  1. Do you see patterns in the draft???

How many 1st round draft picks are starters???

What has our record been since last SB appearance?? A steady/SHARP decline, also a plottable PATTERN...

How many 1st round picks in the NFL turn into busts? I am guessing a decent number. What has been the average drafting position of the Colts for the past 10 seasons? I am guessing 25th or later? How many of those picks by NFL teams have panned out?

Our record since the SB appearance is 10 wins 19 losses and during those 29 games how many were with our No. 1 offense all on teh field at the same time?

  2. Name 5 things you actually do understand because the Colts and NFL football certainly aren't on the list..

I know that the Pats D isn't that good and was showed up again this past weekend by almost giving away a game to the Skins.

I know that there is not 1 fan on this forum with the knowledge anywhere near what those who are working for the Colts have.

I know that the world is not coming to an end if the Colts go 0-16

I know that Colt fans for a good portion are spoiled

I know that no matter how many fans scream for Bill Polian to be fired, he isn't going anywhere.

  3. Believe me, the Ravens are by no means an offensive powerhouse this year. I remember on Monday Night Football a few weeks back Jacksonville completely had their way with them and shut them down in unbelievable fashion. The Titans and Seahawks did the same thing! Tell me how against the Colts, this same offense looked like a well-oiled machine?

Polian is making me sick with this crap. He has to be the most stubborn GM of all-time. Good thing for him Irsay has no balls. His defensive philosophy is ancient, his once stellar drafting has been an absoloute bust over the past 5 years, and what makes matters worse, he REFUSES to adapt any new stategies to a scheme that has been obselete for years now. He focuses all his top picks on offensive players (that have accomplished little to nothing without Manning) and he only drafts players defensively that fit this same ancient obselete tampa two cover scheme. It worked for Tampa because they had Sapp, Brooks, Barber and Lynch - one of the best defenses ever! We have nowhere near the talent they had in any aspect of our defense.

Baltimore is two different teams. Those games you list were all road games, one was a west coast trip where most east coast teams struggle. Look at how the Ravens play at home....

  4. I don't pay attention to the show, but maybe Bill Polian is just trolling all of his critics out there. I don't believe that he thinks some of the things he says are true.

We have a winner. Exactly he is saying stuff just to throw stuff out there and tick off people. That is how you do it...and with some colt fans it seems to be working.... :D

  5. It was clear the Patriots looked at it from a defensive perspective as a form of a preseason game, playing new players, trying new things. Heck, that is what a good coach would do when he plays an over-matched an opponent. work on weaknesses and experiment. Irsay needs to clean house with Polian Caldwell and Clyde Christensen and then let new coach evaluate whether or not any of the other coaches deserve to retain their jobs....

So NE continued to play like it was Pre Season this past weekend vs the Skins as those same "new players" were in there vs. the Skins for the entire game.....

  6. You know, while watching the second half, I kinda felt like Bmore was just toying with our defense. It just seemed like they knew we were so inept offensively that they could do whatever they wanted. They really didn't try very many short easy completions in the second half. Those quick slants kill us, and offenses know they can slant us down the field whenever they need to. Bmore seemed to me like they were just testing out a different game plan.

So both NE and Baltimore felt sorry for our Defense and just stopped playing? Well thank you NE and Baltimore...

  7. heard him say it on his show. that in the second half we went toe to toe and actually out played the ravens. He added that he was impressed by the way our young guys are catching on to the defensive scheme. I ALMOST CRIED HEARING WHAT HE HAD TO SAY. A guy did get loose blaming BP for our problems asking a few hard questions, to which none were addressed. Got the the vibe coach dip chiz will be back, what a joke. anybody else get anything different out of the hour of power?

Bill has a show? Who knew?

Why do you listen if it's going to upset you so. Nothing Bill says on this show matters, it's all GM speak. Relax take a deep breath and relize it's just one season, lets see what happens in the offseason with Peyton and those draft picks.... it's not the end of the world, it's just one season.

