so many assumptions. Could simply be a depth/insurance move because one of our guys is hurt/dinged up and we don't know it. *classic

Polian is a clown. The notion that he's clueless to the fact that winning Super Bowls is the priority is completely discrediting. He knows EXACTLY what Irsay means and he knows it is EXACTLY why he was fired. 11 playoff appearances and 7 first round exits speaks for itself.
Uunacceptable..ESPECIALLY when you're the guy laying out the cash.

Great OP

"Why did your players drop so many passes and why didn't you do something to prevent it?!"
"Why did your defenders commit so many penalties on 3rd & Short and why didn't you do something to prevent it?!"
-
eh forget it, Ill wait till the emotion from this loss wears off
LOL
If you're implying that by waiting, incompetent arguments will decrease. I don't think so.

Conner would not have done much better at all in coverage, a slight upgrade in that but minimal
Spot off.
Conner is a serious coverage upgrade over Harvey. No two ways about that.
-
He is a 2 down interior linebacker who was forced into a 4 down role do to the Freeman injury, What you saw from him in coverage the coaching staff already knew about...Thats why he is not a starter anywhere
Spot on.
-
Coaching was the same its always been; fine. Just a poorly executed game plan by the offense. And too many key penalties/injuries on defense.
-
I feel great , thank you .
Well, I'm happy for you. That's what we want, right; everybody feeling great?
-
Man, am I glad I read this thread because after watching the game last night I felt like the Colts got beat by a team that played better in all facets of the game. Now I find out that is not the case, the Colts just beat themselves... someone ought to tell them not to do that.
Ehhhh I doubt this thread is gonna do you any good.

We lost this game, the chargers didn't win it.

As a Seahawks fan I saw our meeting the same exact way lol
The media is wearing out the entire " victories over Seattle and San Francisco thing . You caught a SF team still finding its way and beat a Hawks team missing 3 starting o lineman , looks like the Colts bought into their own greatness
I guess this makes San Diego the team to beat now , oh wait they lost to the Raiders ? Are the Raiders the team to beat ?
Go Hawks
If that makes you feel better, run with it.

Can we catch a ball?
It would appear that some people's response is "not unless a different play is called from Pagano/Hamilton!"
???
-
There was a lot of blame to pass around after that loss. The dropped balls, stupid penalties, overly conservative game management, putrid oline play, the power formation play action pass call on 3rd and 19, the defense... It was a team loss, poorly played and coached in every aspect. Except for kicking, AV was on fire
The coaching, the style of play and the play calling was fine. We didn't execute any of it. That's the only problem. #TeamAxeToGrind

It was just an observation, that all.
Ehhh game night loss attitude. Forgive me.
-
I'm not.
Stop being stingy.

Not able to understand how anyone sees that as some type of Chargers overwhelming us for the win. I give'em credit for getting to the stadium on time. But Pagano himself said our "execution" cost us.
We simply defeated ourselves with too many mistakes that opened the door for the hapless Chargers.
-
Not so much blaming Luck as noting that if it wasn't one player failing (Wayne dropping a key first down) it was another. DHB definitely should have caught that pass, but Luck overthrew it a little. Defense gets a stop on third down but somebody takes a penalty. All the examples you gave, I think I agree with you. Even the punt near the end of the game by Mcafee was a huge letdown.
It was a total team loss, with everybody contributing a little bit of poor play here and there.
I hate saying when he was basically the only guy getting himself open, and I've always given him a pass on it, but I really wish Wayne hadn't tried to go fetal on his 1,000th catch. The Chargers were nowhere near him and that might've been a much bigger play when we really needed it.
C'est la vie.

Yep, we looked like deer in the headlights for most of the night. Too many penalties and mistakes that we aren't used to seeing with this team; not to mention dropped balls from those who are usually sure handed. I think the Seattle game took it out of us! It's all good though. Let's regroup this week and show up on Sunday night!

It wasn't the play calling. If they execute, no one would complain about the play calling. Too many drops. Colts v Ravens in the playoffs, same thing. Way too many drops. I think pep is doing an excellent job. Fans are so fickle here. Complain about Arians being too aggressive and pep being too conservative. Lol

It's telling that the blame the wrong people threads thrived overnight and into the morning. And the soberminded threads didn't.

Especially to teams that pound the ball and run the 3/4. Now, if Luck can be Breesesque and TAKE what the Broncos 4/3 will give him, Manning will lose 2 in a row at Lucas Oil Stadium.
