What is the cap hit if we release ebron after season?
Who cares?

Might help. What position does he play? We need lots of them tonight.
He's a multi-purpose player... Jack of all trades, practically walks on water.

We should have listened to Detroit fans... I am ready for Ballard to cut our loss on Ebron and move on in the offseason. What a joke.

I want to see us fight. I want to see us get pressure on Brady and get him uncomfortable where he plays his worst... I want to see our offense under Frank play chess straight up against Bellichick instead of our usual checkers... We need points tonight. I don't mind losing this one. But I want to see us fight.

It's aggressive, they need a win, so I am not upset with it. If the team was 2-1 or 3-0, that would be a different story.
Absolutely. But we arent. We needed to win. We had the defense gassed and on their heels. We needed a better play call.

You guys wear me out.
Content with playing for a tie? When a tie doesn't get us to the playoffs? Get out of here. I love it. Play to win or don't play at all. Pagano would have punted the hell out of the ball and smiled. We played to win. Get over it.

Or Deon Cain!
Deon Cain would be our starting #2 right now.
Dorsett looks good in NE. His speed would have been good in this scheme.

Besides being a fan, what about this offense makes you think we can score and win this game
Im a fan.
But i also saw a proper drive to open the game today, have seen Frank Reich make proper adjustments this year, and have seen Andrew Luck down two scores plenty of times to know that they can win this game.

Don't get upset at this... but this team could really use Phillip Dorsett right now.

The Jets don't have their second rounder because the Colts OWN the Jets 2nd rounder.
It's part of the trade back we made with the Jets in April. Remember our trade back from 3 to 6. We got three 2nd round picks. The Jets 2019 2nd rounder is the last part of the payoff.
All part of Ballard's master plan. Send them Jets 2nd round pick.
With the 3rd pick of the 2018 NFL draft, the Indianapolis Colts select:
Quenton Nelson
Braden Smith
Kemoko Turay
LEVEON BELL.
Genius.

FUN.
Im ecstatic with this defense... which will only get better.
I'm hopeful for our offense, because I think Andrew will get stronger and better over the course of the year, we will get a healthy o-line unit, and Mack back at some point. And because Frank will continue ironing out details in the gameplanning, adjustments, etc.
-
I don't see us making a move until Turbin is back and Mack is more healthy and we can evaluate our run game going forward more effectively.

I would say if anything the defense has given the Colts a chance to be 3-0
And i would agree that the defense has played exceptional.
But this offense is hurt, and they have taken some dang good defenses out of their disruptive game, which has limited big mistakes that can wreck even the best defensive performance.
The offense has been less than ideal, but it is what is right now. When you are without your franchise left tackle, starting runningback, and now your key starting tight end, it's going to be limited. Luck is rusty still. But the short game that Reich is employing works moving the sticks and extending drives which helps the defense... it didn't happen today.

You think the redskins and bengals are some of the best teams on our schedule?
Absolutely. Patriots and Jaguars round out the top 5.
Power rankings agree with me as well...
Redskins just whipped the Packers, so they will be back up ahead of the rest of the schedule.
Titans might move up after today, but it will move the Jags back more than the titans up.

And after the Redskins game, some thought we could win the Division. Now its a dumpster fire. We look like a 6 win team. It'll get better eventually.
6 wins is harsh, when we played three of the best teams we are going to see this season. There is a lot of winnable games on schedule, and after today, i have great faith that we will compete in ALL of them.

Oh you mean the one that still hit him in the hands and then the breadbasket?!? Hell, dude dropped a pass in a wide open field. Funny thing is that's their darn job.....to catch the passes. Hard ones, easy ones, whatever ones they can. Not just the perfectly thrown, perfectly timed ones.
$7 million job...

Dink and dunk keeps Luck safe. How many times was he sacked? This oline and Philly's dline was not a good combo for Luck to throw long.
As far as accuracy. He never has been the most accurate thrower on crossing routes. A dink and dunk O requires YAC, which requires the QB to hit the receiver in stride...not behind him, or on his hip, or over his head.
thank you.
BACKUP TACKLES! Read it folks. We have played 3 top tier defensive lines to start the season. We cannot throw the deep ball much without exposing Luck. The dink and dunk game has given us a chance to be 3-0 right now. That is enough.

I blame Reich's playcalling over Luck's performance.
The 4th down on the 5 at the end was an awful playcall and horrible on Luck's part to take a sack.
Let them take the ball at the 5 and punt out of their endzone. Gives you much better odds of having a couple shots at the endzone at the end. Roll him out and make sure a throw gets off. Something other than allowing a blindside shot.

He wasn't very accurate today. A lot of missed opportunities. Too many dumb penalties. A lot of positives on defense though
He also had a few drops in the endzone which is unacceptable. The difference in the game. We let this game slip away for sure.

No.....
This is the new Colts offense. No more deep passes, get used to it.
Also it’s well known Brissett has a huge arm. Explains why they brought him in for the last play.
I dont think we should get used to it, as it isn't the new colts offense. It's the new colts offense while we are playing with backup tackles. Period. We moved the ball well at the end when we were putting pressure on the backend of the defense and stretching the field. There will be a time this year where that is reality. It just isn't right now, and for good reason.

Solid evidence Luck's arm isn't right. Dink & dunk when you have to get it into the endzone and then bring in the backup for a long throw.
Sad!
I saw solid evidence on the second to last drive that says otherwise. Luck can put the ball down the field like he needs to.
The last play was actually brilliant. Brissett has a cannon. They didnt feel that it was in Luck-s best interest to throw a 70 plus yard bomb. Thank God we have the coaching staff to think that. It was the right move.
