  1. I didn't mind Simms, but am OK with giving Romo  a chance.

This is a bit off topic, but why is Chris Collinsworth so disliked? I don't think he's that bad, so am wondering what the criticism is all about. Maybe I'm missing something others see.

  2. The reason Francois was released by Washington is because he criticized the team on Twitter. (I don't have a link, but it should be somewhere on the NFL website.) One does not complain about their managers on social media and expect to get away with it. Hopefully, he won't do the same about the Packers organization. Otherwise, this might be a good pickup for them.

  3. It sounds like your father is playing daily fantasy football. Every week you can set a different roster depending on match-ups. Fanduel and Draftkings are both daily fantasy. There are different types of leagues, large and small, also there is a type where two players go head to head., winner take all. Some cost to enter (all prices), and some are free. The free ones don't pay money, it's just for points. The amount of money you get depends on how much you paid to enter. Sometimes the top 50% win money, other leagues it's the top 12 or 10 people.   With daily, you don't have a set roster, as each week the roster changes.  That helps in case a player is injured or suspended.

I don't know why it's called "daily" as it goes by week, not day.  it's the type of fantasy football I play; I never started a league where one drafts players for the season.

Well that would certainly be a shocker, you know the Patriots being good......

Okay early bold predictions really going all out here:

    1) Pats will be good and get homefield. And then there will be excuses of them making opposing team locker rooms too warm or something which therefore causes fatigue for the opposing team.

    2) Falcons will choke away some big leads.

    3) Aaron Rodgers will be named MVP by fans and media by week 6.

    4) Browns will have a losing record

    5) Cam Newton will pout.

No love for the Falcons? haha Give the team a break; they had a great season.

Besides pouting, Cam Newton will be one of the best dressed players in the NFL. lmao

Mm I wouldn't say screwed, screwed is Andrew Luck retiring to become a children's author.

It is still going to be a loss however, I don't think people realise how much Pat helped mask a lot of the holes on our D. He was literally the first line of defense. That's a really worrying statement.

Luck retiring as a children's author? Please don't give him any ideas! :argh:

  6. I'll be surprised if the Saints win the NFC South. Who do they have besides Drew Brees? Synthetic might be able to answer that question. The other players seem too inconsistent. It just seems like NO is still trying to rebuild. Tamps seems more likely to take first place next season.

  7. I'd like to see Kansas City in the Superbowl. it doesn't matter who represents the NFC.  If NE is there again, I hope they lose. it would be especially nice if the Giants beat them again, or if Dallas did. Brady losing to a rookie qb would be funny.

  8. Some Eagles fans I know mentioned that Jackson seems to be interested in going back to Philly. He has kept in touch with the team and is friends with some of the players, so it's not out of the question for him to go the Eagles. I don't know for sure what will  happen.

  9. I have JJ Nelson in one of my daily leagues. He has been plenty of snaps lately and should continue going into week 17.

I'm not sure about Dez: it's unclear how many snaps he will get, so I wouldn't start him. Romo is predicted to play along with Sanchez. Beasley might be the one used more. The others you're starting should be OK.

It's difficult to predict exactly who will play, so part of it is guessing. Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

  10. I was hoping that Baltimore would win, but it didn't work out. One of the best games this week, though. The Ravens and Steelers usually play exciting games.

I think Pittsburgh could win in NE, as long as Big Ben doesn't throw interceptions. The Steelers definitely have the talent.

  11. I wonder if anyone had Robert Turbin in their lineup? No one could have predicted that the Colts would completely dominate the Vikings. I'm just glad that I didn't have Minnesota's defense; decided to use another team.

I try not to overthink lineups; I usually go for favorable matchups and use players who have been contributing in past weeks. I only play daily fantasy, as it's easier to change lineups each week depending on injuries, suspensions, etc. Getting into the standard with season draft picks would be too complicated for me.

I am using the Chargers' defense against Cleveland in a league this week. Also, Phillip Rivers. In fantasy, any team against the Browns should work out.

  12. It's challenging trying to set up lineups. Many of the top quarterbacks didn't do well, so I'm not sure who to trust this week. I'm definitely putting Le'Veon Bell in my leagues. I was in the top 50% because of Bell: he got me 49 points! I don't expect him to do that every time, but how can I not have him in my lineups? Especially when the Steelers are trying for the playoffs.

Then if teams are already going to the playoffs, will the starters still play? That's why I prefer daily fantasy: each week is a different league.
