  1. Rimington award winner Shipley cut by Pitt & Philly. Our GM knew him.

Super bright, tested as Athletic at the combine, voted top lineman in the Big Ten and was a late 7th rd pick. ????

    Has SHORT Arms.

A situation where ZIB and Samson might help us best, on the bench?

Link has a History of being a Horrible/Terrible/Whiff Master as a pass blocker. Period!!

He showed a little ability as a run blocker, no that much, he is a constant threat to the health and well being of Luck.

Seems like most every team has numerous O-Lineman out with injury. You hang your hat on who you got for next man up.

We have Olson & Link. Arghhhh!

  2. Freeney had an assist on a tackle, Woot Woot!

About playing 5 yards off- I think it is a standard to play 7 yards off LEAGUE WIDE. I think I see someone doing that on most every play, every game, all season long.

Yes of course having a CB with very good press coverage skill is Wonderfull. Even that player NEEDS a PASS RUSH!

Thank you Vontae for our 1 sack.

Wasn`t Tennessee playing with a Mash Unit O-Line?

We will find out against Houston if our run D is becoming Solid. I know they are a scrappy bunch that is playing with Great Effort.

  3. Oh it was blatantly obvious he threw it right to a defender. bad/dumb.

I would guess Luck would prefer an offense more like Harbaughs.

More short passes, much more use of his TE`s.

NO out`s. He said Harbaugh wouldn`t let him throw them. WOW!

And oh ya, a very good running game to make the play action effective. lol with this line.

Andrew has been targeting guys downfield all season and missing them way to often by a Mile.

  4. V. Davis was Very Good to Elite Today.

We burned their secondary all day long as they burned us.

A REAL burn is when the QB puts the ball on the mark. Some QB`s are excellent at that, for darn sure Andrew is a MESS at it.

He throws a lot of course, reminds me of a young T Bradshaw with so many bad, dumb throws. So many "my bads".

With a reliable running game in year two, safeties helping in run support will open it up some downfield. Grigs will fix our line.

  5. A 4-9 caliber Team, playing against very mediocre teams that find a way to lose.

lmao tho, 9-4 is Totally Amazing and a Huge treat for Colts Nation.

NOTHING Easy about winning in the NFL! Our TEAM will have a little time to sit around with their battered bodies this off season, knowing they have given their all, and will have earned Great Respect from their peers, NFL fans, and their extended Families.

    Already Big Time Winners!

  6. Recipe for Disaster:

Mix one oft injured, thrown together O-Line with...

a Rookie and average at BEST vet RB

one excellent veteran WR with a 4-5 Rookie receiving corp with one more WR coming back from knee inj.

a Rookie QB asked to hang in there till someone gets open 15-20 yds downfield

Hahahaha! Noone would want a plan like that. But in many ways it is working. There wasn`t much chance we were going to establish a Top Ten running game this season.

What bewilders and tickles the .... out of me is, Luck is leading us on MANY 75-80 yards drives with such a modest running game. It IS the long passes getting us down the field. And we run more plays than our oposition most every week. Impressive considering the youth and our O-Line issues.

Arians will have a better O-Line in year two, surely someone better than Donald Brown, and with a season of experience and an off season, we will have a much better idea where OUR offense stacks up against the league.

Considering the yards we are putting up with Andrew making all these bad throws and the bad decisions now, year two should be Very IMPRESSIVE.

  7. can`t find it now, posted it once before: Manning was at the BOTTOM of the list for the Playoffs, of great QB`s, when their Defenses held the opponent to 20 points or less.

What seperates LUCK ALREADY from Manning is that Manning played SCARED in the pocket for his 1st 5+ Years. We all witnessed it!

And he won over 40% of his Regular Season games against the worst 5-6 teams.

The Case Against Manning: Peyton Manning is a lot like Dan Marino—tremendous regular-season success with the “can’t win the big one” label. Manning does have a ring, but it was as a result of a less than spectacular performance in ’06, and it’s safe to say Dominic Rhodes (or Rex Grossman) deserved the MVP for the game.

Manning is a shocking one-and-done seven times in the postseason, and his losses are brutal—blowout losses to Chad Pennington in ’02 and Tom Brady in both ’03 and ’04, an upset loss to Ben Roethlisberger in ’05 and close one-score losses to Philip Rivers in both ’07 and ’08 and Mark Sanchez in ‘10.

Bottom Line: The Indianapolis Colts are a strange organization in that they build their team more around one player than any team ever has in the history of the NFL. While it usually works in the regular season, Peyton Manning’s postseason performances are hard to justify. In nine of the team’s 10 losses, Manning has led the Colts to fewer than 20 points, and his interception to Tracy Porter in the ’09 Super Bowl was possibly the most costly turnover in the history of the NFL.

Manning is a tremendous regular-season quarterback—maybe the best ever—but it’s pretty evident his play in the playoffs is subpar.

Oops, From the "Case against Manning" on down is from Bleacher Report.

  9. Good pulling Guards were always part of a big running game. The packer sweep is a staple.

Do our guards get out and lead runs around the ends? Do we Ever run wide right?

D Co-Ordinators must Luv scheming against our offense with our limited running package. JMO

  10. There have been a number of stories over the last ten years or so how Mr. Irsay followed, studied with great interest, how the older great owners succeded.

He started under his Dad, who was a pretty poor example, and has clearly learned well how to Lead an NFL Organization.

Say what we want about how the Polian era needed to come to a close, but Bill was a BIG part of building a REAL Monster and a Solid Organization.

Watching this go on for so many years, I am sure was a Big Help to Mr. Irsay putting some Real Granite under his Knowledge base and his Wisdom to Lead.

The CAP Problem he faced was something other Teams had faced many times before. I am sure it had been a topic of discussion for many years as they decided who of the veterans to resign for Bigger $$$ and how much closer it would bring them to CAP Armageddon.

Looking at our Pricey aging "Stars", Cap He**, and injured CAP UNFRIENDLY QB, and Andrew Luck, his decision to Clean the Slate was timely & a Winner.

It is always a crap-shoot in the NFL.

But when you look at the Results of his choices that followed, I can only say, Dude, I really appreciate having you as the Leader/Owner of Our Indy Colts!
