  1. I’ll have to search for Hicks’ break-down. I hadn’t seen much tape of Bowers until a couple of weeks ago when I watched a highlight reel, and that was very impressive. I’m just nervous about how hard it seems to be to predict TE success…
  2. Not really true. He just had Goedart in Philly. I’m not putting him much above Woods or Ogletree, if at all. Honestly, if you assume Bowers is the next Gronk or Kelce, yeah, of course you take him. But we’ve had a bunch of guys be dubbed the next Kelce, and none of them actually panned out. Most recently, Kyle Pitts has shown not much more than flashes. And TE is one of the areas of least need on the team IMO. I don’t think I’d take Bowers if he fell to us at 15…
  3. Mason McCormick. Stud athlete and great run blocker. We probably would not want to give Fries a long term contract after this year, what with the LG, RT, and C making a ton and Reimann next up for a huge pay day. McCormick could step right into the line-eup in 2025. Honorable Mention: Max Melton.
  4. My final mock: Trade down with Dallas for 1-24 and 2-56. Points work out even. 1-24 Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas 2-46 Max Melton, CB, Rutgers 2-56 Jaden Hicks, S, Washington St. 3-82 Mason McCormick, IOL, S. Dakota St. 4-116 Isaac Guerendo, RB, Louisville 5-151 Jaylon Carlies, LB, Missouri 6-190 Caedan Wallace, OT, Penn St. 7-234 Jamree Kromah, DL, James Madison
  5. Woulda gone with Quinyon Mitchell and the top flanker-type WR in the 2nd. Roman Wilson, maybe.
  6. I’ve been thinking about Trey Taylor too. 9.33 RAS. Good size, productive, and guaranteed to be high character out of the USAF Academy…
  7. Trade back to add another Day 2 pick. Plenty of good WRs and CBs in the 20-25 range…
  8. I’ll have to tune in to that. They’ve gotta have some interesting interactions with each other…
  9. Funny, I’ve been digging Jaylon Carlies, S, Missouri as a potential LB conversion for us. Currently my 5th rounder on my mock. Just found this yesterday, comping him to EJ Soeed.
  10. Trade down with Dallas: 1-15 for 1-24 and 2-56. 1-24 Max Melton, CB, Rutgers. Vastly underrated. 2-46 Roman Wilson, WR, Michigan. Explosive and smart. 2-56 Javon Bullard, S, Georgia. Great in coverage. We need a premium secondary in this division. 3-82 Mason McCormick, IOL, S. Dakota St. Athletic and best player at EWS. 4-116 Isaac Guerrendo, RB, Louisville. Fast. 5-150 Jaylon Carlies, LB, Missouri. S conversion with 4.50 speed. 6-189 Caedan Wallace, OT, Penn St. Athletic enough to be a swing tackle. 7-233 Jamree Kromah, DL, James Madison. 271-lb 3T/DE hybrid like we like.
  11. With the 77th pick, the New England Patriots select Ruke Orhorhoro, DL, Clemson.
  12. The Patriots have filled their ILB corps for some time with tough (but demonstrably unathletic) thumpers. Mayo brings the Pats’ LB corps into the 21st century: With the 44th selection of the 2024 Gavin Mock Draft, the New England Patriots select Edgerrin Cooper, LB, Texas A&M.
  13. You are correct - the Raiders used it in the trade up for Nix. Never mind on the trade. Sorry.
