  1. Good answer by the Colts. Minshew did an excellent job of setting his feet after the scramble before making that big throw to Pittman. This is why I say he’s one of the better backups in the league because when he plays within himself, he can make some things happen and keep an offense semi-effective. He is most certainly not a star or an elite quarterback, but what back up really is?
  2. I know he’s a source of debate on this board, but I would pay him this off-season. He is a generally reliable, good, hard nosed football player. You need guys like that to win.
  3. Still plenty of time left but we need to improve a lot of things soon.
  4. Terrible series regardless by the defense. I can understand playing soft zone, bend but don’t break coverages. However, that thinking goes out the window completely when you’re redone efficiency is as bad as the Colts defense is.
  5. Secondary is awful and it’s dragging the whole defense down. Bradley’s refusal to do anything different doesn’t help the situation either
  6. I really hope he figures it out quick because I have a feeling points are going to be at a premium in this game
  7. Minshew has to start looking at some deeper throws… it’s clear on the first series, that the secondary sitting on the underneath stuff
  8. I don’t usually get on kickers for missing FGs over 50 yards but with his performance last week, how off that kick was and how much he is getting paid, the team relies on him to be better
  9. If Vikings-Bengals goes to OT and cuts into start of Colts game, anyone have any idea of what NFL network will do so those of us watching on TV don’t miss the start?
  10. The defense has to play a lot better than what they did on Sunday. Whether its Trubisky or Rudolph, 21+ points should win this game. Bradley has to be more willing to blitz (and disguise it well) to generate pressure on obvious passing situations if it is clear early on the front four is not getting it done. The secondary will be exposed if the opposing QB is not sped up in their progressions, decision making. They got to do a better job on run defense especially on early downs and generating some negative plays with tackles for loss therefore keeping Pittsburgh in 3rd and longs. Minshew has to take of the ball and not force throws especially if his feet are not set. I thought he was lot better about this yesterday than he was in the Titans game the week prior. Win the turnover battle, establish some type of run game and I think we should be good. Its not going to be a cakewalk by any means. Considering their season is effectively on the line, Tomlin will have those guys ready after the disappointing showing on TNF. The team has to be ready to battle, match physicality for 60 minutes.
  11. Missed opportunity to solidify our playoff standing there. Outside of 1 minute in the late 2nd quarter, we really didn't do a lot in this one. - The defense was flat out awful in this one. If the pass rush (specifically front 4) is performing anything less than an A level, our secondary is going to struggle (regardless of if they are playing man or zone) due to the complete void of talent back there. I thought the game really turned on the first drive of the second half when the Bengals just marched the ball down the field and scored 7 without much resistance. - Minshew did not play great, but I think he looks a lot better in this game if he has a defense that keeps him in it rather than putting him in a hole. Look guys, he is a backup for a reason. Expecting him to consistently make elite throws, big plays when pressured is not realistic. Honestly, I thought he was worse last week. - 35 yards rushing against one of the worst rush defenses in the league. Some of it was the line, but I thought Steichen was a little too predictable about when and where he was running the ball.
  12. This is some to keep an eye on because from what I have seen, Browning seems to play the position better than what’ve seen from Minshew. Backup QB is going to be a critical position for us due to AR’s style of play, skill set and lack of game experience
  13. thank you, it was kinda a big call considering it would’ve brought us to within 10 points with 10 min remaining.
  14. I don’t know about laid down after a bad start… the game was tied at 14 at the half The defense was awful when they needed to be at their best and special teams was terrible as well.
  15. This is probably the worst game team has played as a whole since week 3 at Jax
  16. That’s nonsense should’ve been a Moss TD and 31-21 Absolute ridiculous call
  17. Special teams has been trash today as well -3 on easy FG miss by Gay -4 on the penalty on Bryant on Bengals FG attempt giving them a 1st down -3 on McKenzie muff a few minutes ago
