  1. Well we signed that Jeremy Kelley dude who is 6'6''

Go ahead and get Barden too! Not likely but, if they were on the field together... let the defense show their hand... Luck bombs one outside or across the middle over everyone's head. Especially with the Colts planning a hybrid power running offense... PA Pass and Luck could make either Barden or Kelley look like heroes!!

Notice Grigson signs a very tall guy with WR speed, not one with the speed of an Avg. inside linebacker. Speed rules.

For other posters, IMO, Now isn`t the time, and Bowe isn`t the player the Colts would want for Big $$$.

  2. Getting a guy like this in here early really helps him.

He won`t be the last New WR with size in camp.

A 15-20 catch season maybe in year one, guesstimate a 20% chance making the opening day roster.

Shows us IMO many of us understand what is needed, and our GM is hot on the lookout.

  3. Having $12-$15 Million a year to spend that Some of your competion does not have should be good for depth.

An Ex: Brees at $10M per, Rodgers $7M as I recall. Their teams had 15-16 players making more than $1M in their SB Winning years when the Colts had 9 in our SB Loss.

Who else will have that advantage.

Seattle will have about $4M a year more than us over this time.

    Washington the same as us.

Cam Newton will sign a Cap friendly deal.

    Kaepernik too I whould expect.

All NFC Teams that should have Elite QB`s in 5 years. Lots of competition.

But most likely about 10 of the 2012 players will be here 4-5 years from now.

That means the roster will be loaded with younger players. Good enough for a run we should certainly Hope.

  4. IMO there is ZERO probability we sign Bowe.

Kruger at age 27 would be worth a 4-5 year contract. Solid talent & FB savy.

I could see us making a Competitive offer for him. If Mathis was worth $9M per at his age, and HE WASN`T.

Like what I have been able to find on Vasquez. If he IS such a stout run blocker he would work.

Would he leave SD for about equal $$$?

I watched Warford in Sr Bowl practice and Mayock saw things he liked.

Without a pyschological profile and Pro Day/Combine results, I wouldn`t have a clue who belongs On our draft board, or what round they should be taken.

  5. Bowe has the size that looks good and just enough speed. Not sure he has shown enough Team player traits for Grigson to give the guy $10+M a yr for 4 years or more, especially as he will be 29 at the start of next season.

Especially IMO, as we are so many players and a few years away from building a deep, experienced in playing together team.

Sooner we get a bigger WR in the system the better tho.

  6. Reading Grigsons words and looking at all the High Quality veterans on this years SB Teams leads me to believe our GM won`t push the FA envelope in year two.

Slow and steady on Free Agents. Develope what we have and fill in a few more slots with younger moderate priced players with good upside. A Talented, Deep and Experienced roster to compete for the One Goal will take at minimum 3 years. IMO

I expect one FA O-Lineman at no more than $5-6M, maybe a 2nd one at $4M, or draft the second one.

Castonzo had a rough year, but it does make sense to see where he is at with another year of experience and in an Offense that doesn`t throw as much, and uses more quick pass routes. That should help everyone.

I can see Fleenor split wide some in this New offense!

  7. The draft Guru`s Love the stop watch and overall athleticism.

And they highly value the player production seen on tape.

At some point these lines cross, perhaps that line usually comes by round 6?

By then you start seeing Most, not all, players short in both areas.

Hunger, Focus, Intelligence, Luck & Opportunity then break down the door.

As we watch the Hayworth Hicks of the world pass on by.

  8. Grigson had the advantage of two Franchises research of college players. Whatever he had he decided very well.

There are always guys taken in rd one who either don`t pan out or become very avg. players.

I expect very good results with this years 1st pic, and likely good results in the 3rd and 4th in this deep draft.

Wish us Luck keeping Our own FA`s that Grigs thinks can help us. BA will want some of them!

Can`t wait to be talking about our new players and year two.

  9. Laugh of the day Uncle Mark. lmao!

Jim Irsay has travelled quite a road getting himself and OUR Colts Franchise to being admired the way it is.

It didn`t have to turn out this way!

And he is such a goof at times, trying to have a good time with it all. I am very glad he is OURS!

  10. No way NFL players should be put at such a High Risk of injury in an All-Star game.

Because of what they do put themselves through, a free trip to Hawaii for R&R with their peers and Family has been hard earned, and the NFL should continue this.

Let them play some flag football, skills tests, etc. and have a couple of fun filled meet & greet, picture taking Fan days.

This would add Real meaning to being named a Pro Bowl player as you wouldn`t backfill for the Super Bowl players and the ones that don`t attend for whatever reason.

  11. How far from Elite?

I`ll estimate after about 900-1000 more Game pass attempts.

He clearly has the "Clutch Gene", he just needs to improve his arm strength a little, keep that spiral tight more consistently, and get "in better time" with his receivers. Usually Late & off target. He wasn`t throwing BB`s.

He was pretty lame at doing his checkdowns and had trouble hitting them when he did.

Season two will be all about improving his short game.

An Excellent progression on the path to building at least one Elite MONSTER.
