I think we will be OK with the first team.  But I am with the OP....It now makes me cringe!!!  I also think he will revert back to instinct sometimes and not slide...just thinking out loud.

Im with you if needs the extra yard you know hes going for it . Was impressed with his accuracy on throws and pass protection looked much better overall.

I like Quan Bray a lot.  I bet we see Chester Rogers get a couple of returns in this week.  He has been one of the most impressive receivers through camp and preseason.

Quan will make the team regardless due to fantastic play on special teams.

From what I see Chester makes the team , a very capable slot with speed on outside . Return skills there as well.

Yeah, there have been so many. Most of the Heisman winners have turned out to be duds. Some QB's like Ryan Leaf, Rick Mirer, and Heath Shuler were Great in college but were absolute junk in the Pro's.

Could it be there is to much politics involved in selecting the Hiesman and real talent is overlooked.

How does a guy who catches the ball as much as he does not fit the bill as an all purpose back?   I would rather have him than gore,    but that isn't gonna happen

Hes very weak between the tackles very easy to bring down , his pass protection is non existent. Hes a great open field runner and good receiver out of backfield , but we don't need another aging RB and as I said we are glad hes not with the Bears any longer , now if we could just loose Mr overated Cutler we can move on.

  5. Watch all Bears games Im a fan Second only to the Colts . I do not want Forte in Indy that's my opinion and glad hes leaving Chicago. He does somethings well others he doesnt , very good if he gets in open field , however not a strong back. We need a good all purpose back in Indy he doesn't fit the bill here IMO.

He sounds intriguing.  I read about him today on the Daily Norseman which had a link to a write up that Bleeding Green Nation had on their site.

Standing a 6-4, 240 pounds, no one will question's Brissett's size. He is built like an ideal NFL quarterback, possessing great size to help him both in the pocket and when he is on the move. Brissett has an incredibly strong arm, having the ability to truly threaten any level of the field. Brissett does a great job of winning in the pocket, but he also has plus athletic ability that keeps defenses honest. He has the ability to not only extend plays outside of the pocket, but his size and speed make him a dangerous runner in the open field. From a purely physical standpoint, Brissett is precisely what any team would want in their quarterback; Well built, strong armed and possessing dynamic athletic ability.

As a passer, Brissett's mentality is what makes him so good, yet, somehow, also causes pause to a lot of evaluators. Brissett is an aggressive passer. He wants the big play. Having the arm that he does, his mentality often leads to a lot of splash plays that few other quarterbacks in the country will create. Of course, looking for a big play can also risk turnovers. When a quarterback is constantly firing down the field or testing small windows, there is as much downside as there is upside. Brissett also has a tendency to stick to his reads down the field, missing open guys crossing at the shallow and intermediate levels of the field. So, in a way, his style leaves yardage on the field. Of course this is not a good thing, but I think Brissett's defining trait is certainly not a bad thing.

    Very good analysis NFL .

It is remarkable that very few posters here have condemned Talib for his personal foul against the Carolina receiver. He admitted that he deliberately grabbed the facemask and twisted the player's head.  He nearly decapitated the guy. That was reprehensible. I think his actions were much worse than anything Cam Newton did during the press conference. JMO

"It was B.S. flags,” Talib said regarding a pair of personal fouls called on him in the first half, via NESN.com.  “One was on our sidelines [for taunting] — the guy [Brown] was talking on our sideline. One I just did on purpose, and I just had to show him. It’s probably going to be a fine. But, hey, we’re world champs.”

Talib added that he was aware, given Carolina’s field position at the time, that the penalty wouldn’t result in a major loss of field position.

“My teammates knew what it was,” Talib said. “He was on the three-yard line. [With] a personal foul, he was on the one-and-a-half-yard line, so it is what it is.”

Oh I agree with your assessment , Talib has always been this way. I never condone dirty play.  And if you admit deliberate attempt to injure a player it would be a lifetime ban in my book.

Yeah he was awesome in big moments. Not to change the subject but that is why I wanted Peyton to get that 2nd Ring so badly because a lot of the media and fans in general don't consider a QB Elite unless they win at least twice. Hard to believe Marino and Kelly never won 1. Tarkenton didn't either.

Still havnt got my likes back , but good point. Tell me Marino Fouts , were not elites . Id say what planet are you living on. Just didn't have complete teams around them.
