  1. Harrison is better than D Thomas but they are different recievers. Wayne is better than Decker, Welker is better than Stokely, Clark is better than the other Thomas.

By that way of thinking that is 3 to 1 Colts but collectively the way they work together they might be the best CORP of receivers he has ever had.

  2. Every player has their weakness, but even though ware is a liability, dude is a monster in almost all phases of defense. But yeah, ware is a bad example lol. Even though I have seen him get a couple picks and batted passes during my time, he still isn't the best.

Yeah my brother is a Cowboys fan so I watch some games with him and cringe whenever he drops back into pass coverage.

  3. lul.

This comment here, just the part I quoted tells me a lot about why you seem to be getting into these type of debates.

This isn't wow. Lul is a mocking version of lol and it comes off like much of your post does, condescending.

You reap what you sow around here.

  4. SF`s Offense was in disarray after the injuries and the beating Seattle put on them. A GREAT week to play them.

NOT the SF team anyone is accustomed to. How fortunate, Again!!

It`s OK if you think that isn`t true.

We can only play who is on the schedule.

If we end up only playing 3 playoff teams this year we can't help it.

Historically the Colts Defense hasn't even performed well against crappy opponents, we used to beat teams 35-30.  So to see that we beat up SF and then did what we were supposed to and dominate the Jaguars, the stats hold water.

  5. It's against these bad teams that as a good player you get the big stats.

He doesn't have to sack Peyton 3 times, Peyton knows he is there and is ready for him. That is a good thing.  The threat of him, especially with his start, is almost as good as the actual production.

  6.

You make it seem like he had a lot of runs, he had 3, and most of the yardage came on that huge 50 yarder.

I think he's a good change of pace running back and I made that clear before, but let's not start saying that he's a good explosive running back. He has his moments every now and then but he's a 3rd stringer.

So I'll stick with my point before, he had a big run that really tipped the scale for the Colts, but that was about it for the Colts. Besides that, he has 2 rushes for 14 yards.

And besides that issue Mrs. Lincoln, how was the rest of the play?

So seven yards a carry is not a good change of pace?

I would take 5 carries for 35 yards every game out of Brown.

We have been talking about brown the same way for 5 years.  He tends to break one decent run a game that "skews" his stats.  But if after 5 years he still does that, the stats are no longer skewed, they are what they are.  He has the home run ability.  He has the ability to take a run that would be 5 yards for any other back and turn it into 20-30 yards.  He also has the ability to take what would be a 5 yard run for any other back and turn it into 2 yards.

I think by that very definition he is a "Change of Pace" - or - "Complimentary" back.

Kevin Faulk made a nice career out of doing exactly this for the Patriots and I for one would love to keep Brown around in this role (Special Teams, 3rd down, change of pace back) for many more years.

  7. Brown is great with limited touches.  He is not a carry the load guy.  You need the barreling guys (Richardson, Ballard) to carry the load and use him for 4-6 carries a game and we will get one big run.  He is so fast, when the hole is there.  He wont get much when it is not. It's pretty simple with him.

When we stop looking at him as a first round pick and start looking at him for what he is, he will be viewed in a much better light.

  8. Now i'll just nitpick on something you said. I really don't think he is a quality blocker, i would say apart from Bradshaw all our RB's are terrible at pass protection.

But i do agree Brown will have a good year. It is his contract year isnt it? And i honestly think with Havilli on the field, that extra block he needs makes Brown look like a 1st round pick imo. Still i'm not convinced about him when there isn't a fb on the field though.

Ballard is a real good pass blocker or rather looked like in that first game he turned himself into one.

Brown is above average to good.

If Brown was drafted in the third round this place would love him, don't hate him because the previous regime drafted him too high

  9. Werner will adjust. i just don't know... i dislike that we may have to spend the next decade hearing american announcers say Verner... It's like we know some one is from another country so we (our culture) feels the need to say the persons name as if we are from the country too lol. if we are gonna say one name that way why not say them all that way. "touchdown!!! Reggie Vayne"... Just sayin

Wow that's a completely ignorant view
