  1. How many times in a season can you gift a team points by committing a penalty on a fieldgoal attempt? It’s unbelievable
  2. Minshew is way off target today. Does not look comfortable at all. Throwing up and behind receivers consistently.
  3. can’t tell- looked like shoulder, could be head. EJ Speed could sure wake up anytime.
  4. It will come. But only if the backend stops scratching their butts and covers better. That was pitiful
  5. With a few little ones at home, I am Santa. I count my blessings during the Christmas season, regardless of how the Colts are doing. Reflection on the year as it comes to an end. Preparation for the new year. However- when the Colts are in the mix… I start wishing for a playoff birth. Just get in, even if by the skin of your teeth… Get in and be the chaos that no one wants to deal with.
  6. I think we win, 24-17. I believe we caught Cincinnati on the worst day possible, otherwise we would be on a heck of a win streak and possibly rolling to a division title. I like our chances of getting a good start, spreading the ball around and I think we force some turnovers on defense.
  7. if we lose tomorrow, but win the last two weeks, how would the broncos leap us if they win out? We have less conference losses.
  8. I want to see us win out, but it looks like tomorrow is the game to lose of the 3 left, if we had to choose. Much more important to win the two conference games. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
  9. I thought that after Pittman went down, it opened up a lot. We targeted tight ends some and connected on some big plays to Mo. Pittman is clearly the go-to and sometimes it feels like minshew is looking to force that, instead of letting Shane’s play design open up.
  10. I don’t put weight into gambling. I don’t care what the general public is betting on, I don’t care what the pro bettors are gambling on (even though they are probably the most reputable, even though they do miss, just better at hedging bets and profiting) and I especially don’t care what analysts think, who are seemingly wrong as much as they are right. At the end of the day, the players play and decide outcomes (except for when the refs do in a close game.)
  11. Regarding the spread of the game tomorrow. I wonder how everyone is feeling hammering the bengals -3 this game…
  12. And yet he isn’t playing is he? and yet the line moved another half point when it was announced he wasn’t playing. the speculation across the league is that the big bettors that influence the spreads have inside information on situations that would impact the game, hence the spread shifting to where they are betting. everyone on this forum was scratching their head why it would shift that much… until now even without inside information, they can hammer a bet with the understanding that even Pittman plays, he’s liable to be on a major pitch count and not effective. There is no doubt that his absence would influence bettors against the colts.
  13. That was the shift in the line, no doubt. It just moved another half point. we’ll see what Steichen and Minshew are made of. Good defense in Atlanta. Hopefully get the run game going early and utilize tight ends more. Need Pierce and Downs to play big.
  14. This. If he plays well and win the division or make the playoffs as a wild card, he is going to be rewarded for that, and it will be by the colts unless he gets an offer that they just can’t justify. If he plays like Carson Wentz and the team collapses, they could really change up things in the offseason. Regardless, they are going to put full weight behind #5 going into the offseason, and everything else is going to be based around him. Ballard hasn’t had that opportunity but once or twice with Andrew Luck early on. It has been figure the qb situation out first and then let the dominos fall, which is hard to make a good offseason plan for. FA and the draft should complement one another, and that’s hard to plan for when you are piecing the most important positions together every year. I’m excited for Richardson. I really enjoyed watching what little we got to see of him. I think his potential is sky high and that we are fortunate to have a 21 year old that is mature beyond his years, and just an overall good dude. His injury could be a bad sign, but it also could be a positive for him to study and understand what Steichen’s vision is for him. I’ve watched enough film of this offense to picture 5 and 28 in the backfield together and how it would alter defenses, when they are already getting beat up and torched at times this season with backups out there.
