  1. invisible? 310lb + guys are very visible. :)

Now if you meant "invincible"...that's a little different. But I would not agree, our D-line is not great. Redding is the only one that should be starting. Johnson, Moala...not really that great at their job from what I've seen. We'll also likely draft another SS next year because Zib is not a long term solution.

Moala was a 3-4 DE in college and we tried to make him a DT in the cover 2, he is a much better fit at DE in the 3-4. I think he will finally show his true potential in this defense and I am looking very much forward to it :)

  2. Maybe its me but Angerer just doesn't impress me. He was average playing the MIKE in the Cover 2 and is now expected to be run support. I just don't see it. I don't see him doing anything more than Freeman.

I think he will be better in run support than in coverage, he has a nose for the ball and that is what you want for your run stuffing ILB in the 3-4. He is not a star but I think he is our best linebacker since David Thorton.

  3. I expect the Bears to blitz Luck a ton so I see Allen and Fleener being huge guages to how the game will go, if Luck can hit them on short routes and let them lumber up the field for extra yards it will slow down the pass rush. If that does happen I can see Donald breaking a big run. Luck has to get the ball out quickly, he doesn't have to stay upright, he will take hits, he just has to get the ball out first.

  4. I love Collie and think that he was not just a product of Peyton and think that he is in the top half of receivers in the league and maybe one of the best number 2's currently playing. He just scares me everytime he catches and underneath route. Not for football reasons, I would trust him to catch anything. I fear for him personally.

  5. Totally disagree. It was a dirty arm to the head hit on a defenseless receiver. Should have been a 15 yd penalty and a fine and a suspension.

I thought the NFL was clamping down on these kind of dirty shots to the head ... and yet I didn't hear boo about this blatant deliberate shot to the head, other than everybody hoping Collie is okay.

You really have to be kidding with that right? That was about as clean as a hit can get and completely accidental.

  6. If this game is a low scoring affair we have a shot, if it gets into a higher scoring track meet we can't keep up.

I think our offense will be a 21 point a game offense later in the year but earlier I think we will be a 14-17 point team.

If the Colts win I say 17-10.

If the Bears win I say 24-10

  7. I added John Henderson in Free Agency and made the trade for Vontae.

Week 4 vs Jacksonville Avery out with a broken colar bone.

Fleener is a beast and can run away from anyone on the fly route.

I am enjoying the quick play call option, it is keeping me from just going to the money plays that madden always has.

The tackling is a JOKE, this new Engine is pure Benny hill with people just running into each other and falling down.

  8. Picking the WRs will be tough. I hate to say it but I would cut Avery and keep Wayne, Hilton, Collie, Adams and Brazill.

    I honestly agree with this.

Avery is a little more proven but I think the upside of Adams, Hilton and Brazil are higher than his.

I wonder though why we haven't seen Brazil or Hilton with the first team more.

Adams does play on special teams, both sides so he brings versatitlity that none of the other receivers do.

I feel like Adams is going to end up like Aromashadou (Sp?) We cut him, he gets picked up by someone else and goes on to be a decent player.

  9. I just watched this and man he looked stunned. He looked like he just got cut and I think the I am want to call my grandma thing was more him wanting to get away from the situation and not "looking like a girl" on tv by being upset.

This is the first Hard Knocks I am watching and I have to say that it has actually made me want to root for the fins to not be so bad.

  10. My thoughts of Vontae Davis is he is a young talented kid that wanted to talk to his grandma when he got the news.He looked a bit sad n a bit shocked. I dont think he thought he would be traded . This was a wake up call for him n i think he has a good heart. Im glad hes a colt n he will do well. God bless Vontae....

I was listening to a local radio show and Brian Balldinger was on and saying how he was at NFL films and the guys left at 7:00 last night to get the episode to HBO for last nights airing so he says it is common practice for them to finish the edit right before it goes live.
