  1. Physical limitations/mistakes I can accept. Mental mistakes where you have no recognition of game situation is inexcusable.
  2. 100% spot on It was pretty clear that Minshew was coached up on the sideline to look at Pierce first especially after missing him the 1st time when the Raiders came up with that look.
  3. I do think of AR plays a full season, Pierce’s numbers perhaps look a lot better.
  4. Don’t want to jinx this, but the defense has done a good job of getting off the field for the most part. Outside of the first drive, offense has not been impressive. Too many mental errors in the passing game with missed reads, poor throws and drops. As Matt Ryan said in the booth a lot of these games come down to a handful of plays and we have not taken advantage of the opportunities that have been there.
  5. The Raiders punter is giving me flashbacks of the Chargers punter from that playoff game in SD approximately 15 years ago. Two straight possessions starting inside the 10.
  6. The play calling needs to reflect more on putting the ball in the hands of our more talented players. 6 straight plays, no JT. Steichen over thinks trying to throw teams out of these stacked boxes sometimes.
  7. Yeah Minshew made a mistake on all three pass plays on the last series. I would like to see get back to running the ball on this series. Even if we’re getting 3-4 yards on these rushing attempts, it keeps the down and distance in a more manageable range
  8. Minshew did not help his line at all on that last sack. He waited way too long to snap the ball, trying to get cute trying to draw them off sides and that allowed The Raiders pass rush to tee off on the snap. He also airmailed MPJ on the 2nd down throw. Bad series there by him
  9. I made this point last week, but a talented and well schemed/coached defense does not give up 3 points on that drive with some of the 3rd down and distances the Raiders were facing. It seems like they leak points when unnecessary.
  10. This secondary has been awful so far.. two of the 3rd down conversions are not on Bradley, but not getting up to make tackles on guys in front of them.
  11. They gotta make tackles when those check down passes are made. Both Franklin and speed missed on first 3rd down. Once again, no pressure on last 3rd down combined with soft zone makes an easy pitch and catch.
  12. Outstanding start by offense. Hopefully, D has a better start than last week vs ATL
  13. Good job of moving in the pocket and creating by Minshew there.
  14. Defensively, Bradley better have some blitz packages ready on the play card ready if is clear early on front 4 is not getting it done. This is Aiden O’Connell we are going against here, not Tom Brady. Offensively, the o-line needs to earn their money and find ways to open holes even if facing 8 man boxes. That’s the whole point of investing the $$$ that has been put in that unit IMO
  15. Thanks for posting, I am a little surprised with so much 11 personnel/3 WRs especially with MPJ being out. I think that perhaps they were anticipating having him available as the week progressed but being such a late week scratch screwed up what they would have done if they knew/were planning on him being out. I would have liked to have seen more snaps for Granson and Mallory considering it seemed that they were probably the Colts most effective receiving threats yesterday.
  16. - Bradley’s defensive strategy especially with how they were playing the pass sunk the team today. I genuinely believe that if they sped Heinicke up on some of the handful of obvious passing down and distances the Falcons had, this is a different, at worst closer, game. - This is why Ballard always gets second guessed with how much investment has been placed in the o-line at the expense of skill positions. The play of that unit needs much more consistently good/elite with what some of those guys are getting paid than what they have done 2 out of the last 3 games. If this team is going to win and get in the playoffs, those guys need to control the LOS in the run game and hold up better in pass pro. - Kylen Granson was the only Colt who did anything to deserve recognition for his play today. I thought he made some really though catches especially on 3rd and 4th downs - Gotta get ready for Las Vegas coming into town. The simple fact is that these team is not talented enough to overcome coaching/strategic errors, mental mistakes. So those things need to be cleaned up before next week. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
