It would be very hard to make a decision to mess this all up.
That said, as pointed out above, injuries can happen.
There are a lot of good decisions for Ballard to make and very few bad ones.

I think Davenport could be REALLY good in a few years. The way he plays reminds me a little of Neil Smith, former all pro with the Chiefs years ago. Really long, strong and fast.
Yeah. I agree.
Davenport needs to be polished up, but his upside is ridiculous.

Hes definitely an option for us if we trade back
Agreed!
I like how Ballard has recently mentioned Brian Urlacher more often. I understand that I could be reaching by thinking this.... But I see Edmunds as an Urlacher type of player. I think it is possible that Ballard does too.
I am sure he is in our plans if we trade back. It would just make too much sense.

Yeah...those things can make a big difference. But when I saw the first one, I felt like it might not be accurate...but still very fast.
Probably more of a 4.5 guy, which is still very impressive.
Possibly. It will be interesting to see the official times.
I think the official time on the first run will be a 4.37 and I say this because of the simulcam runs. He was hair faster than his brother who ran an official 4.38 40.

I think it was a bit of a hot gun on that first one.
Could be. The second run was 4.58. That's a big difference.
I do think he got a slower start the second time though. First run, he popped right off the line.

I want to see him do it again.
We are getting close. No way NFL Network goes to break before he runs again. They do not want to miss it and have to replay it. This will be seen live.

That's a Boss time! Didnt he use to be a DB at some point?
Yep. Some teams are rumored to be interesting in him as a safety. His brother plays in the Seahawks secondary.

I'd be shocked if Chubb runs a 4.7 40. I see him having similar workout numbers to Derek Barnett, with maybe a better vertical and broad jump.
It is officially a 4.65.
Someone get the paddles for Superman. CLEAR!

After Chubb completes all of the drills, would you mind calculating how he performed in relation to the formula?
Absolutely!

I'm more interested in other Drills that show a more athletic movement to get to QB. Will he separate himself and be a pick worthy of #3? Or will others put up similar numbers and can be drafted later?
I am not ready to say any defender should get picked anywhere just yet.
However, a 275 pound dude running a 4.66 40 yard dash is pretty damn impressive.
I look for the 40 yard dash and 3-cone combination. If they make the Explosive Edge Rushers list then it will get my attention. Chubb and Davenport are both half-way there.

says he's not expected to resign with Atlanta. Could be interesting teaming him up with Hankins if it happens.
We have seen this movie already, and half-way through we decided to watch another movie.

Several others with Better and similar times. Need to see other Drills to see if he separates himself from rest.
Let's not forget that Chubb is 6'4", 275 and Davenport is 6'6", 255.

Not calling you out man....
BUT, I didn't even expect Chubb to run a 4.66 40. It is an unofficial time, so I am not saying much until the official time rolls in.
WOW!

I'm still hedging bets that we'll see more cover 3 press man thsn cover 2 zone...
You never know. It seems to be the hottest thing in today's NFL.
Chargers, Falcons, Jaguars all primarily run it. The Seahawks run it along with an Under front.
The 49ers, Dolphins, Redskins, and Saints all run versions of it.

It is like a post mortem report for our dead offense.
The autopsy has been performed, but we already knew the cause. We were all saying the same things that the stats show, and we said it while it was happening.

For what it is worth, I have him listed as a 3rd rounder right now, but that is always evolving.