  8. This idea that you can go from one of the best teams in the league to dead last in three seasons, and not hold someone accountable is laughable...

Zero pattern of bad choices??? Look at drafts since '06.. look at the teams win-loss record since Caldwell took over the team...

    there are patterns present...

Since 06 the Colts I believe have 2 SB appearances, 5 division titles and something like 55+ wins over 6 years. They made the playoffs in every one but the present season. How many other teams in the NFL can match that? Maybe 1?

  9. He's not losing them games, that is for sure...

You are correct, but "HE" is not the reason they are winning. Playing an easy schedule and having a in your face defense is why they are where they are. Look at this past game, they didn't win that game, the Bears gave it to them.

If the Broncos were so sold on Teabow then why are both John's still not comitted to him for next season?

  10. It's great that you're proud.

It's great that Irsay is classy.

Personally, I'm extremely disappointed he wasn't gone halfway through the season. I'd rather Irsay bring the hammer down and get to work fixing his team NOW rather than after the season ends.

this team can't be "fixed" until we know exactly what the future is with Peyton Manning. Until we have that information, no other issues matter.

  11. I appreciate class as much as anything, but I have to agree with this. The early bird gets the worm, you can show class in other ways, get rid of Caldwell now and try in order to be able to court the replacement of your choice. Don't wait until the best candidates have been taken.

The problem is that the "best" candidates wouldn't be hired no matter what. I am guessing you consider the best candidates as being like Bill Cower, Jon Gruden, Jeff Fisher and such. Those style of coaches will never be hired by Bill Polian, so with the Colts waiting till after the season won't matter.

  12. Yes the key point is they sold out a long time ago but i doubt that is for next season and i dont think they will be sold out for next season, thats true fans care about winning but it wont take a scientist that whatever happens in the offseason it will have an effect on how much money the colts make in the upcoming season which is what i said about calwell staying on with most of his coaching staff or little changes.. that will have an impact on how much the colts make so i think they will lose money.

The Colts can return the entire staff and it won't matter one bit if Peyton is back and playing at 100%. Winning is all that matters and we have seen that with Peyton behind center this team wins, and that is all that matters.

  13. Nobody is saying he went from smart to dumb in one season!!!!

He has been in a downward spiral for a while now. People have been talking about how soft the defense is for the past 5 years. Even the 14-0 start we had two years ago, our defense was pretty friggin' soft. Remember that Miami game??? 45 minutes to our 15 in the time of possession battle. Good defenses don't stay on the field for 45 minutes!!!

    Your defense is laughable.

Colts defense is soft because the Colts are built to out score you. I don't know the numbers off hand but I am willig to bet that the higher % of salary is on the offensive side of the ball. Then you add in what we were spending on Dwight, Bob and you will see why the defense was what it was. When you invest so highly in your offense then your defense is going to suffer.

  14. How do you know they can't play that style, it hasn't even been tried?!?!?!?! As a coach you have to make adjustments when something isn't working. It is not hard to knock somebody off their route. You mess it up for one second and they have to readjust. It's Football 101. Our DEs are good enough to make plays if we don't allow the QB to play backyard catch with his receivers.

You and others don't believe they have thought or tried in practice to change things up, I don't know what they have done. Since the Colts coaches know so much more then any Joe Fan here does, I am willing to go with them over Joe Fan in knowing what the Colt players can or can't do. The Colts coaches may not be the best, or that good, but they still have more knowledge and ability then anyone on this forum.

  15. Stop vacating the underneath zones. Stop playing eight yards off. Let your corners engage the receiver as they get into their routes, and redirect them just a little.

That's it. That's all I want the defense to do differently at this point. I'm not asking for aggressive blitzes, or bump and run coverage. Just make those two or three adjustments, and see what happens.

And when said defenders get blown away because they can't play that style you will wine and complain.....Our defense is what it is this year, you can't change them to play a style they are not able to play.

