  1. What's his status? It's been so long ago, I can't remember what his last injury was. Was it concussion related? Didn't we lose someone to something that was going to be long on recovery (potentially beyond the start of the new season)? I suppose that could apply to anyone, but I thought it was Collie.

  2. Strength of schedule at the beginning of the season is always different than how it turns out at the end of the season.

Pats' strength of schedule is barely above that of the Broncos though based on 2011 playoffs and season, Broncos' was much higher when the season started.

I don't know what happened to the format of my post. It wasn't supposed to look like that.

  3. Yea, Broncos have had an easy road to the playoffs. They do have an all around complete team though, so they're a scary team regardless of who they played in the regular season. That cupcake schedule though is surely the reason they're the #1 seed, in front of the Pats who beat them already this year, but now will have to travel to Denver for a potential rematch.

According the ESPN, their schedule was more difficult than Houston, Atlanta and New England...

2012 NFL Strength of Schedule By Team

A look at the most difficult schedules in 2012 (based on opponents' 2011 record).

Keep in mind they have lost ONLY the 3 games and to Super Bowl contenders and at the beginning of the season. I think they can beat any team in the NFL right now. Although I don't put much stock in odds, but they are favored to win the Super Bowl as far as Vegas is concerned.

  5. Well I know I'm not imagining it, ESPN just did it again. They put something else in there and keep pushing the topics up I'm waiting on. That's very annoying. What's the sense in saying what's coming up if they keep adding things before?

  6. Has anyone else noticed how ESPN sometimes changes the upcoming topics? I'm watching ESPN waiting for highlights, etc. I could rewind my TV, but I'm almost sure they have put additional upcoming topics in before what I was waiting to see.

  7. If the player is the reason you started following the team, it's hard to overlook it when he is no longer there. You might say that those of us who feel that way were never fans of the team. You are probably right. I have been following the Giants for 28 years now. I won't abandon them, but I love Eli. If he left, I'd still root for him and the Giants. Don't feel that connection to the Colts, so it's easy to follow te player.

Agree 100%. I'm still a fan of the Colts, but I will not abandon my love of watching Peyton play. I have lots of family in different states with their own NFL teams. They all enjoyed watching the Colts play ONLY because of Peyton. I started watching the Colts before Peyton arrived and enjoyed watching that much more when he started. You can be a fan of both. Don't know why that's "dirty".

  8. I've been there. I saw that thread and it made me sad because it reminded me where was I when we LOST Peyton. To see everyone over there so happy to get Peyton does make me happy about it. I also saw you have an account lol.

I felt the same way (remembered where I was when Peyton did the news conference), but began to smile as I saw all the happy Broncos fans. I don't want to start a Peyton or Colts argument again, but there's nothing wrong with being a fan of both. I'll be pulling for the Colts and Peyton. I'm not sure how anyone that loved Peyton before can't still want to follow him and wish him well. He's a GREAT player and person. He deserves nothing less than well wishes.

And for anyone that hasn't yet been to the Broncos forum, you should drop in a read a little, I promise you will smile and get goose bumbs for the things they say about Peyton.

  9. How cool is that??? Reading their comments do make me smile...talking about giving him a key to the city and everything. I hope they stay loyal to him even if things are rough starting out for him (I don't expect rocky for him, but there is a slight chance it might be). I do have to admit, part of me wants to go "He's ours! He's a Colt! He's just making a short stop with you until he retires to come back to Indy!" But alas, I will not...part of me still doesn't want to share him...lol, I know I know...I still think it's the best move all the way around for both teams.

    Me too...

  10. If you really want to see something, go to the draft/free agent section and scroll back a bit to see a thread that is now locked. It started the day the Colts announced they would release Manning by someone hoping the Broncos would get him. By the time they got him less than 2 weeks later, the thread had over 21,000 replies and something like 1425 pages.

    HOLY SMOKES...THAT'S CRAZY!

  11. I laughed that a Manning vs. Brady thread popped up over there the day Peyton signed. Manning is winning :)

    Just don't:

    1) insult Tebow - older members can do that, but not newbies

    2) insult John Elway - no one gets away with that.

    I saw that too...and you're right...Peyton is winning. :)

  12. I'm there with the same screen name as here. Just saw your post 18Manning.

There's still a lot people in mourning about Tebow, but most wanted him to stay behind Manning. Very few aren't excited.

Much easier to remember if you (at least me) don't make up a new name.

  13. I have no desire to go to the Broncos Forum, and pretend to be a Broncos Fan. I am not a Broncos Fan, I am and always will be a Peyton Manning fan, and will follow his career, but it's all I can do to keep up with this forum haha

As I am and will be. You don't have to be a Broncos fan to see the nice things they're saying about Peyton. You truly are missing some comments that will make you proud.

  14. I don't envision the Colts not selling out as long as Luck is healthy and playing. Many might want NFL ticket to follow Broncos though

I had not considered the possibility of our games being blacked out. Hopefully we won't have to worry abot that. I would like to follow Peyton is why I was asking.

  15. I live in northern Indiana and while it wasn't a blackout, the local South Bend stations chose teams other than the Colts so I'm looking into another way to see the games.

I just looked at the direct TV page and they have PM in his Colts jersey at the top of the page......time for an update.

Saw that too. Wonder how his contract works with Directv? I'm sure they'll want to still use Peyton just change his jersey.
