  1. Its fun watching QB`s that consistently throw tight spirals that are on the Money like Flacco did today and RGIII is doing tonight.

Clyde had to stay in BA`s playbook. I bet he could add some wrinkles. Just have to find some stuff Luck can execute at 65%.

    Good Luck on that one!

  2. There are Football Towns that always seem to be rebuilding. What a Marvelous turnaround we Colts fans got to enjoy.

So happy for our risk taking Owner. It didn`t have to be this good this quick, but IT WAS!

Coach P, BA and all the players, you earned a Long Vacation. Thanks for the memories, cause YOU DID GOOD!!

Mr. Grigson Great job! You can have a week off! ;)

  3. Mike Wallace is a Horrible idea.

Can you believe someone thinks that a poster here thinks Barret Jones would FIX our Line? Where do these *&^%%& come from?

No but Kruger WOULD BE real upgrade to our pass rush and overall D.

VAUGH bites on any move downfield and NEVER makes a play on the ball. He is WORTHLESS today! Satelle kills us. ARGH!!!

  4. Shipley EARNED the center spot.

I fell outa my chair when I saw Olson. But I`m OK.

Game of inches when Mathis blew up Rice and Ray cut in and Flacco threw a perfect oass. How it goes sometimes.

Andrew just doesn`t see what is about to come open and compounds that with inaccuracy. UUUUUUUUUUUUGH!

But we gottem' where we want`em. :0 Go Colts!

  5. In 719 plays Dwight Totaled 12 Tackles and that included his 5 sacks. With Dwight, WE Have Always defended the run with basically 10 people. For me that has been tough to watch for all these years. He has played like every down is a passing down.

It made him $$$. $tat$, so Manningesque!

    Jerry Hughes - 41 tackles 4 sacks

Please, no more Pass Rush only specialists

How about one of these FA?

Anthony Spencer 95 tackles 11 sacks snaps 842

    Cin. Michael Johnson 52 & 11.5 snaps 911

    Bal. Paul Kruger 42 & 9 snaps 794

As I said Poor Mookie was Worthless until his last few games. but he did start getting penetration and it made a real difference. Yes I want a dominant NT.

Teams run between 70-80% between the tackles and 40-50% between the Guards. It was said Chapman is almost immoveable.

I`ll take some of that. ;)

  6. So, you want pressure on the QB, but you don't want Freeney because he doesn't play the run?  You want a speed NT that stops the run, and sacks the QB?

Not too many of those guys in the league.

I don`t want Freeney because he is clearly Past his Prime AND a Huge Liability against the run.

    Easily replaceable at this point.

That would be a NT that GETS PUSH. NT`s don`t usually make many tackles as they most often are trying to take up two blockers so the ILB`s are more free to stop the run. As I understand it.

For the 1st 10 games or thereabouts Poor Mookie Johnson was getting knocked back 3 yards and was involved in almost no plays.

Then he started holding his own much better and also started getting just a little penetration which really helped us to stop runners for little or no gain. Then he got hurt.

If you have a NT that can get some PUSH when he is NOT double teamed, well QB`s hate pressure in their face and find it very distracting AND it disturbs the runners. So if you can add that with some outside pass rush with someone better than a too old freeney, and with some good cover corners, you might have a D that Creates some Turnovers. Even if this PUSH NT doesn`t get a Sack.

  7. a disaster vs teh run? i understand the run is not his big strength but people are just saying the same and i dont think they are watching the games.

freeney stopped the 3rd and 1 vs foster last week, not mathis, and has been setting the edge the last 3 games. of course there are instances that he takes himself out of the play on running downs but they are nto what some fans are making it out to be.

and he aint no situantional 3rd and long, he is getting old no ddoubt about it and Griggson has to make a decition, but please he  was getting constant pressure on schaub last week no matter the down. and he was getting doudbled a lot by their TE or Foster.

Not watching the games? WOW! Freeney has NEVER set the Edge. BTW, the guy has 12 tackles for the season. That INCLUDES his Woefull 5 sacks.

JerryBrown has 41 tackles and 4 sacks.

The Freeney Thoroughfare has been open for a free 5+ yards his whole career. If anyone was watching.

    Freeney in for 719 snaps

    Hughes in for 865 snaps

  8. Zib is pretty bad out there. Getting him out of the lineup and replaced with a Top Talent is VERY Important ASAP.

And our pass rush is WEAK. Having Freeney is not a luxury but a Liability. We are in desperate need of a good rusher.