  16. 1. Jim Caldwell or BP is gone

    2. Peytons contract is reworked

    3. Colts trade down in the draft with the Browns

    4. Colts draft Robert Griffin III

    5. Cots draft Devon Still DT with 24th pick in first round from browns... or Dre Kirkpatrick- Corner

Those moves arent too far from possiblity and they would set the colts on the right track to becoming a real contender in the now and the future. With Caldwell gone the colts can bring in a much better Coach who has a set plan and who is able to manage and adjust on the fly during games... with BP gone... well anythings possible.

I don't see RGIII as an NFL QB, he might do okay, but I just don't think his game (see Andre Ware) is suited for the NFL game....

  17. And 0-13 disproves your point.

At one point did they know what was best? Yes it would appear they did.

Do they still know whats best? Not really looking like it.

It's 1 season. There is ZERO pattern of bad choices, it's one season. It's called over reacting fans. This idea that you can go from smart to dumb in 1 season is laughable...

  18. And so are you. By your logic on this and other topics we know nothing and therefore cannot have an opinion. I suppose maybe you are just an argent skeptic (like the school of philosophy), but your logic negates all your points because you are just as unaware as us. Maybe instead of arguing that we cannot argue that the Colts should change because we are ignorant of the situation, you should argue why we should not change...I'm not sure what you really think other than we have no idea what is really going on.

I agree I have no idea what goes on during practice, player, and coaching meetings. What I do have an idea about is the product that is being put on the field. If the coaches have determined that the schemes we are currently running are the only option because they best fit with the talent on the team, then that is a serious indictment of the FO's and staff's ability to evaluate talent and should result in their immediate dismissal. We are a joke of a team this year and will go down as one of the worst in NFL history. I refuse to believe that the players are that untalented but maybe I'm just an optimist.

Yes the FO made some bad decisions and it is impacting us this season no question. Same thing is happening in Chicago now, in Miami, KC and other NFL cities. No FO is perfect. However what you have to look at is the overall performance of the FO during their tenure. You also have to look at the Colts in that the entire franchise was built around HOW the offense played and with Peyton operating it. Now you can argue it was a bad way to build a team, but you can't argue with the results. So now with Peyton down we suffer....

  19. Good Point Superman, I think they had enough time to sleep on it after that Saint mismatch game. Have a feeling it will same old song next season with the Polians, Caldwell, and assitant coaches. Remeber the Colts stand for blandness and no change.

If that gets you the type of seasons we had over the past 10+, bring on more blandness and no change....

  20. Mate 25bucks is super cheap lol... this season cannot even compare to the 3-13 season the colts had and there are more glaring holes that cant be patched up by peyton going 11-5... unless they win the superbowl, there are problems and it will be mended in some way, if its not then the colts WILL lose money.

I guess to someone who makes good money it is. For $25 I can go to 3 Indianapolis Indian's games.....

  21. Of course not. He has his team atop his division and is going to make the playoffs. And if you don't think the offense has changed to fit Tebow's style, you are sorely mistaken. You think they were running option plays when Orton was QB? Geez man, we get it, you love Caldwell and want him back next year. Quit making yourself look dumb by posing asinine hypotheticals.

It has nothing to do with if I think Caldwell back or not. It's this idea that "Joe Fan" has the slighest clue on the day to day operations of an NFL team. We DON'T and never will. Bill Polian and Jim Irsay have that knowledge and background and track record that shows they will do what is best and we as fans need to just accept that.

  22. Of course not. He has his team atop his division and is going to make the playoffs. And if you don't think the offense has changed to fit Tebow's style, you are sorely mistaken. Yea they changed their offense to fit Teabow...and OMG it's horrible. their offense is hike Teabow the ball and get open or get out of his way. How did that work against a good team like Detroit? Heck if the Bears had an offense they would have blown Denver out. So sure they changed, but their offense didn't get better.
