Loved that interaction, and Also love the fact that Andrew is coming back knowing he should not have thrown that.

Thing is, that's what people remember. But he picked up a ton of blitzes all game long. And I think that was only his second miss of the season, which is impressive given that Luck has dropped back almost 200 times this season.
This.
He has done a great job this year.

1-3 - The sad part is it really should be 3-1
-
I am more worried about the blocking of the RB at this point.
Brown was doing really good in picking up the blitzes out there (finally)
I don't want an inexperienced back letting luck get hit anymore.

Week 6, week 17. Po-tay-to po-tah-to.
wow 12 games vs 1, I can see how they are the same.
-
Yeah I know he will try and design ways but I think look back to the game that Avery had earlier week 2
Avery 9-111
Reggie that week
8-88
So if Avery gives us something where he can take the pressure off and because of his speed you can't leave him 1 on 1 that might allow Reggie to run Cromartie through the wash on a couple plays and break them open.
I actually think against the Jets Allen will be the big numbers guy and think we will get at least a vertical push from Hilton as well.
With a Rex Ryan defense if you start throwing Vertical routes against them they sort of balloon back.

Cromartie shut down Andre Johnson. He may not be as hot as Reggie, but that should say something.
I don't think that Cromartie just shut him down though, Schaub has plenty of other weapons to get the ball to and I think that gameplan had a little to do with it.

poster child!
I got it.
Love the post and I agree stay away from this game from a betting standpoint. That said Colts by 10

I think TY is slowly becoming his number 2 go to guy. Everytime Luck is under pressure and a play needs to be made and Reggies not open he's gone to TY. It happened against the Jags up the sideline. It happened when Luck scrambled left and through it to him on the run against Charles Woodson.
I noticed this as well, T.Y. seems to understand sandlot ball real well and moves to the open area when Luck scrambles.
-
He had a wide open touchdown, but Luck over threw him.
Yeah I know but if reggie is taken out we need somebody to take over the possession plays that Reggie usually gets us and that Collie was so good at getting.

The big thing that DB has going for him is that he is a home run threat everytime he touches the ball. If this line could get him to the second level with a head of steam he can take it to the house. We haven't had that since before Edges knee injury.
-
For me the biggest person I see in him is Eli. He looks like he has that ability to shed off a guy while staying in the pocket, move just that little bit that they can't get you.
-
I think Avery will be fine actually, although he is not the best route runner, he proved in a game earlier this year is is capable of catching the short to mid ball fine.
Also Allen and Fleener should be able to take more advantage of the mismatches they will get.
I think their numbers are so low right now partially due to the fact that Reggie seems to be option 1 on almost all routes and if your first read is open or you can see his route coming open no need to go through the progressions.

That is probably a very accurate comparison Hans. Route running IMO matter more than pure speed. These guys are so fast that if you run the route right with the fakes and turns where they are supposed to be you can get open.
Not to mention the hands he has. He was just grabbing the ball, not catching it, He was grabbing it when it got close.
-
I was watching this game just waiting for this breakdown.
I feel like Brown is starting to "get" running behind this line and realizing that bouncing it out is more often than not the right answer instead of plowing into the backs of our guys.
I am waiting for him to break one.

I actually trust Arians with when he decides the team is ready. He has worked with two of the top quarterbacks as Rookies and understands it not just about the QB but the team as a unit.
With the "patchwork' O-line we have had that no huddle is a lot of pressure on them just as much as the QB, they have to make all the calls at the line and can't get in that huddle conversation about stuff to remind guys if they are a little confused.
I think with Luck, Allen, Fleener, and Hilton all being Rookies as well this is going to only get to be a stronger and smarter unit as the year goes on.
Look at that big grab from Wayne near the end of the game where he broke the route back right on Woodson for the first down. Brazil was right there as well, I don't think that was by design.
I love that even running the no huddle Wayne was still moving all over the place.

I do think this is a very favorable part of our schedule, I really need us to put together a complete game though, on all sides of the ball.
-
Romo throws 5 interceptions! Bears D (and Forte) won this game for the Bears IMO. Cutler throws for 2 TD's but Hester and Marshall really had to work to catch many of those throws. I just loved Briggs 74 yard pick 6!
He looked exhausted after that run.
I really like how Andrew has looked so far this season and see nothing but up each and every time.

Thoughts are with coach and his family. I hope for a speedy recovery for non football issues first.

Never thought i would be counting the days until Rietz is back.

Brown continues to show that he is effective in space get him outside

About to start my Sunday morning ritual of Cleaning the living room up and doing some work in preparation for the game.
I hope the run defense can show up again today and we can unleash the speed on Defense.
I really hope Donald Brown can get going today too.

The strength of the line play in the 3-4 can be determined by how free the linebackers are and for the most part this year, our linebackers have had no one on them. They are in the hole to stop the run before it really gets going.
Moala has played really well this year, he is holding his edge on the side and he is really starting to come in to his own.

Booger McFarland during the super bowl run might have something to say about that.
