  1. I don`t think we will sign Reed either.

It wouldn`t cause ANY problem signing longer term players that you want because you WOULD sign such a player if you could get him, BEFORE you would sign Reed, as a NICE Improvement & a Short Term fix. We might actually get an Interception from a Safety!!!

  2. With all the Bengal history of LOSING, I would propose that they are More notorious for not Paying their players.

Though not really following them these last many years, I don`t have an example. A Frugal organization?

Their current Cap space seems to shock most. I know it did/does me. lol

Who cares tho, WE are now in Position to really advance ourselves. Glad they drafted Zeitler last year! haha!

  3. Considering Need, talent, age, I would not miss out on Vasquez.

And I really like Krugers versatilty, size, talent, age.

Both those guys should be Rock steady if you have to pay them for 5 years.

William Moore at Safety sounds like a winner for us. He actually intercepts passes!! If Mathis is worth $6M?????

  4. If it is understood that a line needs to play together for AT LEAST a couple years, of course we can get there.

Castonzo looks like an Mid-level tackle AT BEST, but what will he be in two years?

Add Vasquez as a FA. Draft Fluker for RT. And Ijalana comes back healthy and plays well at Guard, and we are really close.

That would be a LOAD of Big Bad Lineman starting game 1 next season. Ijalana/Fluker might switch?

We could most likely get a really good Center in rd 3 next year and be set. (I like Ol' Shipley though) ;)

One way to do it. Go Colts!

  5. Freeney admitted he wasn`t what he was BEFORE the season started, so it was a JOKE they paid him $14Million just to appease the fan base.

We didn`t have to sign the likes of McGlynn, Satelle, Zib, Justice and have Olson on our Roster.

Thank Irsay`s PR move for that.

In the end, I think we are all pleasantly surprised with how it worked out and where we are at.

Coach back and us in a Playoff game in Baltimore for Rays last home game. INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    For me, a PERFECT 10.

  6. This about about who we think will be locked in for the upcoming season.

Add Ballard and IMO this is a very good list. Adds up to 13 players w/Ballard.

NT is a big deal in this D.

I would be shocked if Mookie comes back.

Chapman is a total? McKinney is a career backup as are the other guys we used.

Lots of veteran DE available. I could see us signing a good one. Moala that guy?

At ILB they may keep Fokou. If so we are servicable.

We know we need a Quality pass rusher in the Freeney spot. One thing I like about Kruger is he can rush from both sides.

As part of a rotation, Mathis & Brown can also be effective on either side.

At safety we need HELP. ;) Zibby needs to be a Coach. haha Lefeged was Ok considering.

O-Line improvement is a given. We need at least one JACKPOT hit and hopefully a close 2nd one.

Every reason to be VERY optomistic.

We will be feeling a serious Monster IMO, after next years FA & Draft season. Lots of growing/melding yet to be done.

  7. We will sign at least 2 veteran cornbacks.

Butler is on our wish list as the slot guy/maybe starter opp. Davis.

If they don`t get Butler, Jenkins might be considered.

I don`t think Jenkins would be chosen over many of the FA`s that will be available as our #2 corner.

Considering his ability to Press cover, tackle, and with his shoulder. Better options.

  8. Our Colts have a considerable amount of money they can use for contracts written such that can be terminated after 1-2 years.

So a Gifted Veteran WR IMO will considered. Yes, one that can catch in traffic, take a hit. Health and Value RULE. So No on Jennings.

Bowe is Not the guy I want to Lock in for 5 years at $10M+.

I think you Draft your guy. Develope and Evaluate what we have for one more season while maintaining lots of CAP $$$ for shots at the next few FA years.

Probably one of Palmer, Whalen, Brazzill will be hurt by final cut.

Smurfs have Short Arms in traffic.

  9. Freeney 15 sacks. Freeney TRADEABLE with a $14M salary. Nice to watch Freeney accumulate 12 tackles and be his regular NO SHOW against the run for the $14M we could have spent signing 3 really good FA`s. Instead, Zibby, Satelle, McGlynn, Justice.

  10. Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees are great. A little pass happy because their running games are too weak.

Kinda hard on the D too if you can`t grind some time. Simple. Fundamental.

Pagano pronounced when he got hired he wanted a good running game. He and Pep Agree.

You run a couple wildcat plays in pre-season along with a few read option plays and you burn some of your opponents practice time.

SOP for many teams going forward.

Can you imagine worrying about this stuff before we have played 3-4 regular season games.

They will ALL learn as a Unit and AGAIN, it will be MORE about Year Two. PEP gets time to learn on the job, and not alone.

  11. Seymour was always a Bad man on the field.

Defintely expect Grigs to sign a Long Quality baller for Moala`s spot. It could be Fili but they will have a lot to choose from.

Lawrence Guy showed me a little something. 22 years old. Wish him good health and maybe he does well backing up Redding.

Aldon Smith had No sacks for 5 games after Justin Smith got hurt.

Same with the Nose Tackle. Offenses run 50+% between the guards. Mookie was Overwhelmed. Of course I thought he had a couple pretty decent games right before he got hurt.

With a Mauler opposite Redding and some Serious NT play, our D can vastly improve.
