I'd love to see the Colts take a chance on him.  People are saying he's a day 3 pick.  If he's there in the 6th or 7th rounds, we should absolutely take him.  It might require some creativity in how to use him (maybe move him to DB or have him interchange between LB and DB based on the defensive package), but he's got talent and athleticism

For what it is worth, I have him listed as a 3rd rounder right now, but that is always evolving.

Hes definitely an option for us if we trade back

    Agreed!

I like how Ballard has recently mentioned Brian Urlacher more often. I understand that I could be reaching by thinking this.... But I see Edmunds as an Urlacher type of player. I think it is possible that Ballard does too.

I am sure he is in our plans if we trade back. It would just make too much sense.

Yeah...those things can make a big difference. But when I saw the first one, I felt like it might not be accurate...but still very fast.

Probably more of a 4.5 guy, which is still very impressive.

Possibly. It will be interesting to see the official times.

I think the official time on the first run will be a 4.37 and I say this because of the simulcam runs. He was hair faster than his brother who ran an official 4.38 40.

I'm more interested in other Drills that show a more athletic movement to get to QB. Will he separate himself and be a pick worthy of #3? Or will others put up similar numbers and can be drafted later?

I am not ready to say any defender should get picked anywhere just yet.

However, a 275 pound dude running a 4.66 40 yard dash is pretty damn impressive.

I look for the 40 yard dash and 3-cone combination. If they make the Explosive Edge Rushers list then it will get my attention. Chubb and Davenport are both half-way there.

I'm still hedging bets that we'll see more cover 3 press man thsn cover 2 zone...

You never know. It seems to be the hottest thing in today's NFL.

Chargers, Falcons, Jaguars all primarily run it. The Seahawks run it along with an Under front.

The 49ers, Dolphins, Redskins, and Saints all run versions of it.
