  1. Get some off tackle runs going and maybe throw on 1st down
  2. Alright..let’s get back on track. If they line 8 in the box, gotta take a deep shot here on 1st down
  3. 100% spot on..I always thought it was a little silly how his on field performance was being marginalized when all his contract stuff was going on
  4. Keep pounding them on the ground! This is Colts football
  5. Wow a well timed blitz and Stroud fires an inaccurate pass..coincidence?
  6. Texans are going to come out taking downfield shots…make someone other than Nico Collins beat you.
  7. Cannot give up this 3rd down upcoming…get off the field
  8. Very much still in this game. Getting that FG before half was nice as it kept it a one score game Need a turnover…10 quarters without one. Offensively, guys need to execute better.
  9. About 4-5 plays have been left on the field by the offense
  10. No but you can change things up once in a while so the opposing QB is sped up.
  11. Even getting a FG here is a win in my book. Get some momentum back before half
  12. This is why you have to some creative blitzing schemes in your defense packages. Can’t exclusively rely on the front 4 to make a qb uncomfortable
  13. Yeah they wrap up properly on that 2nd down they gain at most 1 yd there
  14. No he dropped the ball. He is a professional football player who should catch the ball when it’s put in there that accurately by the QB
  15. Offense is not talented enough to overcome drops, misthrows when the opportunities are there
  16. So far defense has done an overall good job of getting off the field. Minshew needs to settle down…he has missed some throws that have been there.
  17. Offensively, at least, I think the Colts have shown over the course of the season that even with the injuries that they are well coached, schemed enough to get themselves into some opportunities to put points on the board. Currently we are 10th in the league in PPG. Plus, the Texans D is pretty much league average in points and yards per game so do I think the offense can do some things as long as they take care of the ball (Houston is +9 in TO differential this year) which in turn, hopefully, limits the exposure on the defense. My apprehension comes on how our D is going match with their O. Realistically, we probably are not shutting them down, but can they produce the critical situational stops, TOs? Thats where going outside the season long trends regarding coverage calls, blitzing becomes so critical IMO.
  18. Anyone else think this might be the Sunday Night Game next week?
  19. They are going to have to play a clean game. Some of the errors that we have seen in the last few weeks (both in wins and losses) cannot happen. Bradley has to be willing to do things that don't necessarily vibe with his core beliefs and change up coverage and blitzes. I can tell you right now, if they play that soft (5+ yrds off) zone, with no extra rusher Stroud will tear that apart. O'Connell set a career high in passing yards today and I will venture to say 80% of his yards came when the Colts were in zone. Heineke also killed us last week when we played a large part of the game that way. With the way this season has turned out, Stroud is probably going to be the best QB we have faced and he is a completely different player than he was in week 2. That being said, he is still a rookie and they have to try and confuse him, speed him up and not allow him to get comfortable or in a rhythm. I don't think we can win this game without forcing a turnover or two, winning the turnover battle. We have gone two straight games without a turnover and hopefully that ends next week. Offensively, they need to continue to lean on the run game and continue to mix up how they are running and who they are using. I think Trey Sermon has shown enough in both the Steelers game and today that he warrants getting closer to 1/4th to 1/3rd of the total rushing attempts. If Steichen has any wrinkles (such as splitting JT wide) which we have not seen in a few weeks, now is the time to break them out.
  20. - Offense put up 23 points without benefit of any short fields, turnovers. Steichen did a good job of adjusting play calling for the most part late and sticking with running outside the tackles. Trey Sermon once again gave us a boost. - Defense did enough but I absolutely do not like when they play passive sit back zone with no extra rusher. I’m going to take the last Raiders TD drive out of the discussion because with the time and score being what it was, that was probably the smart way to play things but outside of that there are minimal examples of that coverage call helping us. - I hope the coaching staff uses Speed’s bonehead penalty of what can happen and how it can cost the team when you play without awareness regarding the game situation and what a given player is doing on the field. - They are going to have their work cut out for them next week. Houston is a much better team with a confident QB than when we played them in Wk 2. Coaching staff is going to have scheme the heck of out things and the team is going to have minimize the mental mistakes we saw today.
  21. Aidan O’Connell with a career high passing yards…Bradley’s D is gift that keeps giving
  22. And if we’re all being honest about expectations going into this season all of us would’ve signed up for that
