would cost 2200 for the #3 pick and staggering 2600 for the 2nd pick. So if we trade up for him, it would cost our #1st round pick, #2nd round and at least another 2#pick or a good player or another future draft pick, just to get to him. I know, this is all speculative. Regarding Bowers... he looks good, but is he a difference maker and that much better than what we already got at TE? Im not sure about that. And again... right now, I would rather go EDGE or CB if we end up with a top 10 pick come 2024 draft.
  19. Top 5 Ballard draft picks as GM for the Colts? Round 1, No. 6 overall: G Quenton Nelson Round 2, No. 36 overall: LB Darius Leonard Round 2, No. 41 overall: RB Jonathan Taylor I can't mention 5 players he really hit on tbh....:/
  20. https://www.tankathon.com/nfl Top 7 selection if LA Chargers win tonight at home vs the Bears
  21. Even if we drafted a generational player at WR like Marvin Harrison Jr, or a pass rusher.... I don't think it would be enough for the colts to become succesful and a true contender. Since 2000, there have been 13 different QB´s who have won a super bowl. In the next 10 years or so, I can see mahomes win 2-3 more rings/ Super Bowls, Burrow, Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, Tua and Purdy win at least one each, and then Jennifer Lawrence in Jacksonville might sneak one in as well. But I just don't see the colts getting close to one as things are right now.... but I hope im wrong.
  22. I remember a quote from Chris Ballad when Andrew Luck retired: "It's never about one player". he said... well without an NFL starting QB under center, and though Minshew is a decent QB, we just aren't a good team. When we won the super bowl against the chicago bears, they had rex grossman as their qb, and he wasn't a top 10 or 15 QB in the league, but they had a very great defence and an overall good team that were well balanced, where he just had to avoid making any big mistakes. The colts team 2023 is mediocre at best, and I wonder if this will be the last year of CB as our GM if we land another top 10 selection.
  23. Well... with Anthony Richardson´s injury which looks like season ending, and though we have a decent backup QB in Minshew.... it looks like we are heading towards another top 10 draft pick. Why so? well looking at our remaining schedule I see us going 3-8 (6-11) at best. (Yes, im not as optimistic as other colts fans in here, so sorry for that opinion) Cleveland L Saints W AT Panthers W AT Patriots L Bucks L AT Titans L AT Bengals L Steelers L AT Falcons L Raiders W Texans L A 6-11 record will put us in the ballpark of a top 7-10 draft pick, so we might get a chance to get a really great young player once again. I had us winning this game tonight and now the panthers finally got their first win against houston, they might play more relaxed next week at home 😕 Im def not saying we will lose out, but damm it looks like this season is going in the wrong direction and that we secure a top 10 selection in the draft.
  24. Im not sold on him yet, so wont make any quick judgments on him as a HC. Both Pagano and Reich started out okay, but then they got stuck and progres was no where to be seen. Steichen is a fresh breath of air, as Reich was downright awful the last two seasons. How good steichen will be depends on who´s behind center as our QB and how much help Ballard gives him. But a super bowl win... nah... im not sold in any way that he can lead us to a super bowl win with this roster, but maybe in the future if the roster is improved and AR develops and stay healthy. So maybe we are a contender in 5-6 years but not in the next 3-4 years imo.