This draft may be deep enough that we will want to use next years #1 to get into the Very early 2nd rd.

  9. The fact that we so often play better D in the 2nd half is a good sign to me.

It is one thing to talk about the need to play better in the 2nd half and then doing it.

That you can see what adjustments need to be made, and can then convey them at halftime, and the players successfully get it and can put it into effect. I LIKE that coaching staff.

Get him a better pass rusher than Freeney, a quality safety, and a high quality ILB to play with Freeman and we should be in the top half on D. This is Doable in this offseason.

  10. Yes Links play at guard was better than his play at tackle. Gawd he is a terrible tackle.

If Link makes our final roster next year that is a very bad sign. Just need bodies, that is crazy!

We sign one FA starter for the O-Line. I believe Grigson can draft a starter in rd 3. And Ijalana comes back to play guard or RT. Right now I am taking Shipley at center as the real deal.

There are several pass rushers available in FA. We get one.

So the O-Line is good, pass rush good.

In round one who is the highest graded player available on our board?

Check out Elam at Safety. The Bio I read may have been written by his agent, haha!

But I had been thinking how I would LOVE to have 3 Vontaes. This Bright, athletic kid could be it.

Wouldn`t a smart, fast playmaker Safety (our Reed) who hits and covers be a great addition? He might be the BPA!

:) there are always so many guys I wish we could get.

  11. Freeney is a Situational 3rd and LONG Backup quality player NOW. A DISASTER against the run, Always has been.

Giant Kudos to Grigson and his team for finding new players. Much Credit to the Coaching staff too! Impressive.

Sign some of these guys longer term and add a pass rusher, safety, and a big fast ILB and this D should be Very solid.

Add at least Two Improvements to the O-Line and another Solid RB and the Offense could be a Monster.

Crossing my fingers Big Time for Ijalana & Chapman. They could both become anchors for many years to come. We need some Luck!

  12. Ay LEAST 15-20 guys on the sidelines Sunday won`t be here after next season.

And we are looking to replace/upgrade 5 starters on defense and at least 3 on offense ASAP. And we need depth.

A Monster STARTS at the Top. How many believe we have the Owner, GM, Head Coach to Lead a Winner/Monster? haha! I have NO DOUBT!

    We have the QB!

But we need many more Quality players to beat above .500 teams week in and week out.

Will it be good enough like in the past to beat weak teams in the regular season and having a Fancy winning %, and then not being able to win a single game in the Playoffs? You know, 1 and done 7 out of 11 seasons.

I Hope our Monster does better than that. JMO

  13. After suffering from a bad hip for many years my 70 something Dad did the replacement.

During a visit with him 3 weeks after the surgery I asked about the pain and he happily told me there wasn`t any.

Then he shared the bad news that because of how much pain he had endured from his "bad hip", he had no idea how much his other hip hurt.

Dad relied on his good leg so much because his bad hip leg had become very weak over the years, he was afraid to do the other hip. He got himself around for several more years with canes or a walker. A tough old fart.

He spent a year and a half in Stalag 19 after jumping out of his flaming B-17 that was Schweinfurt bound. Yip, a tough Man.

I hope Mr. Irsay gets relief from what ails him. I like the Soul of the Man that he has become.

  14. I have Okafor replacing Freeney as the primary pass rusher and Okafor sets the edge in the run game with the best of them which is something Freeney simply fails to do more often then not

    Hey Htown,

Upon further review... your ruling on the draft pick stands. Okafor would be plenty good enough for our Colts. x 10 if he can make some tackles against the run. (Plug the Freeney hole/gap/thoroughfare)

  15. Take away Browns 3 longest runs and you see he STINKS if the EYE test didn`t do it for you already. Wake Up!

Andrew led the League in 20+ yard passes with a POOR completition % that will hopefully Improve.

Why in the world would you pay Mike Wallace $11-12 Million to do what we already have. Pitt figured that out. Wake UP!

You must REALLY LOVE Satelle. Good Grief!

Warmack has ZERO% chance of falling to us.

I`m shocked by it but Shipley changed our running game.

If we sign a REALLY Good Run/Pass blocking guard this O-Line could tighten up.

Of course we all would like better play at both guard positions and RT.

I would Love a better LT, with Cast at RT, ready to be there in case of injury. Wishful thinking.
