  1. DW that would be Dustin who said Avery had 4 drive killing drops against the Ravens.

I know that did not happen.

I think Andrew is Amazing in most ways. Kinda makes me wanna puke tho when all these Homers here totally Ignore the stuff tha Andrew was apologizing to BA for. And sick of watching him throw behind his receivers 2/3 of the time and hearing his POOR Throws should have been caught. Especially when his ball was usually late and our guys were about set up to get clobbered.

All game Every game. He got a little sharper the last few games. Watch Kap, Flacco, Ryan, throwing all those balls on the money where their players can keep going. And Wilson! ;)

MANY of the "DROPS" by our receivers were from all those off target passes thrown behind them.

If you aren`t willing to admit that your opinion is of little value. IMO

A link for TEAM dropped passes.

Here is a Individual dropped pass link from stats hosted solution. I wonder if their numbers come from the NFL/ match Elias?

  2. Props to poster, 'throwingBBS'....

He made a post recently about a prospect he likes....   my eyes popped when I realized it was from NFL.com....   It's their webpage set up for following the draft.

So, I spent a few hours on it late last night...    it's really well set up...

You can find players by name, by school,  by position, and by grade with a simple click.

The ONE CAUTION for now is that many (most?) of the evaluations are not yet current.   They're through 2011.   But a good number include a 2012 evaluation.   The rest will come in the weeks and months ahead.

Even if you disagree with some of the evaluations -- and I do -- it's just so well organized, that you can get a ton of good information in a one-stop-shopping kind of way.

    http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013

Click on the link....   then click on '2013 Draft Tracker'...    there you will see how it's laid out.   Simple.  Easy.    Organized.     It will only get better as the draft draws closer.

One personal note:   I'm hopeful this means a more well run "Combine" webpage on NFL.com...  I have not looked yet.   But the last few years that webpage was the worst thing I had ever come across.   Beyond horrible.   Complete chaos and the system didn't work consistently at all.   A nightmare.

I wrote and stinging and scathing e-mail to the NFL office.    I'm hopeful they changed whoever they were using to run this material.     If the "Combine" page is anything like the "Draft Tracker"  we're all going to be very, Very, VERY happy!!    Good times ahead!

Here is one more. Don`t see anyting regarding their process. But if you look at the bottom of the list some might say they do have an idea what they are talking about. ;) Yuck!

you will see at the bottom of the page the list for all positions

  3. Reggie would look real good in AZ for their 2nd rd pick. Just dreaming.

Not that I don`t Luv Reggie. Just see the REAL Monster at LEAST 2-3 years away.

I would take an early 3rd for Mathis 2. Same reason.

BA needs Satelle, Link, & Olson while he is at it. Hope he doesn`t take Fokou.

  4. Blood

Andrew & Reggie combined for 88 incompletions and only 5 Touchdowns. The well timed sideline routes so prevalent in Reggies past were pretty much not in the playbook. If not for Reggies GREAT hands how many more misses.

How about that 5 yard pass at the goalline against the Ravens that was wasn`t close.

Maybe they need 10 more minutes? ;)

Seems like Teams like WR with some size/muscle

    Final 4 WR

    A Bolden 6'1" 220

    T Smith 6'0" 205

    M Crabtree 6'1" 214

    R Moss 6'4" 210

    Final 8 Wr

    D Thomas 6'3" 229

    E Decker 6'3" 218

    AJ Green 6'4" 207

    S Rice 6'4" 204

    A Johnson 6'3" 230

    J Nelson 6'3" 217

    R Wayne 6'0 198

    P Garcon 6'0" 212

    J Nelson 6'3" 217

  5. Getting a kick out of all the would be GM`s large variety of suggestions for our O-Line.

Can we upgrade? Chuckle. I heard Seth & Link are headed to AZ.

In building the MONSTER O-Line there are SO MANY holes to fill it will surely take More than this off-season to get OUR Players. I am sure Grigs will be tight with his $$$ so he can pick up OUR (FA) GUYS (whole Team) for a few off-seasons to come.

Everyone expects better pass blocking I am sure, but the ability to be/become a VG run blocker is a MUST.

We couldn`t run right with Justice, wouldn`t think he will be considered as more than a short term backup.

Andrew will Feast on Play Action. :)

  6. Ravens said Manning couldn`t throw it like he needed beyond twenty yards so they adjusted.

We will see if he gets stronger as he gets another year older. IMO once they hit Manning a couple times he played worse.

The Ravens played well defensively against the Pats, without Gronk.

    Brady had 25 incomplete passes.

The Ravens Defense will surely go downhill with Ray leaving, maybe Reed too, and possible FA losses. Opens a window for Tom.

Like everyone, they both still need a lot of help to win Big games.

  7. Look at the teams that made it to the final Eight. How many of the ball catchers have strong bodies, usually some height, to fight with the DB`s for the ball and Also can take a HIT?

Is Robert Woods the guy you want out there 16 games a year making the tough catches and taking hits?

The Colts need to begin developing one if not Two Bigger (6'1" +) WR`s (not smurf`s) ASAP. It takes 2-3 years for excellent chemistry. IMO.

Guys who can muscle off the line and go up over the DB`s and get that High thrown ball, especially in the Red zone.

  8. You give a very good (and reasonable thank you) example of an option Grigson will be looking at.

We need a Slew of New starters being developed over the next few years.

Grigson commented regarding paying big money for talent, "are they really that much better" than the next guy.

There may be someone at 24 that he thinks would be a Real difference maker, a GREAT get.

But in your example of pick 39 & 71, I bet he would also think he could select TWO players who could be solid starters in time.

I hope he gets an option like this, the 3rd round should offer some good gets.

  9. Welker has been fun to watch. Building a Monster won`t be done by collecting high priced FA vets I betcha.

I`m betting Grigson & Co are thinking slow and steady, adding year after year, building a good, deep, balanced roster.

We can be picking up interesting FA players for the next few years.

I want a Bernard Pollard type safety. 6'1" 225. Hits like a truck and fast enough to get to the sideline in time to - Hit like a truck. He makes about $1.5M per. ;)

  10. Pep has already answered All he needs to. Please read the articles on this site to get caught up. VG, clear stuff!

This and good general football knowledge should leave one excited and looking forward to the developement of our Offense and our next game. It is really just stuff great teams have been doing since the 80`s, and we have Andrew to run it. ;)

Some think there is some magic going on, when all it comes down to is fundamentals and execution, and the management WINNING on draft pics & overall roster developement.

And our Colts are in a Rock Solid position to build our talent level.

Just shake my head when I read "Power Running game". NFL Teams run 70+% between the tackles. If a Team builds a line that run blocks well and has a RB who is Strong and gets good yards between the tackles, is that a PRG? What % of NFL Organizations/Coaches want this? What % of fans are Concerned about their Team being like that?

  11. Explosive is as good as your hands. Palmer looked scared to me and showe no hands. practice practice practice.

Avery did a great job showing he could play and he caught his share of inaccurate passes.

But he will get an offer that will make a cheap Palmer have a shot at next man up.

ASAP we will look for a Bigger WR who can get downfield AND be strong in the red zone.

A skill set like Roddy White as an example. Takes 2 -3 years to develope a top WR, chemistry and all.

  12. Helped by it. With a stronger running game and more anticipated short throws overall, wouldn`t this open him up even more for one on one coverage downfield? He will need to hit the ground like MARVIN when he can.
