  1. The first 4 on your list seem doable at this time and would be a Huge Boost.

I would say Kuger or Spencer would work. Spencer makes A LOT of tackles.

Cromartie is squirrely they say, but a great athlete. Our lockerroom and Team Leaders would be good for him.

And a Real upgrade at Safety would be of Big help.

Castonzo was actually pretty BAD at LT protecting Andrew (11 sacks) and lots of hurries and hits.

But we ran his way at a higher % than most any team did. 21% and with good success.

We were also at the bottom in running off RT & RE. 7 & 5%. With poor success.

Castonzo at RT would clear that up especiially if he has a better guard beside him. That Balance would be Very NICE!

J Bushrod gave up 4.5 sacks at LT for Cash Strapped NO. This would be excellent to grab him and Upgrade two O-Line spots.

You add a NEW solid RB to this group and it would be Watchout.

  2. Just a thought about Vaughn. Would you agree he has the speed to stay with a top receiver? I think he does.

Seems like they do get him to turn his hips with a move but he seems to recover well but NEVER turns to defend the ball.

He didn`t turn when Boldins momentum was taking him out of bounds right by the sideline.

Why in the world would you try but fail to reach around Boldin for the ball rather than jump and turn and extend your arm.

The point is, Coach can get it thru his head I would bet. Study his opponents better, improve his techniques... we will see if they think he has hope.

We have the chance to add at least 3-4 Really good players thru FA and the draft, and a few other solid ones.

With a tougher schedule it will be a tough fight to make the playoffs, but we sure have high expectations.

  3. We are so many players away from being really good, if Elam is as good as his Bio, of course you take him if he grades worthy of 24 and he is the highest on our board. The combine will speak loudly. Looking for the 4.4`s.

This kid has the pedigree of Ed Reed light. Not a 6th round knucklehead a half step slower. He might be ELITE.

Chuck & Grig will figure it out.

Eric Weddle fell to the second round.

  4. So if you pay Freeney $14 Million for 12 tackles and 5 sacks...

What would you pay a guy like FA Connor Barwin for his 31 tackles and 3 sacks? $12Million? Good grief!

Clady or Jake Long = Clueless. Agree that Buffalo will keep Byrd & LeVitre.

We HAVE TO get a Pass Rusher & an O-Lineman. Period.

#1 OLB Anthony Spencer or Michael Johnson not a OLB but his rushing and setting the edge YES. Paul Kruger.

#2. OL Jermon Bushrod LT 4.5 sacks 1 Hold 5 false starts.

Louis Vasquez OG No Penalties in 2012 2.5 sacks.

Vollmer RT 1 hold 1 false start 1 xxx 5.5 sacks.

Have to see what is going on with:

    LaRon Landry.

Andre Smith Bengals RT gave up 7.5 sacks at RT.

Castonzo 1 hold 1 false start 11 sacks!!!!!

Justice 1 hold 4 false starts 3.5 sacks.

    Linkenbk 1 pen 3.5 sacks.

McGlynn 1 false start 4.5 sacks.

    Olson 2 holds 1.5 sacks.

    Reitz 1 hold 0 sacks.

    Satelle 2 pen 5.5 sacks.

    Shipley 0 pen 0 sacks.

Jake Long 2 holds 1 FS 7 sacks in 12 games.

Ryan Clady 4 holds 2 FS 1 sack.

Matt Kalil 2 FS 5.5 sacks.

Russell Okung 3 holds 7 FS 2 sacks.

Nate Solder 1 hold 2 FS 3.5 sacks.

Joe Stailey 3 holds 2 FS 7 sacks.

Joe Thomas 4 holds 4 FS 4.5 sacks.

  6. chad, Brandon McKinney came from the Ravens is WELL Known by Coach. A 7yr vet who did not get a lot of playing time.

Josh Chapman should be pretty well known by now. Whether his knee will hold up must be a concern.

If a NT that they grade as worthy of the 24 pick is there, and he is their highest rated player, I bet they take him.

Especially if they have him rated a number of spots higher. Teams average running 50+% of their plays between the Guards.

In the 3-4 your guy has to dominate. That ISN`T McKinney, and who knows about Chapman. Just saying.

I would be very happy if an Excellent O-Lineman is there. Andrew will get even better with his accuracy/timing and will be a BEAST. Just give him more time to throw. $$$ Extremely well spent.

Teams get good by having a LOT of good players with a few years of playing together. We are going to have a lot of turnover for a couple years. That is why you need to take the best player you think you can get. lol Go Colts!

  7. How about Jack Elam. Why suggest people expected to go in the top ten?

No, we Badly need a bigger faster ILB than Angerer. IMO he can`t get off blocks well enough for our D. A good 4-3 mlb.

Xavier Rhodes looks interesting but at his size his 40 time will be crucial.

Later 1st rd $$$ is Chump change BTW. I would hope Grigson identifies a Top Talent worthy of our #1 rather than someone who looks roughly equal to the ten guys drafted behind him. We need some standout big play makers.

  8. 3 & 4 had a lot to do with Andrew throwing Late/Behind his receivers a HUGE% of the time.

This added to the degree of difficulty to Make the catch and brought the defender into the play as the ball arrived.

Andrew will get better in year two and better in year three as he works with his boys. Just a part of Building the Monster.

    It ain`t no Gimme.

  9. Don`t you think we game planned for them blitzing most every play against our bad line, ball holding Rookie QB with a poor blocking RB? I am sure BA & his assistants thought (Lost Sleep) about that A LOT. JMO

I haven`t heard ANY compliments about Andrews ability to audible into better plays, so I am believing it just isn`t in the program.

Year two should offer some Real Jumps in our ability for audibles & the hurry up.

An improved line and another solid RB... it is OK to feel giddy about what IS COMING!! :)

We will be dropping 30 on them!! And our D should be at least a little Better in year Two. Co Colts!
