  1. This is one of the few games I tuned in to see this season other than colts. I'm enjoying it...you guys probably remember how much I wanted Ballard to draft willis....and then he fell to late 3rd round and still we didn't get him.

Regardless how he turns out its disappointing he's not a colt and wasn't given a chance with us.

Anyway lets.enjoy the game from two good, well coached teams.

    Penalty.

If the Titans want to have a chance of staying in this game Willis is going to need plays that might take advantage of his skill set.so far in his development..... and that's his legs. Pocket passing is not going to cut it. A Lemar  Jackson type of playbook if they don't want to get blown out.....but a blowout will be hard to.avoid regardless.

I took the Colts straight up, only put 50 on it but cashed it in for 400.

I bet half on the money line too and the other half on the betting line.

I had this Bet to beat the chiefs in my mind in preseason if we lost the opener and in Jacksonville.... It's nice having a understanding how the Football.Gods work. Lol

    Congrats again.

I had to fine tune Homer into the machine he used to be, his 900 pound bench press, 1400 pound squat, 4.0 speed. I told him it was good to be back buddy, hell YES!! we put that KC monster to bed.

This was Easy Money, wasn't it my friend :yahoo:.

I know you made a little cash on this game like I did. I wasn't on here a lot this week, but I only remember you and i with strong opinions of us winning today. I.know you know more about how the Football.Gods work than you let on.

Congrats, enjoy the team win and the CA$H. :pie::banana:

Highly, highly doubtful he ever considered trying to move up in the draft for a QB, due to his comments about “setting the franchise back.” Rivers, Wentz and Ryan were “win now” acquisitions and “cheaper” options believe it or not.

If, he had made a bold move like trading a couple 1st to secure a potential franchise QBs and that failed, I think you’d see a lot less pitchforks, because at least he recognized and attempted to fix the #1 problem going forward. Now we’re at year 6. Rinse and repeat.

    I agree.

I posted that because I seen that there were posts that we don't know what Ballard "tried" to do.

I know that you have been a Colts fan for almost as long as me.  I saw Unitas, at the end of his career, and my favorite player ever, was Bert Jones....this is an absolute mess right now.  There is no sugar coating it, it is what it is.  Paying "Q" LT money, when you actually need a LT is stupid....paying an extension for Hines and Cox, when you don't utilize them, is stupid!  When you let an inferior CB hold you ransom, when he sucks, is stupid, yet you keep using him?  STUPID!  When you sign a stud CB and take away his strength by playing a soft zone, is incrediblly STUPID!  KC might just get 100 points against this team, smfh

...and don't forget giving Reich & Ballard undeserved extensions!

ballard hired reich .........    thats his guy  he needs to go down with him

Reich was the emergency hire after McDaniels left Ballard at the altar. Ex colts like peyton, polian, etc... recommended Reich for the emergency the colts was in....so Irsay hired Reich due to the circumstances.... like a donut spare tire temporarily put on until you replace it with a Full Size tire. The problem is the colts doing what the colts do are still driving with the donut spare. haha

To me, many fans have a misconception that the teams that make these runs in the playoffs don’t have weaknesses or are significantly better than our roster. Sure the teams are built different than Indy and I think that’s what gets to some fans. They see a specific strategy working well for a few years and it becomes easy to assume you can’t win another way. I just don’t follow that line of thinking, I think there are a couple of different ways to make a run and I think Indy is down one of those paths. Strong defensive play with high turnovers, efficient spread offense with a featured run game.

....but the Teams that have weaknesses/depth issues and still WIN BIG make up for it by having Elite Players at key positions/Game changers.

Examples, Stafford & Kupp, Burrow & Chase, Brady & Gronk, Rogers & the WR they traded away....plus of course supporting cast of weapons/playmakers. And some playmaking pass rushers.

The colts best players on offense are a elite RB, a Guard, Pittman who is not on the level of others at his position around the league, and a near 40 year old QB. The teams that will rise to the top in the AFC definitely look on paper that they have the 'advantage' over us if they need a quick strike or in a  high scoring game.

Our strength is probably our Defense, but unfortunately we're playing in a league that favors offense & offensive playmakers and that is the disadvantage we will be facing when/if we get into playoff football.

I didn't like the shirt Ballard wore on the Saturday of the draft.

(There weren't many Ballard complaints lately.  I'd hate to see this thread die out.)

I don't  know about his shirts but what little I've seen of him he looks like he's really put on some weight.
