This was Jan 6. Is he still a possible Colt? How does a Futures Contract work?
He is on the roster. Before the league season is over, you can sign FA players to futures contracts, meaning they will be Colts when the new year starts...

The only pick that had me scratching my head was Zach Banner. Not sure how such a massive guy fits in our scheme. However, he's pretty historical - will be a great lockeroom guy. He and Walker will make our strength and conditioning coaches earn their keep...

I'm a huge Reds and Griffey Jr. fan, so it's more nostalgic than anything. It'd be fun to see another generation of Griffey contribute to a team I love.
Tell me 'bout it. I lived in the Seattle area and was a huge Mariner fan when he came up as a 19 YO. I remember a picture of Jr. with a 3 YO Trey wearing a backwards baseball hat...

Walter football reporting we signed Trey Griffey, WR, Arizona. Son of Ken Griffey Jr.

Like @PrincetonTiger mentioned, Justin Gibbons is 6'5", which is taller than the average corner.
Scouting report:
Nlfdraftscout has him at 6' 2 5/8"...

My round 4 list:
Siragusa Mack Walker Jr. Holden McNichol Blair Brown Howard Wilson Brian Allen Kittle Watkins Brian Hill
Round 5:
Ebukam
Aaron Jones
-
I really like Delano Hill and had taken to mocking him with the first of our 4th round picks. The Seahawks also took Shaq Griffin within a few picks of Hill - really good picks IMO.
-
I really like Aaron Jones if we don't select Mack or McNichol earlier.
-
Nico Siragusa
Jeremy McNichol
Brian Allen
Samson Ebukam

BOWSER! (or Mixon)
-
I'll say:
2) Joe Mixon
3) Shaquill Griffin
or
2) Sidney Jones
3) Trey Hendrickson
Would love Tyus Bowser or Kevin King, but I just don't see them lasting to #46.
-
Cook wouldn't have been on my board due to character, injury, and athletic reasons. Any of the three would have disqualified him from my 1st round consideration, and he had the triumvirate. I wouldn't draft him before round 4...and you say Hooker has questions!
-
I'd be very happy with Mixon. I still think he'll be gone before our pick, though.
-
Cook isn't on my list due to character, athletic, and injury concerns. Mixon only has one incident, and remains high. My list going forward into Round 2 looks something like this:
King Bowser Mixon Lamp Sidney Jones Quincy Wilson Wormley Rivers Moreau McMillan Awuzie
-
Hooker was the name I was chanting by the time the pick was made. I thought he was a possible faller, but didn't expect it.
-
The only consensus we are privy to is "sports bar 1diot" consensus. I think King could be the BPA at #15, b/c he is a better athlete than any of the others we are talking about.
-
I like them both. But King is the premier athlete, so he is my choice...
-
Kevin King - best athlete among CBs (by a huge margin), good tape, and surprisingly under-rated by us * draftniks...

If somebody would tell me what "flummoxed" means, I might be able to get ready for it.
It means bumfuzzled or nonplussed.

Enjoy the draft, everybody. Rome wasn't built in a day. Sometimes you can't see the forrest for all the trees.
Yeah, and let's just try to get a little better each day, take it one game at a time, expect some ups and downs, keep our eyes on the ball, and maybe we'll knock it out of the park...

Just the Sidney Jones pick. Sidney at #46 is my dream IDC what ppl are going to say he's absolutely worth it.
Ballard's comments regarding the long-term approach, along with recent reports that Jones is creeping back into teams' top 50s, had me making that selection if we miss out on a CB in Round 1...

I REALLY like Samson Ebukam as a developmental pass rusher. He's very athletic and if he can play more focused and less tasmanian devil, he could be really good.
Me too. While I noticed him pop out a little when I was watching two E. Washington games late in the year (to see Cooper Kupp, specifically), it wasn't until his Pro Day that I locked in on him. He's a very athletic piece of clay...

Agreed. I tuned in to two games to see Cooper Kupp, and Ebukam drew my eye somewhat. Like Bowser, he has the size, speed, and athleticism to play any of our four LB spots. Gonna need time, but he should be great at ST...

I think you defeated the purpose of trading back. I think you could still get Bowser in round 2...and BPA at #25. Also, I think Siragusa in round 3 is a major reach.
If you did get that type of trade back, it would present a good opportunity to grab a TE.
Obviously, I disagree we can get Bowser in the 2nd (or else I would have taken him there in my no-trade scenario). Multiple reports of him being a 1st rounder...

Granted, I don't watch film, but rather try to catch games of interesting prospects during the year. I caught two Y-state games during the year and listened to announcers talk Rivers up. He didn't do diddly either game. Not only did he fail to dominate, but he was pretty invisible. He racked up sacks in other games, apparently, but I saw no special characteristics. To me: looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane.
