Looking Forward To The Day That "Luck" Runs Out For The Colts!:)

.....And with the first pick of the 2012 Draft, the Indianapolis Colts choose Andrew Luck! Luck ..Luck... Luck..... (echo trail off) I cannot wait to hear those words uttered and then for the day the Andrew Luck actually runs out for the first game and takes his position behind the center for the Colts.

Oh, pardon me I apologize for my provocative title to mislead you into thinking that I wish bad luck on our team. I would never wish that or want it. I just wanted you to stop and read the blog. Maybe, It was over the top but you must really get to know me better since this is my first blog on this site. I know we have not been formally introduced so let me get that out of the way by telling you a little about myself briefly and then back to the blog title.

My name is Jaggededge. I am a Colts fan, memorabilia collector and occasional blogger. I am a transfer from the Direct Colts site and am thrilled to be here with the rest of you fans and look forward to reading your blogs, comments and looking over your videos and photos here on Colts.com. Okay, now back to my blog.

Luck will be a part of the "Newly built Monster," that is being currently put into place. What is even more strange is the guy holding the clipboard and QB position behind him may be our old nemesis from the Jaguars, Byron Leftwich. How is that for topsy turvy? Luck will have to orchestrate and implement a lot of things as a QB with the Colts while digesting and learning on the fly. Although he is familiar with some aspects of what his responsibilities will include he will need to adjust to the other new players and the veteran play makers as well. I think he will perform well.

Now, it will not be easy to replace a legend, but the Colts have been shall we say "Lucky" thus far and hopefully the only Luck that will run out will be the afore-mentioned one onto the field to receive the snaps under center. I can see the headlines already in my mind's eye..."Colts 'Drew Luck so Rams Stuck with RG3." Makes a nice caption eh?

So although the only draft I ever get excited for is usually my beer, I think this year I look forward to the exception.Also with a lil. Luck we may be back in the saddle again! Thoughts?

Thanks Jagged and glad to see you. You got excited over your draft beer my time it was the draft board but the lottery system took the fun out of that! lol!

Welcome jaggededge, wasn't on the previous site or blogged before here. Only correction on your blog will be the Redskins instead of Rams with RG3. Otherwise am with you on everything else

Thanks for the correction, Coltman51, I do now recall the Redskins will have that pick due to their wheelin' & dealin' with the Rams. @Urusai: yeah a lottery system is great when it comes to winning money but may leave a little to be desired when it comes to draft pick order, eh? Glad we are in front this time. @shecolt: Thank you for the compliment, I am glad to be here and have a place to blog as well.:)

good blog jaggededge. Glad to have you! I honestly don't think I will be able to make it another 3 wks til the draft, but alas, I must! I'm itchiing for the Fall in the worst way. I can't wait to see Pagano's impletemented D...can't you just see our guys in an actual attacking defense??? Makes me excited!!

Your are right, a monster has been born in Indy and I for one can't wait for the havoc it is going to cause all of our opponents.

Lol @ Maureen: Me? Cause problems? (Insert Eddie Murphy laugh here) No way! I would have a real problem with that.:) @ColtsPRIDE11: Yep the Hybrid 3/4 4/3 will be exciting to watch especially with our Freeney/Mathis options. Luck should get lots of field time to score unlike our past football savior Manning had. Imagine Manning with an aggressive defense and additional possessions...I expect that to be Luck's situation. Luck will have more possessions than Linda Blair in the "Excorcist." @Colts8718: Hello Mike and yes I do remember you well. My job to keep everyone on their toes with wonder...( wonder as in I wonder what he will do next blog?:)

Just a thought?? What if you hear, And the Indianapolis Colts select, from

the University of Baylor, Quarterback RG3!!!!!! What?????

Would that be like all the change made to these Colts site since it began

in one big punch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We would have a overload on this site and shut it down. Just a thought?? Wake me up.

Coltsince4, it ain't happening. The Colts will take Luck. Irsay, would love the media firestorm but in the end it is Luck. Luck knows it, Irsay knows it, Kravitz knows it and soon in a week or so the world will know it.:) Personally, I want RG3, but Luck is the safer pick, as far as QB expected league longevity.
