    That's where I am..

If someone says that LeBron is Top-5 all time, that means he's better than Bill Russell or Oscar,

    I cant go there yet

Wilt, Michael, Kareem, ..they stand vey tall

Agreed I'm out of Likes , Big O done everything very well . BR was BR lol . Wilt was a freak of nature . Michael best offensive player  and to his credit worked himself there . Was not a great shooter to start with.

Jay we are probably viewed as grumpy old men by some in here haha. As we go way back, I started watching in the 70's but mainly grew up with the 80's as a teenager. I don't think there was a more physical decade than the 80's with teams like the Celtics and Pistons into the early 90's with those Knicks teams. Most players today couldn't handle the physicality of teams like that. Imagine the first time Rick Mahorn or Bill Laimbeer close lined LeBron, LeBron would be lying on the floor for 20 minutes rolling around. He barely gets hit and does that now at times. I am with you on the subject, LeBron is in the Top 10 but not even close to the GOAT. I have him and Big O pretty even for that 10th spot. I still think it's between Jordan and Magic for GOAT, I give the nod to Jordan but to me Magic was the better Leader.

See lol I go even farther back I watched Wilt,  Big O , Havlacheck , West, Russell so on .

You mean Larry Bird who came in 22 years old vs 18 year old Lebron. Larry who played on some of the most loaded Boston Celtic teams of all time? Larry was great but I'm sorry he was not as good as Lebron. It isn't that close really. Larry had so many more advantages over Lebron in who he played with it isn't even close. Larry played with like 4 or 5 of the NBAs 50 greatest of all time. Lebron has played with one. It's all opinions and I grew up watching Larry but I can't put him ahead of Lebron. There is no question Larry is a superior shooter but Lebron can do things on the court that no man can. I hate to give Lebron any props at all but putting Kobe or some of these other guys on his level that only effected portions of the game and not all facets is a disservice to him. I will admit Larry and Magic affected the game in a similar all encompassing way but Lebron is just a level above in how he makes his team better.

I see the where your coming from to an extent , however I still don't think these players today could deal with the Physicality of the past. I will take top 10 no more and not because of dislike. Hes a great player . Best ever ? Not by a long shot. IMO that title belongs to Big O.

I can't stand Lebron...but he is Magic on steroids though. Name one thing that Magic does better than Lebron....defense nope...driving to the hoop...nope...shooter...nope...passing nope. Leader push. Fact is Lebron is superior to Magic in every way....you guys might think killer attitude is this end all be all thing but Lebron understands basketball...understands situations and knows that in game ending scenerios the right play is to get the ball in Kyries hands...or Ray Allen. He makes the high percentage play...and when its him that is the high percentage play he makes it. Look...Lebron is one of my least favorite basketball players in the NBA but he is way better than Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Shaq, Tim Duncan and just about anyone not named Michael Jordan. He makes everyone on his team better and is virtually unstoppable and a defensive nightmare...ask Iggy if you feel safe on a fast break. I'd imagine his plus minus and offensive efficiencies if you choose to look it up is off the charts. The guy is just a freak of nature....he is a top 5 talent hands down.....there is a reason why he makes the finals every year....and he hasn't always had the best team...although his complaints this year about the team around him was borderline cry baby for sure.

Its your opinion and your entitled , even though its flawed . All you must do , lets just look at the Stats  Bird against Lebron for the first 8 years lets say. Come back and talk then I already know the answer.

Gabriel is spot on.  This guy became arguably the best player on the defense.

Those that are calling him trash must have been watching Nickelodeon and definitely not the NFL.  He played hard on every down.

Early on he was weak.  He was over-running plays and such.  I really enjoyed coming around party. :)  Good luck 93.  Don't hurt Andrew when we play you.

In all honesty the only decent OLB we had in time frame

Because we have Luck we still could win the Division but anything more than that is pushing it. It will probably take 2 or 3 years before we garner a Defense up to get back to the AFC Title Game.

    Stranger things have happened

I think we get effort every night...it just looks like it when we're winning. Its more complicated

I Like CJ Miles in the starting lineup..because he can get us off to a good star with 2 or 3 shots..

but we are the top foul shooting team in the NBA....so I'd like us to attack the basket early to start drawing fouls.

    That's not Miles....

I think Ive noticed in the last couple of games that Miles starts and goes to the bench after 4 or 5 minutes..so he can come back with the 2nd until as well.....because his shooting opens the lane for Al Jefferson...

Seems to me.,.we need another distance shooter  to play with that second team.

    Your thoughts?

It definitely wouldn't hurt . However Buckner was referring to him being gassed at times Miles that is. Is he out of shape for some reason ? I'm like you I like him in the Starting lineup as well.

  8. I'm not worried by opponents , what worries me is if the real Pacers will show up night in night out. When this team plays team D and buys into it they are very good , however when the don't they are average. Stuckey adds a lot to the second unit . Really nice to see big Al doing what hes doing . Allen has talent when he works , if when Young gets back if he will play with the intensity he did against the Pistons we could have a very special second unit. Bottom line consistent effort night in night out will make this a very good team.

I agree Brother Jay. The Falcons RBs in Coleman & Freeman are so dangerous running the ball & catching the ball out of the backfield as a 2 headed offensive monster. Plus, I expect Sanu to be lethal Sunday night as well.

I hope all is well my friend. Nice talking with you as always.

Yes doing pretty well been working some OT , spending time with the family. Hope all is well with you as well .

I like the gargantuan score meaning enormous point difference there Jay.

Matt Ryan showed me something against GB. He crushed a lousy secondary.

Let's hope he cuts thru an even better one on Sunday brother. Make it happen Mr. Ice. Please...

They wont stop the RBs either I look for Tevin Coleman to have a huge game multi dimensional runner as well as a prolific receiver , Freeman isn't Swiiss Cheese either. Patriots secondary cant stop the recievers Atlanta has unless the officials allow them to hold. I'm looking forward to it.

Well you might tell the Packers that because the Falcons scored 1st Q 10 points / 2nd Q 14  Packers 0 thru the half 3rd Q  13 pts falcons  / 4thQ 7 pts falcons  So I personally don't think the Falcons are hyped at all but playing good football at this time. I still think that the Falcons can pull this out but who knows. :dunno: I think the Pats are over hyped. If the Texans had a decent QB the Patriots wouldn't have won that game and wouldn't even been going to the SB.  JMO

By the way nice to have you back around
