  1. Seymour was always a Bad man on the field.

Defintely expect Grigs to sign a Long Quality baller for Moala`s spot. It could be Fili but they will have a lot to choose from.

Lawrence Guy showed me a little something. 22 years old. Wish him good health and maybe he does well backing up Redding.

Aldon Smith had No sacks for 5 games after Justin Smith got hurt.

Same with the Nose Tackle. Offenses run 50+% between the guards. Mookie was Overwhelmed. Of course I thought he had a couple pretty decent games right before he got hurt.

With a Mauler opposite Redding and some Serious NT play, our D can vastly improve.

  2. Three Big Guys in the trenches, this would be an excellent Higher $Dollar FA class. SOLD.

Need a RT a little cheaper?

Lots of Veteran D-Lineman available at reasonable price so I

think Colts go OLB/pass rusher with our 1st pick. This may include moving back later in the first. (SF for their 3rd-6th) :)

    In Grigson we Trust

3rd rd in order of pref. a Bav CB, RT, DL, S, RB.

    4th Rd. Bav same.

4th rd comp for Garcon SAME

    lol after that.

  3. Jerry Hughes 41 tackles 4 sacks in the Pagano D.

    Freeney 12 tackles 5 Sacks

Freeney has one season with 40 tackles. Year One 41. Hasn`t been close since.

Freeney hasn`t had THIRTY tackles since 2005. A High of 25 over the last Four years.

As most Know, with Dwight we have been defending the Run with 10 people!

Bethea - ONE interception Total over the last 3 years. NONE the last two years.

  4. Agree with both of you.

Considering current FA`s, Vasquez sure fits the Bill in need, talent, age.

    IMO Kruger fits next.

I would certainly expect a starting FA CB upgrade to Vaughn. not for a lot of $$$.

All things considered, with so many pass rushers available and our Long Term Need, I see a PRusher in rd.1.

  5. While Helping his Team defend against the Run, Ellerbe had one less sack than Freeney. 5-4

Freeney had 12 tackles last season in over 700 plays. That includes his 5 sacks. Isn`t that funny/pathetic.

Freeney only had 19 tackles the year before including his 8.5 sacks.

And match that with all the rushing yards our D ALWAYS gives up because he doesn`t Bother to play the Run! Ugh!

Angerer is a good tackler and MLB. He NEEDS two tackles in front of him to take up blockers like in a 4-3 because he is not physical enough to shed blockers well.

Also he is a TARGET in a passing game plan because he runs like he is in sand beyond 5 yards downfield. JMO

DVR the games and watch them in slow mo. With speeding up between plays, all the commercials and halftime, you should be caught up by near to the end of the game. Or watch later. It is very revealing.

  6. Well actually you could spend the money you saved on him to help pay for a Younger more expensive player who could Easily out produce him in this defense. And yes they overspent on his contract.

We know all about Irsay and keeping Team/fan Spirit. He was a .... for paying Freeney $14M & Mathis $9M per. The reason we could only afford MEAT FA`s last offseason. Except for Redding!

  7. Funny how some just don`t get it that we can ASSUME the O-Line will be addressed and other condiderations are healthy to discuss.

Personally, I think most any RB would be an upgrade to D Brown.

I liked how Ellerbe covered the field and made plays. He would be a Nice upgrade over a Too SLOW Angerer.

  8. Mathis played decent in this D for the 12 games he suited up. 33 tackles and 8 sacks. He definitely can still run, but I would say he is average at best Against the run. JMO.

Again, I would rather put the money on someone younger, as his body has a lot of wear and I have a hard time seeing his production being anything special going forward.

And again, a 3rd rd pick in this draft should deliver a good starter going forward. Yes I have doubts we could get a 3rd.

As next season is just another of several long steps this roster will take to get a bunch of New starters on it, I don`t see an "Older" Mathis making much of a difference over the Next Man Up during the remainder of his Well Paid contract.

I would have to go with Freeman as our best defender, and Vontae number two. Mathis, Redding, and Bethea were all decent, and just a Bunch of real Mediocrity after that.
